Quite impressive to have a 10-minute song in this day and age. Most songs don't even crack 3 minutes. Most have no intro, no mid solo, and end abruptly with no outro or ad-lib fade-out.
i needed it to be exactly what this was. original song longer. i feel the other ten minute versions are too “folklore?” if that makes sense. quieter and without that twang kinda feel on the guitar
There's something about the angriness of 2012 Taylor that didn't come through in the re-recording, and it's honestly so sad. However, this does a pretty good job of getting close!! Salud!

While I personally love the updated production (it gets me in my feels, which I think is very appropriate for the song), it's also really cool to hear this version, and I kinda wish we'd gotten both. I agree with another commenter that I want to see Taylor release something like this -- it doesn't seem like that much of a stretch, after all the remixes she released of 'willow' and other songs.

The thing I like about this mix is that it sounds cohesive. That is the ONE thing I don’t like about ATWTMVTVFTV. The original pieces feel original and the newer parts seem like they don’t fit. I just wish it felt like a cohesive unit. Well done.
This is just a magnificent song..however you listen to it....I really like this version...but I also like the recorded version...and Taylor's acoustic versions....and the SNL version with a bit more attitude punch...all just brilliant...How can a masterpiece ever sound bad ( unless someone who can't sing covers it....But then it's them who sounds bad not the song ) Thanks loved it
if yall wondering why didn’t taylor used this instrumental to use it at her re-recorded all too well is because everything needs to be re-recorded again. if she used this instrumental, half of all too well is hers and not hers like 50/50, she half owned all too well if she used the old one. but i love this version too
they're not literally gonna use the old instrumental, they're gonna rerecord a new instrumental that is similar to the original so that Taylor would own the piece. If you'd notice, the new version instrumental is a little bit different from the original instrumental used in the 2012 stolen all too well.
i like to think that taylor never used this rock-country like instrumental because she want us to have a new feel to the 10 minute version. we all know the 5 minute all too well is sad but with the instrumental of 10 minute version, the sadness of the song is a lot more emphasized, and I like it better this way because it's not called a new "version" just for it to have the same instrumental as the original.

No, it's not Jack's fault. It's the original way the song was meant to be. Remember this song was made at a rehearsal for Speak Now, the band had this type of sound in their head. Enjoy the music and stop criticizing 🙄
