i was stuggling with press about a year ago, now its my preferred coverage to go up against.
No doubt! We should love press as a WR. It’s a gift

@@firstdowntraining thx I’m really tryna master that two tap I’m an outside reciever on the left side which means I’ll usually be runnin to the inside to do most of my routes and since I am on a different side that the reciever is ok it’s kinda hard to mirror his images
Excellent breakdown

Yessir no doubt! 🤝
Can you make a video about rbs?
I can do something about their route running. Appreciate the feedback
To me getting square w the db is a underrated step
Yessir no doubt
what is a smart release against outside shade press or off-man if I'm trying to run a fade, out route, corner , or a go
So how far off is he? If you checkout our most recent TH-cam video that’s titled “WR football IQ Quiz” we talk about some outside leverage releases that can help!
Any videos on how to counter these as a DB?
If you go to Instagram and checkout “firstdowndbs” they have a bunch of content there
@@firstdowntraining thanks a bunch man
Hey coach so in general should a receiver always be like on his feet (kinda like soccer players) with the exception of making cuts? What’s you take on that?
If you’re referring to the ball of his foot, yes. I think the first part of the foot to strike the ground is always the ball of the foot. On a cut your heel can be town but weight needs to be shifted slightly forward on the ball of the foot. When we run, obviously we never want my heel to touch the ground
@@firstdowntraining okay okay thanks my guy

The slide release just screams Stefan diggs 👀
100% he did one this past Monday- was clean
@@firstdowntraining his route running reminds me of Jerry rice. Not saying he’s as good as his yet but their route running looks similar
Which foot goes down first?
Both go at the same time!
@@firstdowntraining alright thanks my overall footwork and route running has gotten a lot better sense watching your vids about a year ago
