    Roben-Marie I'm trying to find the 100 day videos for 2020 with the tea bags. I can't find a playlist, am I missing it or is there something to search for? I'd love to watch them all

    Robin Marie, I am so glad that you are once again publishing videos on TH-cam! Your voice is delightful to listen to, and I love your clear instructions on how you’re doing something so that we are able to do it ourselves at home! Have a blessed safe and healthy day!

    Roben, thank you for sharing how you prepare the tea bags and under papers. I really like how this gives the art piece a great starting place instead of staring at a blank page!!!

    I was waiting for the use of the tea bags. What happened

      Hey! This video is an introduction to my plans for The 100 Day Project. Per the description, "In this video, I share my process for preparing tea bags and my approach to the project!" I shared how I prepared the tea bags. And how I plan to incorporate them into the art I planned to create. I shared this in the video.

    omg! I know you don’t remember me but I first “met” you during the Documented Life Project, which literally changed my life & kept me sane (relatively speaking) during my mother’s (now 95 years old) brain surgery & recovery. I also took your online Decorated File Folder class. You’ll never know how much that kept me grounded during that time & not jumping off a cliff! 😘 😘 😘

    This is so great. I have been collecting tea bags for a few weeks and didn’t know where to start with making ephemera. Thank you so much. I will get to making things today. Best regards from South Africa 🇿🇦

    The "i" in Twinings is a long "i" as in "twine."

    Hello Roben-Marie!! I was just wondering what you will be using the papers for when the #100daysofteabagpapers is over? I love all your under papers. I am in love with your whole style.
    Happy Crafting and God Bless

    What kind of paper is the foundation paper?

    • @RobenMarieSmithArt
      @RobenMarieSmithArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was a few years ago, but I normally use newsprint and sketchbook paper.

    What do you use for under paper? Love the video. I was searching tea staining and came across yours. I never thought of using the bag too!

      Glad you enjoyed it! I use mostly construction paper and newsprint (my favorite). Yep! I am using the tea bags in this new series!

    Do the tea bags ever mold while they are drying and before you remove the tea?

    • @RobenMarieSmithArt
      @RobenMarieSmithArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question and no I have not had that happen. They dry overnight and I usually dump the tea out within a few days.

    The hundred day project is so not for disabled artists that work when we can. But you didn’t show how you use your tea bags in mixed media?

      The beauty of The 100 Day Project is that you do it your way. Some extend it beyond 100 days, work in batches, etc.

    I love this! The newsprint you used in this video, did you gesso it prior to painting or was it really just a doodle product?

    • @RobenMarieSmithArt
      @RobenMarieSmithArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much and I used gesso as a base first.

      Can you use watercolor ground before you watercolor. Or do you find gesso better with watercolor paint

    Hey Roben,
    Love this project! I can’t wait to experiment with tea bags! I have a weird question, where did you get your dish towel?? I love it! Thanks! Suzanne

    • @RobenMarieSmithArt
      @RobenMarieSmithArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much!! I got the dish towel at Anthropologie. While that one is likely not available, they often have different lines of products made by artists. Keep an eye out!
