I had a friend that had a whole lung taken out...he as one of the best hockey player..up till his late 60's...Have another that had a double lung transplant 10years ago!..
Thank you for your vulnerability in sharing about your journey Chef AJ! God loves you Chef AJ and wants you to be well. God loves you Rip and wants a relationship with you. God bless you two❤️❤️ Prayers for healing ❤️🩹
Thank you so much for having Chef AJ on. I am fighting stage 4 cancer and her new series on her channel has helped me tremendously in different areas of my life. Chef AJ and her guests have also helped deepen my faith, which is the main thing getting me through. Cancer obviously sucks and I think it isn't talked about like it should be, so things are assumed, which are often incorrect. And things are said by friends and family that are meant to be helpful, but people just don't know unless they've gone through it or had a close person in their life go through it. Hopefully, Chef AJ's new direction on her channel can bring to light many of the truths surrounding cancer and cancer treatments. Plus, help cancer patients be better advocates for themselves, which has made all the difference for me (palliative care is also key). And, of course, to also continue to give hope.
AJ I am so glad you are doing IFS with your trusted practitioner. My oldest brother was a practitioner and I know he helped so many people heal from their issues. He passed away from colon cancer in 2022. He thought that the emotional piece was all that was needed. I am so glad you have a multi faceted approach to your healing journey. You have got this!
Don’t know what it is about that lady. I have never met her (except in TH-cam), but I sure love her. Every time I hear her talk about her diagnosis, I feel goosebumps and a surge of love towards her. Thanks for having her on Rip. It was good to get an update.
Thank you, Rip for having Chef AJ on today. I will always be tremendously grateful to her since stumbling on her podcast five years ago and she was able to turned everything around for me. I have successfully been whole food plant based reaching my goals ever since. You are both inspirations while continuously supporting this wonderful community with your knowledge, love and commitment. Thank you, you’re greatly appreciated!
"Life has been given, and life has been taken away. Life and death are one even as the river and the sea are one. Death is only a horizon, and a horizon is but the limit of our sight." Beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
The comment AJ made that "I feel like I've let people down" ABSOLUTELY BROKE ME!!!! First of all, nothing could be further than the truth!!!! And second of all, if there is one thing we all know is that any disease that can NOT be prevented from taking hold of our bodies will have a MUCH easier time doing it if the body is ALSO having to fight all the diseases WFPB CAN prevent or heal.
I totally feel the same way: I like eating healthy foods. I have not the slightest interest in eating crap. Ever again. I enjoy eating whole plant foods exclusively.
I think the big thing about forgiveness is that God wants us to do it. Regardless of what you believe now, someday we all will hope that God will be forgiving of us. Matthew 6: 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 “But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Yeshua taught this but he also knew that hanging on to unforgiveness is toxic to us. (Not saying this has any connection to AJ’s cancer.) We’ve all been hurt by people and some of them are dead. I find just saying out loud that “I forgive --- for what they did.” It might feel hard but just do it and let it go. Sometimes I’ll just leave it in God’s hands and tell him I need him to take it.
Regarding the etiology of anyone's cancer, in my opinion/thinking about it, we live in an increasingly toxic environment. Even upper middle class people are exposed to carcinogens in the air, water, foods, cosmetics, cleaning products + the off-gassing of toxins from the bodies of others. The petro-chemical industries, which are relatively recent in our lives (watch the classic movie, The Graduate, where in the pool scene the guy puts his arm around Hoffman... you know the scene), we're all living in a toxic soup. This, imo, is how anyone can wind up having a cancer.
Regarding forgiveness (what a bunch of excellent topics to discuss)- the simple fact is there are people in the world, in everyone's life, who lack a conscience. They are without conscience, which means they are incapable of empathy, love, and they don't value life, beauty, music, friends, and have no emotional attachments that are genuine or authentic. They are inauthentic people. They always harm others. They are destructive people in our lives. They are in every social stratum, in every walk of life, from the street level on up to the power and wealth elites. Surviving interactions with such individuals is hard. They make people feel very stressed to say the least. And often they're not avoidable, at least not totally. Protecting and defending oneself from this sort of person is critically important for healing, for recovering one's health, in order to reduce stress. But as to forgiving such individuals, I just don't know. It's hard protecting and defending our love, empathy, and everything good that we know. Perhaps forgiving ourselves for being fooled? That might be the best way in this sort of "relationship" with this type of other.

Could someone link the original Chef AJ show? Thanks.
