@Yah Hus its only physics 1, thats just an introductory class, if it was Physics C maybe. Its kinda equivalent to thinking you can get into any college by getting a perfect score on BC calc.
@Yah Hus Physics C is much harder than Physics I, I took physics 1 and its just a simple intro physics course, got an easy 5. Taking physics C this year and its much harder because it uses calculus. I agree, it would be impressive on college apps, but not enough to get a guaranteed application, because a perfect score on an introductory course is definitely less valuable than a very high score in multiple higher level courses. Regardless, this guy will def go on and do good in physics C and stuff so should get into epic colleges lol :)
@Yah Hus Here’s my reasoning. The fact only 1 person scores perfect shows that there is an element of luck involved. Obviously, you have to be extremely familiar with the concepts but you also have to guess lucky on a few problems. It’s kind of like the SAT, where top colleges put all scores 1520+ in the same category. A score of 5+ shows mastery and anything beyond that is generally considered obsolete. Getting the only perfect score is just a cool achievement but it won’t be treated as all-encompassing to the extent where every school will accept you
