FRANKENHOOKER is an unofficial remake of THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE -- in my opinion. It managed to be funny and be a decent parody/remake.

The problem with remakes of cheesy movies like this, is that they are more like a Saturday Night Live skit. They don't have the shock/schlock value. And are like something out of National Lampoon.

The reason why we love those old cheesy horror films in the first place is because they give us something crazy and then proceed to take it seriously so we can appreciate it on that level while simultaneously marveling in the cheese. The comedy sketch approach takes all that away from us, leaving very little to enjoy.
I say give us something authentic and let us figure out what the cheese is worth.

Second one would been classic BUT THEY STILL HAVENT GOT IT RIGHT. THE MONSTER FROM CLOSET SHOULD BEEN SHOWN HOW HE LEFT HOUSE. WALKEN TO DOOR OUTSIDE. HE SHOULD BEEN HIT BY CAR THEN THEY GO OVER TO IT AND IT VANISH. WOULD BEEN BETTER ENDING. SO VIEW THINKS HE WALK OFF AS WE SEE IT WALK IN TO DARK. GREAT FOR ANOTHER SEQUELL.
