I actually understand why he says four voices though. Mainly because Kevin isn't emphasized in the mix of this song. If you hear a live version they did of this song for some show (don't remember what show it was though) where the mic balance was more equal for all of them, you'll notice a huge difference immediately and I actually prefer that version because you really hear Kevin. Secondly, Kevin is so awesome at harmonizing with Mitch and Kirsten at times that you can barely tell there are separate voices! 😅
They once had homophobic protestors on one of their concerts in summer 2019. The thing about this song is that they always perform it off-mic, they just put one mic on the floor, stand around it and sing. That day the protestors were shouting and had a megaphone which made the performance harder but then the entire crowd went silent and they tried to sing as loud as they could, belting the hell out of their voices. This was one of their most powerful performances ever.
WOW! That's a great story! Thank you for sharing. I've been to quite a few PTX concerts but it was the era of "Light in the Hallway" off mic, not "Run to you". I love how they crowd goes from CRAZY sing along to perfect stillness.

I think we all cry listening to this one! Such an emotional song.
Thank you so much for reacting to this song. I am so glad you are true in your reactions I don't think anyone can listen to this and not be emotional. I love that it is just their voices and you can hear each one of them. It really showes each ones vocals. This is my favorite PTX song.
I've watched quite a few of your reactions, but TODAY, I've subscribed. This reaction just hit me different and I appreciate the emotional honesty. It was beautiful. Hi from Ontario, Canada!
100% recommend watching a live version of this!! Its more emotional hearing it live!
Can I just say that the quality/settings of your mic is amazing. With my headphones on, it sounds like you're in the room with me.
Pure emotions
Never apologise for being human and showing emotions😊 it’s one hell of an emotional song and tears are to be expected ❤️
I’m sure you’ve been told to watch all of the pentatonix videos. But one that touches my heart every time is “Waving through a Window”. It’s about social anxiety. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, it’s a great song.
PTX first concert in grmany was in a small old little church...and they sangn this live!! this was an expirience ill never forget
You opened your heart to the Holy Spirit! Amazing!
Awww..... I loved your emotions to this. I just wanted to give you a hug and tell you everything is going to be alright..
Oh mate! You made me cry!. Just when I stopped crying through this bloody lockdown! You do know that PTX are in the UK in June?. (Pandemic permitting!.) I’m seeing them in Manchester. 😊
Never apologize for crying when a song moves you - music is meant to evoke emotion. :) This really is a beautiful piece, and having all 5 voices moving together makes it magic.
I still can't listen to this without crying...
I haven't even watched yet, but I've been waiting for this! So excited to get home from work and see this waiting for me! Those harmonies *swoon*.
Love this song and really loved your emotional reaction
Your emotion really speaks to the song
Hi Bayo as other people have said this is brilliant and heartfelt and as others have said they had to sing some of the lyrics backwards to make believe that the petals are going upwards more genius from these super talented guys XX
This song brought me to tears the first time I heard it, I kept thinking of my parents (deceased). When I listen to it now, I think of someone who has lost their way or passed away and had a hard life. Now they are running to Jesus and that's why the shackles ( our body) were broken. I could be way off on this but beautiful song anyway. Great reaction also. You should always have tissues handy with Pentatonix ❤️
So true 🥲❤️
Emotional reaction for most of us I suspect so completely understand. That's the magic of music. It can transport us to so many feels. This one was written by Avi and Kevin. So beautiful.
Another great reaction ❤️❤️
This is an original, and so beautiful. Each person's voice shines, and sets the mood. Do try SAY SOMETHING, which is simple, powerful and deeply moving. Their passion shows on their faces and in their voices. Thank you so much, sweet Bayo. We appreciate you. :)
Thank you for doing this song. It's my favorite, for the sheer simplicity of it as well as the depth of emotion it provokes, as all good music does.
Ah, you reacted to my favourite song by them on my birthday! Don’t worry, I shed a tear every time I hear it too😉
So glad you watched this one, it always makes me choke up it's so beautiful
More pentatonix reactions please I love you 🥰🥰🥰
