Class video man, though to clear up, he is supposed to be the same Leatherface from 1974. In really badly written expositon its supposed to be after the original the woman who ran the very racist childrens home took him in as one of her "boys". So he adopted her as his mother figure. Makes absolutely no sense as to why he abandons the remaining family he had at the end of the original movie, or how he's that spry for a man well into his 70s by this point 😂
My mind is having difficulties processing that...I totally believe you! I must have misread when the Texas Ranger Original Survivor Lady is having her face off with Leatherface and she says, "You don't remember me?" and Leatherface disregards her. I thought that was a really sad moment movie. This lady spent her entire life trying to find the man who terrorized her, thinks she has found him, but nope. It was just another chainsaw wielding maniac wearing someone else's face as a mask. I hope the Texas Ranger Original Survivor Lady can finally find some closure...what are the odds? But now, in my new understanding he just really didn't recognize her because she was either not that important of a person in his life for him to remember or because his body count is just so high, all of his victims have begun to blur into the same faceless persona. Wild stuff! I am glad they did not explore and elaborate on those details too much. It makes absolutely no sense...The creepy racist orphanage brought him in as a fully grown man. He had to be in his early to mid-twenties. I just realized! He was missing a mother figure! That was what kept him in line. There was no mother in the original and he was out of control!
