Thanks for this and the BR on Carson 2 videos. Have never seen before. Nobody like him. What can one say except absolute total mastery of the drum set.
Many thanks for posting the MASTER BUDDY RICH playing like there is tomorrow. Buddy was quoted as saying I take no Prisoners. This is quite obvious here. Also listen to how great Doc and the Tonight Show Big Band plays. Never going to hear a drummer like Buddy Rich again. No one could put a fire and Ignite a Big Band like Buddy Rich. enough said. post more of Buddy if you can???
Just so you know Richard; the chart played in this clip is called Love To. It's a very rare chart and there are no other recordings of it on TH-cam anywhere.

Happy to post.... I recorded it when it first aired on my Sony Betamax!

Dylan Gatenby didn’t know that... thank you
@@richardconnolly1232 just so you know also the title is Luv 2 not Love To.
Just a small correction.
Got it!
If I ever go into cardiac arrest, I want this video played instead of the paddles. Will certainly got my heart restarted.
Playing at his powerful best .
Love beat from the heart.
Boy he played the crap out of that arrangement. Whew!
As posted earlier, if anyone knows the name of the chart played here please post it. I really like this chart alot.
Does anyone know the name of the chart played in this video by the tonight show band and buddy?
Beats me- I posts a lot of Buddy from my Beta tapes-lousy quality from TV before cable! always amazing to see him and Doc
Buddy's Slingerlands sounded better.
No wonder they were his favourite brand.
