yeah he is really great. i was lucky enough to have him as a tech at my HS this past year...amazing player and a good guy :D Congrats on winning I&E this year!
I liked the showmanship. He looked at the audience rather than focusing on the end of his sticks. Rolling the sticks between the fingers is an art that is appreciated more with a camera closeup. Was the cameraman asleep?
I'm a fan of Pearls. They're by far the most reliable. Really the sound of the snare is dependent on the heads and the tuning, although, any group that played on dynasty in 04 sounded weird.
He didn’t place first in 2004 so he revised his solo during his 2007 season with the Blue Devils and won I&E. Damien Masterson of the Mandarins did the same thing during the 2017 and ‘18 seasons.
For you HATERS saying "it's the same as his 07 solo that's lame" idiots a lot of people play the same solo every year and make minor changes in efforts to win.. Haven't you heard of working smart and not hard.. The judges don't care plus they change almost every year
an overall nice solo. lots of cool stick tricks but the note were ehh.. just one question. wtf is noel playing on? cuz that does not sound like a snare drum.
sure looks like he would have lost some big points when he dropped his stick. however, if it wasn't for that, that part could have been commentlessly awesome
2004 was a GREAT year for I&E solos.
Noel was a tech for my high school drumline one day. Cool guy. And he doesn't suck, no one is perfect.
excellent...great showmanship and precision...
I was sitting under the camera that recorded this...this man had hands!
Thats so sweet hes entering one this year too, he marches BD.
wow. noel's got hands. I can't believe he got to march Boston, Phantom, and BD. LUCKY lol
yeah. we had a guy from drum corp help us out my freshman year in 95, and we he did it, we almost threw up lol. it was that sick!! =)
Wow..i cant believe I am just now seeing this..Great percussionist!
yeah he is really great. i was lucky enough to have him as a tech at my HS this past year...amazing player and a good guy :D Congrats on winning I&E this year!
No, he marched BAC in 2003 and 2004. Took 2005 off, marched Phantom in 2006 and or course BD in 2007.
VERY AWESOME! I love his showmanship. It's hard to keep going after you mess up really bad. Great performance!
I playedwith him for about 25 minutes at a show in Tupelo. Hes really cool. He also has monster chops!!!

That snare is gorgeous.
that part with all the singles was cool
omg my freaking god... that's amazing
WOW!
2:19.....the finger trick didn't work for him this year but he NAILED it in '07.
besides the drop.. id say that was one HELLOFA great job!
he used portions of this solo in his 2007 one
He marched PR and then BD

this shit is fucking ridiculous.
I saw him on the drumhard forum say he got 2nd place.
sick cheese inverts and gravity blast nice job man
@64wilson i got a good laugh outta that.. thanks lol
his solo from 2007 sounded alot like this and it had alot of the same stuff
He didn’t place first in 2004 so he revised his solo during his 2007 season with the Blue Devils and won I&E. Damien Masterson of the Mandarins did the same thing during the 2017 and ‘18 seasons.

why did they turn out the lights close to the end?
damn, walk the dog ruined it. shit, that sucked for him. but head up dude, still you did good.
I think he won 07 or 08, He does that same trick flawlessly check it out
And they wouldn't let him march!? Ouch...
Considering ALL of his experience plus his 2007 snare champion title, they'd help provide lol.
Did he do backsticking invert cheese's at like 0:36 - 0:40?
1:36 to 1:45 is crazy!
an overall nice solo. lots of cool stick tricks but the note were ehh.. just one question. wtf is noel playing on? cuz that does not sound like a snare drum.
You should really say which corps he represents. (BC)
I think he should have won despite the drop... that fucking left hand section he did was insane... That would be hard NOT to drop.
Did Noel march Boston Crusaders in 2005 as well?
what's with the thriller outfit?
hez fukin crAzy
thats funny he won i&e 2007
He didn't march anywhere in '05
hes from a drum line and lol drum lines have mostly one beat....
can u take a look at my video called marching snare drum solo? I'm gonna try to do i & e next year with it, and i would like some feedback from a pro.
Boston Crusaders. He has aged now though.
can he play drumset?
No, he when to BD.
what place did he ended
*slap*
sally
dang. the dropped stick probobly killd his place but besides that hes good.
KIWANIS 02 BAC 03-04 PR 06 BD 07
SLOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
seems like he plays that same pattern the whole time, but good solo nonetheless.
You know, I used to think I was pretty good, then I saw this....
Those are all paradiddles.
sure looks like he would have lost some big points when he dropped his stick. however, if it wasn't for that, that part could have been commentlessly awesome
haha lol
He could've won, but he mest'd up his stick tricks, that ruined him.
yea but now he's dead broke lol, he was supposed to march infinity this year but couldn't cuz he was out of money.
lmfao
OK guys, dont get me wrong here, he's amazingly good, but he just doesnt have the style of these others, right?
yeah he is way better than this after 3 years
Which makes you below average
those inverts at the end were just bullshit fast WTF
