I think Bob would of loved seeing this. You, Jenna, taking the time to follow along to one of his videos. I think he would of loved the end result of your painting regardless if it looked like his. Bob is all about doing it your way, so there is no wrong way to paint one of his paintings because in the end it's your world, those are your happy little trees and clouds and you did a fine job at creating them.
I understood something about Bob Ross, recently : He got 20 years of academic painting behind him when he started his show. So, he never tell us to do as good as he does. Instead, he kept telling us to paint the world we see in our heart (and not to copy him) and to keep trying, again and again. The first painting we all do, following his instructions, is always over-deceiving. But yet, when we felt something doing it, and learning from it, we do better and better as we keep painting. That is the true magic of Bob Ross : he made us feel better by ourself with our work, only under his advices, not his directives! And I can feel your emotions when you paint! That's truly beautifull! We should not care of the quality of the painting itself, but in the intensity of our feelings doing it!

I used to work with an art therapist, and the first time she brought out water colors, she had me use them with my eyes closed, and just focus on how it felt to put the paint on the paper. It instantly transported me back to being a kid, and helped me focus on some really hard emotions I had been avoiding. That's not how I did all my art, but it's something I remember and will imitate when I start getting too caught up on how the finished art looks. That doesn't have to be the point.
I actually love that her channel is becoming videos of things that she just wants to do. Like not that she was ever not having fun, think we all know that was never the case. That came out so well Jenna! Especially with the cheap pack brushes. The best thing about art is that it's not about the quality it's about doing the art. Sure it isn't exactly like bobs but you know what. You did the thing. You created it with your hands. Even though I have to remind myself to do this it's to not judge your work harshly if your doing it for fun. I am sure you got some great art tips from your other comments and I will be stealing some myself lmao. I'd watch more of you painting if you did them.

ACTUAL OIL PAINT KNOWLEDGE AS TO WHY IT DIDN’T BLEND: Jenna used a brush with synthetic hair, which is why it was so difficult to blend. When oil painting, the brushes you use can make or break your piece. Bob’s using a brush with natural hair, which is stiffer, more course, and doesn’t clump together. Also, he’s barely touching the paint when he loads his brush. Mixing paints with a palette knife rather than a brush helps. 😇❤️ THIS WAS A COLLAB I’VE ALWAYS DREAMED OF, BLESS YOU JENNA

ACTUAL OIL PAINT KNOWLEDGE AS TO WHY IT DIDN’T BLEND:
Jenna used a brush with synthetic hair, which is why it was so difficult to blend. When oil painting, the brushes you use can make or break your piece. Bob’s using a brush with natural hair, which is stiffer, more course, and doesn’t clump together.
Also, he’s barely touching the paint when he loads his brush.
Mixing paints with a palette knife rather than a brush helps.
