I had to have a c section full term due to this. I had no bleeding. We had no idea why the midwives couldn't flip the baby's position from breech position. Doctor did ultrasound and we had the c section. Was 42 years old, had 6 living children at that point, had lost twins mid pregnancy 5 years before. Again no signs of bleeding. This was in 1995 so we didn't do a lot of ultrasounds.
18 weeks found out that I have this I am so freaked out. My dr acted like it was nothing but 2-3/1000!? I’m 29 but I was a pot smoker so this may be my cause. I’m resting as much as possible but definitely not taking this well 😢 I want to have a natural or at least vaginal birth. Scared to say the least😭
Hey girl…….pot smoking didn’t cause this. It TRULY happens when your baby implanted LATE and barely made it to stick on for the 9 months to get here. Nothing you did caused this. Nothing can help nor prevent it. Ignore the smoking part that didn’t cause THIS. ❤️🤞🏽Hoping all is well
@@AllAmericanBabelol the risk factors in this video are real!!!! Y watch if you believe strangers w no sense?! Hope your C-section goes well if the placenta doesn’t move.
I hate when they say,its causing by mother age...cmon,how they know??why all the time, its about the age?I had pregnancy 37 years old,and it was perfectly fine, healthy pregnancy, plus i over due...so?With large fibroids!!
I think its a result of epidemiological studies. If you’re a part of a group of 10 women above the age of 37 with pregnancy. If 2/3 out of 10 experience placenta previa then you can say there’s an association. Maybe not a high association but it’s definitely there and that is if those women aren’t predisposed to any other “risk factors”.
I like how you explain why we every risk factor is risky
I was also told yesterday that i have low placenta im currently worried thank you so much for your explanation Dr
Now this is what I wanted ❤well explained points

Whether the man smokes or the mother smokes during pregnancy is the cause for this?
Can you explain velamentuous insertion? I had it and dont understand it.
another risk factor myomectomy; and the presence of fibromes
