I'm a Chelsea fan since 1995 back in the days of Gullit and then Zola in late 96. Thierry Henry is the greatest ever Premier League player who should have won AT LEAST 2 Ballon d'Or awards. He not only scored plenty of goals, he assisted plenty very unselfishly. He constantly scored goal of the season contenders. He scored the kind of goals that made you love football and the reason you watched football. Nobody scored the kind of goals Henry did. If there was a goal to sum up Henry, it's the goal at the very beginning of the video. You're playing a great Man Utd team. You have Dennis Irwin on your back, one of the greatest ever Premier League defenders. What would anyone do? Even great players would probably just shield the ball and lay on a pass to someone else. Some tricky players may try a flick to go past the marker. But who on earth would take just 2 touches, with his back to goal on an angle, and have the ball end up in the top corner all within a second? Just Thierry Henry. That's how good he was.

I started to watch Premier League in 2004, coincidentally Arsenal at their best. Henry was certainly one of the things that got me hooked on to watch the League. He gave me so much joy in wanting to watch the football
The rival between Henry and Ronaldinho was different to modern rivalries in that they both respected and admired each other, although they both won the world cups and champions leagues and scored many goals and assists, the special thing with them is how they made watching football such a pleasure. They were showmen that aimed to please the masses with their flair and attacking brilliance.
I'll save you all time: I watched him play for years. I was a Man Utd fan. He made me want to be an Arsenal fan. And I hated when we had to play him. He was an EPL legend, and rightfully so. He was also an excellent International player. Yes, he was as good as people say.
I was actually never really interested in Football (i even hated it) until my twelfth year of life when.... 2006 the World Cup was hosted in Germany and I saw how Henry was playing for France and I was interested for which club he plays for and began to watch on TH-cam his way of playing football and was flabbergasted by his unique talent. Ever since then Henry made me fall in Love with Arsenal. Thierry Henry is undoubtedly the greatest Player Arsenal has ever graced. His contribution to this club due to his speed, technique, dribbling skills, his intelligent style of playing football and ice cold goalscoring instinct but still keeping such a cool composure in front of the goal and of course his Leadership made him deserved an unforgettable Club Legend. He was just as a Player: One of a kind. Who else loves this Guy ? ❤️ #TheKingofHighbury #ThierryHenry
Short answer. Yes. 100%. Probably the most dynamic striker and could score from many places on the pitch. He was super elusive. I always loved when he would take on 3-4 defenders, cut through them like butter, then execute his trademark finish, low to the far post and run for the corner flag. People thought he was cocky but he was just insanely confident in his ability.
Finally This type of videos are back, hope to see more of this videos on Rijkard, Romario, Van Basten, zico, nedved, michael owen, Rummenigge, del peiro etc , please oh my goal continue this series and make sure to make videos on above players
@@nofurtherwest3474 Maybe a Top 20. Pelé, Puskás, Müller, Ronaldo Nazario, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Romario, Zico, Josef Bican or Eusebio were one step forward, in my opinion. This man is the definition of a winner that arsenal era will never be repeated of the invincibles and he coming to Barcelona was even more of a success
Henry had it all. Forget the absolutely crazy goal and assist statistics that he had, which are pretty unbelievable. He could run past people with his strength and power, he had flair and skill, he would score goals from outside the box with ease and then score tap ins inside the box like a lethal poacher. He had amazing passing ability, some if his through balls to his team mates were like he had radar. He was unpredictable, electric and a pleasure to watch play. You got the feeling he could do anything he wanted with the ball. Imagine some of the goals Henry and Bergkamp scored in training that none of us will ever get to see. I don't even like Arsenal, but I watched their games while Henry was playing just because I wanted to see what he'd do. Definitely the best player in Premier League history IMO.
Henry was probably the undisputed best player in the Premier league for about 4 years. Other people could be absolutely brilliant but he was above them all easily. Thought he deserved the Balón dor in 04.
Henry wasn’t just as good as people said, he was much better than people thought he was. There are only few play layers who have impact on the game of football even many years after they stopped playing. Henry is one them.
A lot of people don't realise that henry wasn't just a scorer, he was brilliant creator of goals as well. Yes he had just around 74 PL assists but then he played just 8 years in the league. No player has averaged so many goals and assists per game as him.
I was a Newcastle United supporter during Henry time l changed to Support Arsenal, Henry made soccer look so easy, his goals was wonderful, from Mesh in South Africa
Short answer: Yes. Long answer: He was the player that I admired in my teens. He played football with so ease and with an arrogance. He seemed to glide along and finished with such panache!
As a Gooner I can say with absolutely no bias that Thierry was a super striker not only for us but whole of the league. He was dependable on producing goals all the time.

Artists, the pitch was their canvas.
#TheKingofHighbury #ThierryHenry
He's the greatest ever. Had it all. No ones set the league a light year on year like he did. The best premier league player ever.
"Was Thierry Henry really as good as people said he was?" - opens video with his classic shot
Where does he rank in all time forwards? Top 10?
@@nofurtherwest3474 Top 3 all time strikers top 5 all time forwards
@@nofurtherwest3474 Maybe a Top 20. Pelé, Puskás, Müller, Ronaldo Nazario, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Romario, Zico, Josef Bican or Eusebio were one step forward, in my opinion. Henry is in the next level, among Luis Suárez, David Villa, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Didier Droghba, Shevchenko, Batistuta, Etoo... Incredible legends, all of them.
@@hamgil Wow that is amazingly high
@@pedrohernandomenchaca9277 You know your players. I need to lookup Bican and Eusebio
You cannot get better than a prime Henry he was a alien he’s the greatest player to have played in premier league
How dare you asking a question like that😂😂😂
Oh Goal is being controversial as per

Henry was technical and smart, he was always thinking. He was so easy on the eye to watch, The best PL player.
My favorite strikers of all time: Henry, Drogba, Ronaldo (🇧🇷)
his playing was elegant and fancy for the time but his style and the way he delivered things was yet so humble.
Thierry Henry>Suarez, Aguero and Lewandowski
Thierry Henry> Ronaldinho
Agreed
Ronaldinho was just different tbh Ronaldinho was Cam/lw and Henry was Cf but imo both were great , I think Ronaldinho had a better career
We all know Jay Jay Okocha is the orignal Ronaldinho
@@Sirius1914 I agree Jay Jay okocha is underrated and Ronaldinho is the Brazilian Jay Jay okocha
Henry was probably the undisputed best player in the Premier league for about 4 years. Other people could be absolutely brilliant but he was above them all easily. Thought he deserved the Balón dor in 04.
Premier League ICON King Henry 🐐
Henry wasn’t just as good as people said, he was much better than people thought he was. There are only few play layers who have impact on the game of football even many years after they stopped playing. Henry is one them.
Im a culer and I know how great he is. Messi, eto, henry❤🔥
@Nick Astley Brother of Rick astley❤
You got him at the wrong time.
He was a genius. The BEST player ive seen in the premier league and yeah that included ronaldo
Should've never of left Us... sat on the bench at barca cleaning eto's boots

I grew up playing soccer in the U.S. I fell in love with the game while watching Henry play on tv
This was so emotional 😢. King Henry 🤴🏾⚽️🥇🏆
Put it this way we've never replaced him... but yes he was that good honestly unbelievable to watch.
Thierry Henry was so good that he tricked a whole generation of people into being Arsenal fans😂

Bruh 😂
This comment is actually FACTS
Probably his greatest achievement
Ksi is crying rn
The most versatile football.king Henry
A lot of people don't realise that henry wasn't just a scorer, he was brilliant creator of goals as well. Yes he had just around 74 PL assists but then he played just 8 years in the league. No player has averaged so many goals and assists per game as him.
Henry and okocha were so underrated, creating magical touches and adding something new to the round leather game.
Henry is a genius
I was a Newcastle United supporter during Henry time l changed to Support Arsenal, Henry made soccer look so easy, his goals was wonderful, from Mesh in South Africa
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: He was the player that I admired in my teens. He played football with so ease and with an arrogance. He seemed to glide along and finished with such panache!
As a Gooner I can say with absolutely no bias that Thierry was a super striker not only for us but whole of the league. He was dependable on producing goals all the time.
The only one who was a litle close to R9! This man was a great player!
I can't see this video anymore. The more I see the more I miss the old days.
Seeing Arsenal today breaks my heart.
I can bet the entire Arsenal team of 2020-21 can not reach collectively the level of this invincible, The Legend Thierry Henry.
Of course we won't be able to recreate the 03/04 invincible with this team you doughnut
@@Sirius1914 lol you must go to school first. You literally don't know how to read.
I never said anything about recreating invincibles season. I would suggest you go to a friend or a family member who knows English and make them read my comment. They will explain you for sure. My sympathy for you 🙏
Great video.
Please do more such videos (for other legends of course).
Love from India
As a United fan, I always feared this guy. The most prolific one, premiere league has ever seen. One of the greatest for sure !
Admit it or not, he was the eternal king ever to graced this game!!
Best player the PL as ever seen....Till diss Day!

@@migueljaques3897 yea it’s really sad, back in 2006 it would’ve been a tough battle but now arsenal are like a minnow club at this point, the London derby doesn’t feel like anything
@Sreekuonthego lowkey maybe, plus he did score 2 goals in the final so him not being there would change the landscape of the score
Legendary King Henry my childhood memories come flooding back...
Henry got me into football. Messi made me stay. That's how awesome he is.
There is the man who made me love Arsenal, love the Premier League and love football
The genius of wenger - sell anelka for 20m and buy henry for 10 and a new training ground for 10.
He’d made a Man Utd die heart fan a fanboy of his, nuff said
