This era of In Flames is untouchable, every song was fantastic. I'd love to see some more maybe :)
Yes please!
Check out The Halo Effect! All former In Flames members from back in the day and the singer of Dark Tranquility.
That riff that starts at 0:54 ... had my head banging along with it. Great cover.
Thanks Alex!
Whoa ...super OG to pick Jester's Dance then straight up NAIL it! Cheers!
Excellent work. Fantastic production quality, too.
Thanks so much!
I needed this today
Huhu back when In Flames was still a thing for me. The disappeard from my radar after Whoracle. What a great album it was !
I love this, it’s so cool how you took an old song and gave it a modern spin. The Jester Race is absolutely my favorite In Flames album, I would love to hear more covers from it.
Holy shit man. Didnt know you would record IF cover. My fav band and shit load of awesome riffs. Great cover and I hope we will see more IF covers in future from you.
Nailed it!

Excellent Cover Zach!! 🤘 Good Ole' InFlames

Right on! Thanks so much for watching!
Yes!!! My favorite in flames songs one of the best melodeath tracks ever.
My dude you really are pumping out some of the highest quality metal content. Pure class.
Bonus that this is one of my fave instrumentals ever and it’s done with your tone!
Thanks so much!
Nice man! Jesters Race is such a killer album! The solo in Jesters Race (song) is one of my all time favourites. Great job!
Thanks so much James!

Thanks so much for checking out the video!
Amazing 😍
great work! really professional style!
Think the tone sounds even better here than the record!
As mentioned earlier. It would be great to see you to do more songs from In Flames 'Jester Race' and 'Whoracle'-era. Maybe the 'Goliaths disarm their davids'-instrumental? What do you think?
Goliaths disarm there David’s is a masterpiece. Need to do that one
Love it! More IF from any era!
Thanks for watching!
Yeah!
bro everytime he switches to the bass its like easy mode xD
Holy F***. That was incredible man! Any chance of sharing DIs/Stems and drums track for mix practicing? Thanks Zach
Мне понравилось. Умение играть на всех гитарах - круто! Cool!
Спасибо за просмотр!
I like the guitar tones here better than the tones/mix of original to be honest
Amazing cover! The tone is spot on.
I would love to see you cover early Metallica with the BE100 Deluxe.
you're the f@ckin mannnnn
Awesome 👍🏼how did you made that awesome clean Tone ? Thx
Great cover Zach. You got any tabs? Especially the clean part maybe. Cheers
Great playing . Where the hell did you get that suspiria shirt from ?
Great cover!
What do you use strings gauge?
Sounds great. What’s the tuning for this masterpiece?
What pickups is in your LPC?
Thanks! This song is in C Standard. Pickups are the stock Gibson 490R/498T set. Thanks so much for watching!
@@ZachWish so it’s the stock pickups & electronics?
@@lo3572 Yes.
Sounds surprising close even though they didn't use a 5150 on that album. What effects did you use for the lead?
Man... nothing. I have tried it, cause I was looking for getting that IF 5150 tone and it is basically non boosted 5150 with eq as shown in the video into a cab with G12-75 speakers. If I am not mistaken, IF have used metal zone going into valvestate on that record.
@@warhead5809 jester race was hm-2 and metal zone into a peavey bandit. When they did switch over to the 5150, they ran the lead channel 5150 into a 4x12 ENGL with V30's
@@robertm9998 I seriously doubt that. I have an HM2 at home and it will never give you these keyboard -esque lead tones. HM2 into Bandit is Entombed tone... MT2 into Valvestate ( or some similar marshall SS amp ) will give you this. Personal experience. I have a small marshall MG10 combo ( most likely has the same preamp as valvestate ) and when I plug the MT2 into it, you instantly have these keyboard -esque sounding leads. And they are even more pronounced with passive gibson style pickups.
You gotta upload that drum backing track w/ bass.. I've been wanting to cover this song too but the drum track I have isn't very good
What string gauge do you typically use for your silver burst? I notice it’s always in drop C or lower in this case.
Yeah, that's the main guitar I use with my band and we typically play in Drop C. So it's 11-56 gauge. I've experimented around a bunch and that's generally been the best for that tuning with 24.75" scale length guitars in my opinion. If the strings are too light, they'll flop around and bend out of tune if you play too hard. If the strings are too heavy/thick, they lose some of the snap & attack. It's 11, 14, 19, 32, 44, 56. I'm an Ernie Ball artist and they don't make a set like that, so I've been accomplishing the same by combining the top 3 of a Power Slinky set (11, 14, 18p) with the bottom 3 of a "Not Even Slinky" set (32, 44, 56). Thanks!
im sorry to ask but i've been trying for an hour to get the right notes. someone know the tabs for the beginning chords? cause i try and try but it make no sense in my guitar, same tunning
Do you change pickup on this silverburst les paul ?
No, they're the stock Gibson 490R/498T set. Thanks for watching!
Cool cover! Where’s the Friedman? Hope it didn’t get purged.
Thanks! Still have the Friedman.
Thank God he's using an angled guitar cable on his Les Paul. If it was straight and squished up against that couch it would have bothered me so much lol
What year is that Silverburst Gibson Les Paul Custom? I wonder why Gibson doesn't offer them anymore in their product line? If I want to buy a new Silverburst Les Paul Custom, and Gibson doesn't offer one at this current time, would they charge me an arm and a leg to build me one, or will they sell it to me, for the regular price that a new Les Paul Custom goes for, which is normally $4700. I would want one with an ebony fretboard. Thanks in advance.
Mine is a 2007. I've had it for about 10 years or so. They've really shot up in value these days. I didn't pay much for mine at the time but glad I got it when I did. Gibson prices have always been pretty ridiculous in my opinion haha. Best of luck!
do Lord Hypnos!
Make a tab vid ♥️
Standard tunning? EADGBE
What gauge strings did you have to use?
I'm using 11-56 in C Standard for this video. Thanks for watching!
@@ZachWish Awesome playing. What pickups are in that Les Paul? I had issues with my Les Paul sounding too bass heavy/boomy tuned down (it had a SD Distortion).
@@M4Y0_ Thanks. They're the stock Gibson 490R/498T pickups.
tuning?
C Standard. Thanks for checking out the video!
Sounds better than the album tone IMO.
Thanks so much for checking out the video!
