If you want it to be legal (and have no money) you have two choices. Canned stock music or find indie bands that will give you sync rights for free. As the producer, writer, and director I chose the latter. It was '92 and I actually loved the music, but it is subjective. Caught a lot of heat for '91 & '92 videos for "not taking cycling serious" from the guy who sold the most videos back then. Velonews named it the cycling video of the year and he was pissed. As a racer, I take the sport very seriously, but I just wanted to do something different. Bring a ski video vibe to cycling (I was big Blizzard of Ahhhs fan). Glad u liked the race coverage, that's what I'm most proud of even today.
