This could have been much longer so anything that wasn't listed isn't necessarily "not good", just not something that I personally didn't (or won't) get heavy use out of. One item I failed to mention that was also big for me was the Force USA Gapless Rubber Floor Tiles. If there's an item you're curious about or want to see in 2025 let me know down below. And thank you again to all of you for the support this year.
I keep finding more and more value from the superbench. The fact that the crunch attachment can be used as a leg holder for lat pulldowns is fantastic. Also, the dip bar can actually be used as a foot brace for cable low rows. The versatility of that thing is incredible.
Lol heck Mike I could watch you review fitness equipment all day. Thanks for another gem of a video, and I have to admit that new total gym does look pretty bad ass.
I caught it! @11:08, lol. Great video, Mike. You covered a ridiculous amount of equipment in a short period of time. It’s still crazy to me, seeing how much your home gym has evolved. Especially considering how most of that evolution has occurred in just a few years. Happy New Year to you and the family!
@@SkylerKingTW thanks brother as always. I plan upping my Easter egg game in 2025 utilizing some Skyler King AI. Happy New year to you and your family as well.
Man, we've come a long way from the Sliding Bench Trainer days! I remember when it was 95% SBT with an occasional OYO or Iron Chest Master product review. Congrats on the growth of the channel! Clearly the focus is on lifting iron now as opposed to other forms of resistance. Just a reminder - whether or not it meets your home gym needs, there is no better compact travel work out than the Synapse CCR.
Appreciate it Parker! If we got locked down again and I had no weight and no room, it would be SBT all day! Using this garage was a game changer and it was only this year I finally committed to actually put down flooring. I actually had a viewer reach out to me about sending me their Synapse, but they ended up selling it. I'm sure that things cool, it's just my interest isn't there to use it. I'd be happy to review if they sent me one though.
Your gym has rotated a lot. I think my best purchases have come from your reviews. I got the: Harambe System, Squat Harness, Bullworker, Dragon Door, Clench Fitness, Vector Athletics, and even a Cellerciser from the reviews this year. Surprisingly, my favorite purchase has been the Bullworker system. I find it to be extremely practical, portable, and very enjoyable to use. Another favorite would be the Cellerciser. I wouldn’t have thought I’d enjoy rebounding, but it does help a lot with priming me for a heavy squat day along with some cardio benefits and joint relief. The main regret I have this year is the Transformer Bar X Rogue. I felt I overspent money on it, and I should have bought the Iron Master Super Bench Pro 2. Thanks again for your honest reviews and recommendations.
Great year in review. Over the past year I have migrated back to the gym, where I have a trainer and ability to hit legs hard. I still workout at home with a GR8FLEX, ROGUE BANDS/Anchor Gym, TRX and adjustable Dumbells, many acquired based on your videos.
Thank you. That's a solid plan there. Although I don't have one, I'm a promoter of having both a cheap gym membership and a home gym. My "problems" at the end of the video could be mitigated by having cheap membership .
For the titan leg curl/extension - a lot of people put a 25 or 35 pound plate on the stopper knob. That way, you can start the movement with a more consistent weight profile.
Yes, someone else mentioned that in the comments. I actually featured that on my initial review of it, but personally though I think if you have the flexibility and are able to really crank into the start position, I don't really notice much of a difference (or at least to me) makes it worth it to throw the weight on.
I just received my SYL TS 2.0 and used it the pass few days. I really love the iso handles for benching and shoulder pressing. Definitely a game changer and hope to review it soon comparing both versions.
@hybridresistance since I've retired at almost 64 and am living on 30% of what my salary was when I was working, I have to do it on the cheap. Sorry if it seems like I am always complaining about cost. I was an Accountant, lol, that's what accountants do :-(
I'd love to see a video of how to duplicate what you've got on the cheap. BTW, I am pulling the trigger on the Clench foot plate and bar (when it's back in stock).
Great video! Totally agree with you on the Rogue RM-3. I honestly think it is the perfect rack with ability to expand down the road if needed. As an aside the RM-3 to 6 post conversion is far superior IMO to the RM-6. Great video Mike, hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a happy new year with your loved ones!
I would like to see a similar video but on cable attachment hits and misses. I think you have a unique perspective because you use attachments in so many different ways.
That's a cool flag you've got there with the Scripture. Is it custom? As far as your spatial issue, could you maybe angle one of the items diagonally against a corner like that treadmill? The Force USA leg press is awesome there's no way I'd cut that from my arsenal.
I'm loving my Powertec Levergym. Would like to see some more video workouts on it. I got a Syedee pec fly/rear delt machine for Christmas. Loving these machines. Waiting for the powertec preacher curl attached to be in stock again. For legs, would you recommend the powertec leg curl attachment or something else?
Thanks Eric. You you want weight stack, probably the Titan one, otherwise for plate loaded you can find a lot that are super cheap. I just can't speak for them as I haven't tried a dedicated dual cable.
Another great review have not missed one yet. I've been hitting the gym lately more for my legs is there really a way to get the same with the legs on a Total Gym?
I used the Total Gym for my legs for three years, so you can definitely can. But I for sure lost some size and strength when compared to the free weight exercises I was using. Long story short, you can, they can just be a little cumbersome to set up, not as efficient, and might just a little more attention.
For sure, I use them almost every workout (even featured some exercises in the video). I mentioned the Clench bar in case you missed it as far as band related product. But as far as actual bands, it's really just subtle differences between them and personal preference. I've also so many that I end up just grabbing them based on size for the main exercises I use them for.
I actually find they compliment each other as the seated calf raise you can really feel the difference in the mid calf. The seated is nice because I don't have to set the barbell up, but that's kind of a minor point.
@hybridresistance I'm so totally kidding lol. You have to buy more stuff so i don't have to!And I didn't hear it that much! But yes, will make a drinking game out it 😂
Hey Mike - I have the Titan leg extension leg curl as well and if you’re familiar with Home Gym Hacks and Reviews he has an excellent hack of placing a 35lb plate on the removable pin to position the weight horn higher. For me this hack took the machine from good to great. Hope you’ll give it a try
Came to say the same thing. That hack saved me 2-3k because I was looking for a selectorized leg ext./leg curl until I tried it. Makes the machine definitely worth keeping now
@@AlexanderRodriguez-lm1qw thanks man. I have seen people mention this in a few different places and have tried it, but personally I the machine works good the way it is. I might’ve actually addressed this in my initial review but I can’t remember. Resistance bands also work really well to Increase the stress but again I just find the base level working on the machine to be fine on its own. But totally personal preference here.
@@hybridresistance fair enough. Maybe I’ll give that another try as well. The one thing about that hack that is irritating is it does make switching between extensions and curls much harder since you have to deload all of the plates to swing the arm over rather than just popping out the pin

I think it's really a gamble on how they will fit you individually so I can't really comment without trying it. As for the stray dog, that looks cool, I just know I'd be more apt to use it if it's always locked on.
@@DaviWalt upon making that review, I heard so many comments about the seat that I honestly never thought about it until I saw the comments. Personally, I rarely actually use the seat. I forget the reason, but the iron master rep did have a good reason why they designed the seat the way they did. Other than the seat and the dumbbells, my next favorite things in their ecosystem would have to be the kettlebell and weight vest.
