I like the usefulness of the bridge. Thinking flat is easy, but thinking three dimensionally is much harder. And yeah, Cyclic pipes are pretty much poo.
I wouldn't be surprised if the filters work fine in general. I think the hopper put the items into the pipes itself. You colud try to disable all item output of the hopper and just pull with the pipes.
One of the main problems with the cyclic pipes is that they’ll pull things out of inventories without making sure there’s a place for them to go, and then get clogged because they will refuse to move anything else until the first item in the queue is gone.
