I'd say the reason they ommitted Cream was because they didn't want a child driving a car, but Tails is apparently 8. Also, I'm surprised Amazon Luna is still a thing when Google Stadia crashed and burned so spectacularly.

So, on Zavok... I get the feeling Zavok is a victim of consequence. In this and Mario and Sonic, Zavok feels like he sticks around because Sonic just doesn't really have any other BRUISERS in his Rogue's Gallery. Bark and Storm are shackled to their teams, Zavok sticks out as the only brawny villain to pull from. In this game in particular you could easily argue slotting Eggman over to Power-Type instead (As he has been in the past) and swapping the Tech for say, Infinite, perhaps Starline, or go full deep cut and bring back the Tails Doll, but in general I can see the reasoning behind him sticking around for so long.
I feel like TSR is the Strikers Battle League of the Sonic series. A sequel to a popular spin-off, that disappoints in a lot of aspects. Limited roster, little content, but pretty good mechanics and great visuals. Both are kinda just *there* in their respective series’ catalogues though

I think what also hurt this game so bad is the fact that Sega for whatever reason decided to release this in the same quarter as Nitro-Fueled, and there clearly would be more buzz surrounding Crash, not to mention the titles sounded way too similar to each other. I just hope people are still playing it online, I had this on my Playstation and I want to give it a shot after so many years

I feel the game gets seriously under rated. I'll pick it any day over Mario Kart 8. The game is actually fun and it's rare to just get randomly screwed over by items which you are completely defenseless against at the end of the third lap, probably over a pit. You can play this game for hours and suddenly remember, oh ya there is a lightning bolt in the game, rather than a middle finger from Nintendo punishing you for racing well throwing you back from 1st to 8th.
I’d still take TSR over Battle League any day though. And what’s funny is they’re both the third games in their respective series.

I feel like they should have kept the trasform gimmick. It made the game keep you on your toes while going through the higher difficultys.

I got jumpscared by the ending, YOU USED MY FAVORITE TRACK FROM CARS 2 THE VIDEOGAME, the exact track that I was obsessed with as a kid, the track that got me to buy a guitar. Man I didn't expect to leave a comment or to be this shook but oh my God this was incredible. THANK YOU FOR USING THAT SONG IT'S REALLY COOL and the video was really awesome as well

This is an unpopular opinion, but I like Team Sonic Racing way more than the first Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. Transformed is still my favorite. I still like the kart racing trilogy as a whole though.
Don't worry, I have the exact same opinion as you. Grew up with the original, then played Transformed years later and this one when it came out. Transformed is still my favorite but Team Sonic Racing is a close second; the team mechanics and creative tracks with one of the best osts in the series really carries the game a lot. A shame Sega didn't agree and stopped supporting the game after 1 month.
@Robotta They need to do a remake of Transformed. They just need to give it the Mario Kart 8 Booster Course treatment. I want Rouge to be playable. It was always weird to me that she wasn't playable in the first two games. It's also weird to me how in the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series, they had Blaze as a playable character instead of her. Blaze is a cool character, but I would argue that Rouge is more relevant than her lol. I think they probably did that because they had Silver in the games.

I hate how they have "low tolerance" from mechanics and ideas from games that underperformed but kept damn Zavok from failed titles after failed titles.
Zavok and everything that came with sonic colors, lost world and forces aren't welcomed.
Yes, colors was acclaimed and all but because it was washed up day stages with no werehog in sight and that's all it took for people to rejoice. No one likes the wisps being shoveled into crap. They feel forced. They don't fit. Same for Zavok, Infinite aaaaaand bringing classic sonic again but that is already a cold take by now.

The Adventure mode isn't so much for the story/ cutscenes, as much as it is giving you a list of a challenges that give you something to work to complete. I like it when games give you that kind of stuff, like Soul Caliber 2 was good because it gave you an adventure mode with tons of random challenges, sure without the mode, it'd still be a decent fighting game, but that'd make it boring after a few runs of arcade mode with no incentive to keep playing it. Without the Adventure mode here, you could play through the list of GPs and then have no reason to keep playing.
Xpool, if u could remake Team Sonic Racing in YOUR own way, how would u make it, who would u add, what would u add and what devices would u allow the game to be played on???

Why did people only want Sonic characters? That just makes it less interesting and unique, having other Sega characters would give the game more unique tracks and Ost's like from Yakuza, Persona, Phantasy Star, etc.

Xbox one X is 4K 60fps I took all achievements. PS4 Pro was at like 1500p something i took a nice amount of trophies.
They totally ruined the online by having a broken matchmaking system that took them a month to fix and the inability to cancel out of searches.

I really liked this game, but, I will say the roster could have been better. Like they have the Chao, but they should have just had 3 Chao as it's own team (Hero Speed, Normal Perfect as Tech, and a the Dark one could be the power character), and then Team Rose can have Cream back, not that I care too much about her being there or not, just for the sake of Sonic Heroes call back. The Babylon Rogues were already a team of 3.. that raced, easy include. I don't like Xavok but sure give his own team and put Infinite or whoever with Eggman and Metal Sonic, and Chaotix should have had a full team, instead of randomly putting Vector with Blaze and Silver.

From the uneeded Sonic Colors Ultimate (Most underrated Sonic rerelease!) censoring and hate, overpraising the two Sega racing games and stereotypical Sonic fan always complaining BS and being negative, "Don't buy Switch version if owned multiple consoles" excuse as if everyone had a solid hour playing at home (Which they don't always, so Switch is better because portability meaning more opportunities to game if low on time) I've wasted my time and am massively disappointed in you! Don't even get me started. Video games don't kill you and you forced yourself into this. Sega did not grab a gun and point it towards your head forcing you to do this, *YOU DID!*

Need I say. Team Sonic Racing on the Nintendo Switch has a very noticeable graphical difference... Okay its only largely noticed in one stage. Sky Road... On the Xbox, PS, PC, basically anything BUT Nintendo's money printer, the road in Sky Road is a clear glass road. On the Switch, it is completely opaque. It's HIDEOUS! Still TSR doe, I had a good time before beating the game and trading it in for Smash Ultimate lmao-
I 100%ed the game on Switch, and had blast doing it. It was still a fantastic looking game. Been replaying it on PC and ya, 60 FPS makes it way easier, and it looks better with more details and higher res, but come on it ain't hideous on the switch.

After they announced that this game would be ground racing only with team mechanics I was like "hell yeah, two of my favorite parts of Sonic Racing Transformed, this game is going to be great!". But for some reason the "racing" part is worse than Sonic Racing Transformed, and the "team" part is... Well, it's better but just because the only "team" mechanic in Transformed was passing items to the other player via item swap (there are 2 slots in coop race), but those team mechanics aren't amazing by any means.
Ultimate move is cheap as hell and rings are just an amazing way to spice up the gameplay with something annnoying.
Seriously, I have no idea how they managed to fuck this up after Transformed
