Happens this week : I am interested in a guy that we want each other for marriage, I decided to accept so I prayed istikhara. He is so respectful and kind. .. I sent a message asking if we will have a call (I was planning to invite him for a brunch so we talk about our future) He answered me with the most unexpected answer.. he was so angry at me because for him he will call me when he wants .. he said you shouldn’t insist to have our call today.. and he overreacted for no reason ==> this happened for the very first time because usually even when he is stressed he still pay attention to his words. I took that as a sign that I should step back, I feel relieved because I prayed istikhara before calling him. The situation makes me feel disappointed because I wanted him .. but now I no longer do Hamduallah 🙏🏽
We all react to things differently- this is why it's important to get to know somebody- Unfortunately some people that anger issues and because they r NOT deal with , after marraige it gets worse- some people are better single than living with someone who can't manage their stress and is violent. Same happened my engagement cancelled, he overthinks, he list me still, insist me to write gre, no pets, etctec. Finally he canceled marriage 😔. Very painful, even I'm not ready for seperation,

In my humble opinion, some marriages don’t work out even if the istakhara was positive cause of a shift or change in deeds thereby incurring the wrath/anger of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. For example if the guy in the relationship before getting married was consistent in his good deeds and after getting married he did something foolish and committed a sin after which he didn’t repent on.
@Adam Bin Bob you are right I have experienced 3 and half years of tough relationship which changed me completely I become more patient and feel a different sense of strength and calmness... I get that point I am in a process of making a new better version of me and the most important thing which I have learnt that whole reliance on Allah I don't expect anything from my spouse or other relatives but if Allah wills... This is an amazing feeling of detachment 💜
After 3 yrs I got to know why my last job didn’t work for me even though the istikhara was positive. But releasing me from earlier job was made difficult by employer so may be I should have understood this sign and stopped joining new company

I prayed Istikhara in full after Fajr on the day of an interview for a job promotion in June. The morning of my interview, my work had network problems so I had to conduct the disaster interview on a tiny cellphone and I could barely read the questions. I failed the interview and I am still trying to let go. I keep reminding myself that it wasn’t bad luck but in fact, it was Allah’s decree following the Isthikhara. The same kind of thing happened to me with my job. I was hired on a contract basis, and wasn't hired back for the most ridiculous and inane reason. It was really hard to let go at the time, and I was depressed for a while, because it seemed to me to be the ideal job for me, but Allah Knows, and I don't know...

I've grown up without my mother unfortunately she was passed away when im at 1 yr. Now i got engaged alhamdulillah facing some issues with my own self. And please make dua for get success in my wedding life. Ameen
Extremely sorry to hear about your circumstance. Every mother loves her children. Grief is different for everyone. She is still your mother and NOBODY can take that away from you. - feed homeless/ poor person/ any hungry person in her name- will help her tremendously wherever she is. The POWER of sadaqah/ charity is enormous must never be underestimated even buying someone coffee for £2 in somebodies name. It's okay to feel hurt confused and vunerable- we are also humans- so we feel things. Any issue that you have emotionally, spiritually mentally can be cured 100%. Eat heathily, stay away from drugs alcohol too much fizzy drink, so called energy drinks. When u look after YOURSELF will effect your thinking- you will attract Good people into your life. Amazing things happening your way- get READY. You deserve to be at Peace, you deserve to be happy and well.

Subhan Allah I heard this today and it really helped me understand the real meaning of istakhara. There is an answer for everything we need to know in Islam, we just need to search for it. But families make marriages hard even if you choose a saint to marry because they think they are entitled to choose for you. And when they can’t choose for you they get angry and cause obstacles. They even throw judgments on you while you’re married when you go with the person THEY chose
This. My bff got married and they both fell for eachother after first meetings. The istikharas on both sided were positive but when she came to live with him she always cried, day and night. One day i got angry at her and asked the reason behind her behaviour since it was consuming her. And i found out that her family was manipulating her into breaking off her marriage. Her cousins were jealous and they would highlight the negative things, and always talk bad about her husband. This is really common with women.
GDInspirations see what I mean? Families can also tear ppl up out of jealousy when they see ppl who are actually happy! Be sure to support her and stand up for her if you see injustice.
This helped me today thank you mufti i have gone through a divorce recently and am still only a new muslim but this gave me some understanding it thought me exceptance and peace of mind....
I did salaat al istikhara for my current marriage and I did al istikhara for divorce. Both are easy, and I did get closer to Allah SwT thanks to this process. Closer than I ever was. Not only that, I have healed things that I couldn't have healed otherwise spiritually, emotionally and even physically. Subhaanallah. Trust in Allah, let go of the outcome and wordly affairs. The one thing I learned is you don't need anything besides Allah SwT and whatever He has given us of His Bounty and Providence. Allahu Akbar. It is tough to be depressed over loss and it is natural to grieve over the end of a relationship, but if you grew closer to Allah and you feel the sweetness of imaan and that your heart is full of light from the remembrance of Allah SwT there is no greater gift. The Dunya becomes Heaven on Earth in those moments. Don't lose hope in your Lord. He has great things in store for you. If not here then in the akhira. Rabbana atina fi dunya hasanah wa fil akhirati hasana wa qinaa 'adhaba nar. This is mostly a reminder to myself. Edit: I didn't divorce, alhamdulillah. Allah SwT has kept me safe with my family.

@@alizaaksheikh Pray tahajjud, make dua with full tawakul. Read Qur'an with meaning that makes your life completely change. And all your worries to. Automatically things go in direction. And last be good to him. If he's doing wrong, then don't show anger. Handle with patience. In Sha Allah one day he will get back to u and realise. By reading Qur'an with meaning Allah tallah showers his mercy on ur home and no shaitan enter in home. Allah is testing you need to pass.❤️
I don't know why but whenever that part comes that if it is bad for me you've the power to make it right for me and remove all the obstacles/misery or whatever might be in it in this duniya and hereafter because you're the Almighty, the most powerful one...but still grant it to me! Mufti menk was talking about when people come up with the question that why I get devorced when my istekhara was positive. In the dua for istekhara we ask Allah to guide us which is better for our deen dunia and akhirat and not this whether my marriage will last forever. So even if you get a divorce maybe that would lead u to better person better deen and better akhirah. You ask Allah for what is better for u and also mufti menk mentioned that for the istekhara it is not necessary that you dream something as well.

One may do istikhara with positive outcome but that doesn't guarantee an everlasting marriage,divorce most hated thing in the Eyes of Allah but sometimes it is for the best and only Allah Knows,the next sister or sisters or brother or brothers might be the right ones. Extremely sorry to hear about your circumstance. Every mother loves her children. Grief is different for everyone. She is still your mother and NOBODY can take that away from you. - feed homeless/ poor person/ any hungry person in her name- will help her tremendously wherever she is. The POWER of sadaqah/ charity is enormous must never be underestimated even buying someone coffee for £2 in somebodies name.
It's okay to feel hurt confused and vunerable- we are also humans- so we feel things.
Any issue that you have emotionally, spiritually mentally can be cured 100%. Eat heathily, stay away from drugs alcohol too much fizzy drink, so called energy drinks. When u look after YOURSELF will effect your thinking- you will attract Good people into your life.

But families make marriages hard even if you choose a saint to marry because they think they are entitled to choose for you. And when they can’t choose for you they get angry and cause obstacles. They even throw judgments on you while you’re married when you go with the person THEY chose
This. My bff got married and they both fell for eachother after first meetings. The istikharas on both sided were positive but when she came to live with him she always cried, day and night. One day i got angry at her and asked the reason behind her behaviour since it was consuming her. And i found out that her family was manipulating her into breaking off her marriage. Her cousins were jealous and they would highlight the negative things, and always talk bad about her husband. This is really common with women.

This helped me today thank you mufti i have gone through a divorce recently and am still only a new muslim but this gave me some understanding it thought me exceptance and peace of mind....
I did salaat al istikhara for my current marriage and I did al istikhara for divorce. Both are easy, and I did get closer to Allah SwT thanks to this process. Closer than I ever was. Not only that, I have healed things that I couldn't have healed otherwise spiritually, emotionally and even physically. Subhaanallah. Trust in Allah, let go of the outcome and wordly affairs. The one thing I learned is you don't need anything besides Allah SwT and whatever He has given us of His Bounty and Providence. Allahu Akbar.
It is tough to be depressed over loss and it is natural to grieve over the end of a relationship, but if you grew closer to Allah and you feel the sweetness of imaan and that your heart is full of light from the remembrance of Allah SwT there is no greater gift. The Dunya becomes Heaven on Earth in those moments. Don't lose hope in your Lord. He has great things in store for you. If not here then in the akhira. Rabbana atina fi dunya hasanah wa fil akhirati hasana wa qinaa 'adhaba nar.
This is mostly a reminder to myself.
Edit: I didn't divorce, alhamdulillah. Allah SwT has kept me safe with my family.

Mufti menk was talking about when people come up with the question that why I get devorced when my istekhara was positive. In the dua for istekhara we ask Allah to guide us which is better for our deen dunia and akhirat and not this whether my marriage will last forever. So even if you get a divorce maybe that would lead u to better person better deen and better akhirah. You ask Allah for what is better for u and also mufti menk mentioned that for the istekhara it is not necessary that you dream something as well.

Even sitting down for a meal with one friend or with your spouse is a gathering, so memorize this dua and recite when you get up after concluding the gathering.

Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi
Reward:
And he who utters: `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)’ one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الَْأرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Bismillaahil-lathee laa yadhurru ma'as-mihi shay'un fil-'ardhi wa laa fis-samaa'i wa Huwas-Samee 'ul- 'Aleem
Reward: Recite 3 times. Whoever recites it in the morning will not be afflicted by any calamity before evening & whoever recites it in the evening will not be overtaken by any calamity before morning. (Abu Dawud 4/323, At-Tirmizi 5/465, Ibn Majah 2/332, Ahmad)

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَآ إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
Hasbiyallaahu laa 'ilaaha 'illaa Huwa 'alayhi tawakkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul-'Arshil-'Adheem
Reward: Allah will grant whoever recites this 7 times in the morning or evening whatever he desires from this world or the next. (Ibn As-Sunni (no. 71), Abu Dawud 4/321, Ibn As-Sunni. Quran 9:129)

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِر لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Allaahumma Anta Rabbee laa ilaaha illaa Anta, khalaqtanee wa anaa 'abduka, wa anaa 'alaa 'ahdika wa wa'dika mas-tata'tu, a'oothu bika min sharri maa sana'tu, aboo'u laka bini'matika 'alayya, wa aboo'u bithanbee faghfir lee fa'innahu laa yaghfiruth-thunooba 'illaa Anta.
Reward: Whoever recites this with conviction in the evening and dies during that night shall enter Paradise, and whoever recites it with conviction in the morning & dies during that day shall enter Paradise. (Al-Bukhari 7/150, An-Nasa'i, At-Tirmidhi)

Prophet (s.a.w.) said: whoever recties ayatul kursi after every obligatory prayer then nothing stands on his way to paradise except death.

“Astaghfirullah al-’Azeem al-lazi la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum wa atubu ilaih ”
I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Mighty, Whom there is none worthy of worship except Him, The Living, The Eternal, and I repent unto Him
Reward: even if he has committed sins as much as the the foam of an ocean, still he will be forgiven. [Abu Dawud- 2:85/ Tirmidhi 5:569]

One may do istikhara with positive outcome but that doesn't guarantee an everlasting marriage,divorce most hated thing in the Eyes of Allah but sometimes it is for the best and only Allah Knows,the next sister or sisters or brother or brothers might be the right ones. No matter look for the directions Nabi( saw) left to find a righteous spouse..
