Thank you for this!! I’m a newbie (just received a week ago) with my xtool so this was so helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice, informative as always. That you for your time putting out these videos.
Glad you like them!
Thats fantastic. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
Did you do this with the Xtool 10w or the 20w? Thabks for the great video!
I think this was my 10 watt
As always an interesting video
Thanks again!
When you do round logos, do you have to stretch the image out in Laserbox in order for it to come out round on the tumbler?
I haven't had an issue yet. I use laserbox for tumblers. I design the burn in lightburn and export
Do you use any different settings when you use a re-used tumbler. I little while ago I saw how you sand a flop tumbler to clean it off and re-use. I have tried the same. Coated with Cermark, did burn at 100% power and 70mm/sec settings. Image did not take. Should I use different settings?
Make sure its clean, dust will act as a barrier to keep it from bonding. Clean with a majic eraser and rubbing alcohol. Cermark is pretty consistent in my experience.
I know you have done a video showing coated to stainless, struggling getting this right, you mentioned 70mm/sec at 100% is that correct? this does not burn through the powder coat on my tumblers so they do not clean well, wondering if your running slower? have the D1 10watt like you in SC hot humid so should be similar. what is your line spacing also, hopefully all the questions are ok thanks in advance!!
The speed is color dependant, slower for lighter colors. 70mm/s is black. You will have to go to about 50 mm/s for white and other light colors. Reflectivity has an effect, the less reflective the faster you can go.
Can you help me with the lines per cm i am not understanding the concept of this settings thanks i enjoy your vidoes
Kinda like with TVs, the higher the number, the more pixels. You only want to run it as high as your laser can handle. about 300 is as high as most machines can do without overlapping the line.
@TheClackShack thanks I did try that before seeing your reply. I think it maybe the mugs that my wife got off of Amazon not sure maybe it is my ra2 at fault I'll keep trying something else thanks again
I put the alcohol into a cheap spray bottle to apply.
I am just messy...lol
Thanks for the video. Have you figured out the cost of the marking spray per tumbler. Not sure how many you can coat with one can.
I get around 50 depending on the size of the burn.
@@TheClackShack Is that with the large can?
@@videoscrapheap , yes
What ceramark do you use?

What xtool should I want to start off with to do this?
Thanks
The 20 watt D1 pro is more than capable. They have some newer machines as well but cost will be higher
Curious to what you charge for the tumblers?
I charge 15$ a burn, 10 for 20 or morel
@@TheClackShack Thank you! I had a request to burn some and priced it at $10.00 for 10 and the guy thought that was to high. This is just a hobby for me and I just wanted to try the tumblers ;-) Great video!
