This is amazing information. Thank you Stefi Cohen! I'm going to incorporate these drills into my routine and, hopefully, get rid of my hip flexor discomfort.
What if you don't have the mobility to get into the first movement and the hip is far off the ground how do you.improve? Keep trying to get into the position or is there specific stretches/exercises to improve?
I'm no PT but I'd try hip swivels; dynamically moving towards the 90-90 position, pushing just a *tiny* bit further with each swivel. That's how I got my butt on the ground.
This is a great vid, short and to the point. Thanks for having Stefi on. I dont follow her social media, but if she posts anything like this I'll check her out.
Great tips... will need time to get a perfect grip on these; but, in terms of getting deeper, and more fluid with the squats, I am happy to incorporate these pieces into my routine. - Thanks for posting this.
I'd like to see Stefi do an instructional video on the best method for picking a child up by the feet, swinging them around using the Olympic hammer throw technique, and flinging them out of a window for maximum range. The all time record for the hammer throw is just over 86 metres and due to aerodynamic limitations I would suggest you couldn't achieve that kind of distance with a pre-schooler however surely a decent 50 metres or so is realistic and having that couple of minutes or so of peace and quiet before the annoying little turd makes it back home would make it oh so worthwhile! I'm not sure what it is about Stefi Cohen but I trust her, and she is the only person I would accept advice from on such important issues as how to throw your children through an open window without causing damage to your home or garden. She's just that kind of a person!!
Antonio Menga that’s what I am experiencing as well! I thought maybe doing it everyday will improve it but I’m starting to think it might be physically impossible for me. I’ll keep trying though
It means you lack hip internal rotation I struggle with it so my back hip is a few inches off the ground your TFL and glute medius are tight foam roll them every other day
“If you don’t have the balance to do that, then you should be worried” What does that mean? Cancer? We’re gonna drop you off at the knickers? Great setup move for 90 90.
I tried out the 3 exercises. Number 1, both sides I couldn't keep both hip bones on the floor. Number 2 exercise was not too bad, both sides even. And number 3, was ok, little off balance. So should I be doing the stretch of exercise one every day to increase that?
Jesus!! I can't get my butt on the floor, on the side that is facing backwards, and not sure why? 😫 She says if you can't do that, that's something else you can work on, but doesn't say how to fix it 🤐. No help at all here. So, imma pray bout it 👑. O HALLELUJAH!!!
No! That glute will not be on the ground. If you find that you are unable to stay upright or have discomfort, you may have tight internal rotation on that hip.
.... Hip snapping is what bothers you to move. If you hear hip snapping, you can't not focus on performance even though It isn't painful. It slows down your progress and makes your normal life difficult. To increase life quality and see your workout result, you should get rid of popping on your hip. There are three types of hip snapping which are internal, external, and intro articular. External hip snapping is caused by iliotibial bend hitting your bony area. Intra-articular type happens due to labral tear and loose body. If you had those, you would need to see a doctor. And. Internal type is created by iliopsoas bend snapping and It is fixable by training. Your poor posture can be a root cause of hip snapping. It is almost same as shoulder joints. If you shrug and press, there should be popping and pain on your shoulders. Poor posture makes your coordination worse and It creates a lot of problems such as joint problems. To prevent hip snapping, practicing hip flexor should be essential. There are some hip flexor movements such as hip thurster, air squat etc. If you train mobility consistently for many time, your posture should become better. Stretching quad and extending hip must be beneficial to prevent iliotibial band syndrome. If the TFL were tight and glute medias were weak, the TFL should be pulled out and you must have knee pain by It bend syndrome. And your tight quad may decrease efficiency of your workout. If you don't know how to treat your hip snapping problem, hiring a trustworthy export should be needed. Because, just because he is a doctor doesn't mean he must not be a liar.
Her man is the luckiest person in the world, but seriously a chiropractor took pictures from the side of me and my whole body is leaning forward just like michael jackson no joke 😂🤦🏼♂️ also when i sumo deadlift i can feel most of my strength from only one leg 😫
Burt’s Mustachio started every since i worked delivering beer barrels to pubs, never had a single problem before that, i started again after 4 months of, i got recked real good 😂🤦🏼♂️🏋🏻♀️
I think it was made a bit awkward for him that she’s supposed to use him as the model but then just did everything herself. It looked like they did not rehearse or give him any idea of what would happen at all.
Stefi knows her shit but also has the ability to explain it to others very well.
Thanks for the upload. Great series.
Yes she knows her shit that's why she's showing us how to sit on the toilet painfree for long time
really helpful series.
please make more
No
Stefi is such a knowledgeable lady. I am so impressed, and as a fairly accomplished bodybuilder, never fail to learn something from her. Hats off.
This is amazing information. Thank you Stefi Cohen! I'm going to incorporate these drills into my routine and, hopefully, get rid of my hip flexor discomfort.
More videos with stefi cohen please. Very informative
Nice series, so helpful. This girl is the queen of squats. Beautiful
Ángel grande you mean deadlift right? Lol
Do this series for shoulders
Hip mobility for shoulders?
I'm only watching this so i can sit on the toilet pain free
Value added benefit to not use handicap rails to get up from the toilet
Wow, did not know these exercises were good for hemorrhoids too.
She's terrible at explaining things.
What if you don't have the mobility to get into the first movement and the hip is far off the ground how do you.improve? Keep trying to get into the position or is there specific stretches/exercises to improve?
TrickyMicky123456 i am very far from getting my ass in the ground. Impossible
I'm no PT but I'd try hip swivels; dynamically moving towards the 90-90 position, pushing just a *tiny* bit further with each swivel. That's how I got my butt on the ground.
You are amazing Stefi.

Excellent job explaining everything! This will not only make you a great trainer/you tuber but also a great PT!
This is solid AF advice
Awesome video! Great free information!
"If you don't have the balance to do this, you should be worried"..... Shit!
No shit!
At least we know, now!
That's what I said lol. . My balance sucks 😂
No offence to the assistants but itd nice to see a big lump who has mobility issues and to see how they progress and improve over a few episodes
I agree, people with top mobility don't really motivate to do these movements, it just makes me feel like im 90yr old
anonymous how so
He's also pretty big for an Asian
You're a lump
@anonymous tell that to a sumo wrestler..you just assume all Asians are skinny or something 😂
Stefi Cohen - queen of squats
This was very helpful
Stefi is the best.

Her hips don't lie
Awesome video
She’s beautiful! Good info too!!
Thank you ma'am.
This is great, thank you guys
This video was awesome 😁
Oh wow, how can people keep both hips on the floor on that first movement? My back hip was a good 2 inches off the floor on both sides!
Antonio Menga that’s what I am experiencing as well! I thought maybe doing it everyday will improve it but I’m starting to think it might be physically impossible for me. I’ll keep trying though
Lol mine was like 4 inches off the ground
eh me too
It means you lack hip internal rotation I struggle with it so my back hip is a few inches off the ground your TFL and glute medius are tight foam roll them every other day

I really like your stile. YOU REALLY DO YOUR HOMEWORK learning the science of fitness
...thank you for posting this
I've been doing that for a long time. It's a modified janushriansa move from yoga.
"Put that ball between your hip, okay?" OKAY!
Jesus!! I can't get my butt on the floor, on the side that is facing backwards, and not sure why? 😫 She says if you can't do that, that's something else you can work on, but doesn't say how to fix it 🤐. No help at all here. So, imma pray bout it 👑. O HALLELUJAH!!!

Omg I love this woman😍
This was before she started her channel (thank you Tom and Juji and fellow fans)
This is an awesome video. This guy seems like he hated every second of it though
Yes because he's been exposed
That's his Asian face, they look pissed all the time
F Villaro stfu
Stefi is my fav 😆
On the 90/90 Are both glutes supposed to be on the floor? Cause I find it absolutely impossible to do that with the leg in the back
No! That glute will not be on the ground. If you find that you are unable to stay upright or have discomfort, you may have tight internal rotation on that hip.
what does it mean if i cant balance in the Bulgarian split squat ?
Could be a multitude of things from ankle stability, hip stability, vestibular- or even simply foot positioning!
....

If you look reaaalyyy closely at Stefis way of talking (moving her lips, her teeth) you`ll see that she and Larry Wheels have a similar gestures
Vizard465 imagine Larry and Stefi had a child!
@@NeuroLifting stefi would be paralyzed 😂
Cohen......co......Coan.... she is the new Ed Coan!!!!! Very helpful video btw!
So i dont have balance in the bulgarian split sq and i should be worried, why?
What do you mean you have no balance? One leg is easier than the other?
@@IHeArTrOcK20 i tend to fall to a side, like shaking to maintain balance
I wanna grow my hair out like hers. My goal is definitely to squat a million pounds
I used to think Stefi said there was no limits, so I was disappointed when she said her goal was to only to squat a million pounds
oh yay. Lessons on helping hit depth from ol' High Squat Cohen.
Her man is the luckiest person in the world, but seriously a chiropractor took pictures from the side of me and my whole body is leaning forward just like michael jackson no joke 😂🤦🏼♂️ also when i sumo deadlift i can feel most of my strength from only one leg 😫
Harry Nelson lol that made me laugh so hard
Sounds like a terminal illness dude. Might as well just give up.
Burt’s Mustachio started every since i worked delivering beer barrels to pubs, never had a single problem before that, i started again after 4 months of, i got recked real good 😂🤦🏼♂️🏋🏻♀️
So does everyone realize they have bad hip mobility and also find her very attractive?
pretty much summed up the entire video
Big guy be like "Yeah Ill help in your vid". Get giant lump in his throat when she asks him to balance on one leg...
She's the one boys !! Marry her quickly ;)
I think she’s already taken
Marry her quickly because she powerlifts? Marry a woman because of her righteousness not because of how many plates she can squat.
She’s like a female Larry wheels
Hm, well you could have skipped the reasoning and said Do it. :P would be good nuf for me. 😁
I didn't hear a word she said..
Someone def pissed in this dude's protein shake
What if men wore tight fitting pants and women loose shorts...IG girls die?
I want her to carry me
Damn she's pretty
Stefi the ringing is killing my ears
He's like, why am I even here, why am I doing with my life
The yoga pigeon pose would do all of this with one movement
If you dont have the balance then you should be worried..... well he should be worried lol
Who forced my asian brother to be in video 😬
More like Stiffy Cohen
When she did those hip thrusts it was throbbing
i wish i was that piece of floor mat sitting under Stefi.
sheet id be all smiles doing this with steph but this guy just doesnt want to be there
I think it was made a bit awkward for him that she’s supposed to use him as the model but then just did everything herself.
It looked like they did not rehearse or give him any idea of what would happen at all.
Awful trainer dosent looks as though she even works out
She's looking awfully moon faced....
