Save your old one and match up the seals and rebuild it using seals from Hercules Sealing Products. I used to do hydraulic and pneumatic repair. That thing will last you forever with really good seals. If I buy a cheap jack from Walmart before I even use it I will take it apart and put good seals in it.
That’s a good idea. When I first went into the dealership, I asked for a rebuild kit and they said they don’t make them. I knew that wasn’t true but I was stuck and had to get on the road so I paid my money but I will look up that Hercules, order a kit and use it for a spare.
@@davida.simpson7011 they may not have a specific kit for it and if they do it would cost much more than just matching up the seals. I bet you could rebuild that thing for less than $30 by matching up the seals. Get a set of decent digital calipers if you dont have one and just measure it all. They will have ones that fit. As for whether you want 70 or 90 durometer I am not real sure. I would go with 90 and if they cause an issue go with the softer 70 durometer.
Solid facts man went cheap for the Honda Civic water pump and it lasted 6-7ish months and I had to get a legitimate one.
