You are pretty much the only youtube perfume reviewer that has something more to say than just enumerating few notes, naming few similarities and commenting the look of a bottle. Pleasure to listen from the first to the very last minute. By the way, great combination of the orange cardigan and the white-blue tie, I will borrow that idea ;)
Holy God I bought this on the basis of your most eloquent review. This fragrance is as old as my wife and no less complex. It is strong, a symphony of contrast and harmony. The dry down is one of the greatest copsitions of any genre ever made. Cheers for the tip. I think you need balls to wear it but nonetheless a masterpiece, thanks Chris 😊
Now, this is one of the best '80s powerhouses. Good projection, very long lasting and also cheap. What more can a man ask for? More videos, and more women, of course!!! Good job, Chris!
I really enjoy Lapidus Pour Homme but only would wear it at home because I was worried other people might be put off by it....Well I put a couple sprays on and waited an hour then went out to dinner and man oh man 4 total compliments in two different locations - really nice with a cool breeze outside or walking into a resturant....A head turner but not overpowering if you wait an hour before going out... I got 10 hours longjevity - more if I spay my shirt. WOW - time to get a couple back ups just in case. Really Love All Your Reviews Chris - I learn a lot more than just how a fragrance smells. Thanks Man
To me, this fragrance is timeless. I get a strong incense smell from it, like nag champa, but mixed with bright florals. It does have an older/more vintage feel but you’re not going to like it- you’re either going to hate it or you’re going to love it. I work from home so I don’t dirty my clothes as often, so to keep track of the clothes I wear and how long it’s been since I washed that shirt, I spray fragrances every day and alternate them as much as possible so I can track when I last wore it. Let that speak to the power. Every time I smell lapidus pour Homme on a shirt I wore days ago, it still amazes me how strong and good this still smells. I do feel that it’s linear, but in the best way because it takes you on a journey. Like a 1970s prog rock band, as our good friend Scent Land mentions
Of the so many reviews I've seen for this particular fragrance, which happens to be my personal favorite, this review is by far the best! touche to you, Sir.
Got this “masterpiece” and every time I spray it put’s me in the mood to listen german bravo hits from the 80’s, 99 luftballons and sternenhimmel...to me its very german! Smells like locker room of german davis cup team from the 80’s....anyhow great review!!!
this fragrance will have people in the next town smelling you lol .. I totally agree it is a very strong complex scent... it smells like nothing else... I have had the bottle for at least 3 years and I never used it.. I have been locked inside and not wanting you use my other fragrances and I was like to hell with it let me use it... and you know what... Chris is totally right... it is France in the 80s, it is a very unique beautiful scent... It will grow on you if you open your mind and try using it for 2 weeks and now I find myself missing it if I'm not wearing it... I want to smell it... It grew on me... I will get another bottle... peace
Chris that was excellent. Love the passion dude and pleased you like that masterful scent. And damn yes, it's art. And sure Invictus might be art, except Lapidus Pour Homme is hung in the Louvre, Invictus is scrawled on a bog wall... Best to you
I bought a bottle of this within the last year and I feel like the performance has dimished immensely. Every TH-cam review mentions the excellent performance but the new one isn't lasting so long. Still smells great. Ted Lapidus Pour Lui and Rumba are also excellent.
A natural beauty that has lasted 33 years in the market. Your review is the best I've actually seen for this. You describe it beautifully. It's a diamond in a pile of shit basically, among fragrances of today (not all fragrances of today :D) As for blind buying it? I blind bought it without knowing a thing about the blend; and I fell in love. Thanks for this review Sir.
very fine and exact impression from you, I feel the same. An EDT like the Pink Floyd album "The piper at the gates of dawn" - both are nearly forgotten and you may no like it, but you must confess its marvelousness and outstanding craft. Madness in utterly clearness. I ever returned back to them. Thank you Chris and nice interior, cheers !
Man,this fragrance is crazy....the epithome of the 80’ powerhouse...i wear it in very special situations. And lasts and lasts....actually,lasts forever!Michael Douglas,Wall Street.
@Scent Land Hi Chris. Great review, I will try this out. You mentioned current perfumes and always getting to the next one etc. What do you think, did perfumes become simple and short lived due to the introduction of fast-fashion? Designers expecting you to go through a 100ml bottle fast enough for you to buy the next one with the next collection of clothes, which is about every 3 months now. Flankers are expected so often that it just does not worth to develop a complex scent anymore?
Chris have you ever tried Smalto? IT use to be my scent back in the day,if you can,can you do a review of this great fragerance? I think it came out a year after Lapidus. Thanks.
Sir i want best projecting perfume just like lapidus pour homme.... Beast... Which will be the best?? Among these 1 million paco rabbane Versace eros Versace dylan blue Armaf club de nuit
I’m buying this as soon as I get paid. Your channel means so much to me. Thank you for your colossal contribution to the community.

One of my true fragrance must haves and truly on it’s own plane. Great review!
Chris, you're so inspiring and sincere in this review. It just makes me smile. bravo , keep going!!
First! Love and adore this scent. Weirdly, this is a compliment getter in rainy weather
I could see that. The cool weather probably keeps it from going beast mode, but pulls the florals forward. Dew on a (manly) garden, haha!
This is my favorite cologne of all time. Thank you for describing it as elegant and sophisticated; it is. It's a masterpiece.
One of my all time favourites Chris.
Regards my friend

Fantastic, passionate review! I've ordered Lapidus PH, liked the video and subscribed to the channel.
You sold this to me when you said it smells “French”! 🇫🇷
Great review! Nobody reviews proper old school fragrances like you!
The bottle design is nice too. Feels good in hand.
Your description was spot on. I have this fragrance and its very nice.
One of your best reviews!

Excuse me Chris.
Is buying a vintage version (splash bottle) worth the price, or is the current formulation (which I own) good as well?
I respect its complexity and performance, but its just too sweet for me...
I have a bottle ordered 👍

Brings back childhood memories of stealing sprays from my dad's bottle
Amo. Homem cheiroso. Ótimo perfume.
Have you smelled the clone "Lord" by Al Rehab? If so, how do they compare?
Unfortunately, this sauce doesn't like my skin. It's the pineapple and lemon, same with aventus. The weird and wonderful world of skin chemistry
I spray clothes
forgive me if you already did a video on Hugo Boss #1.....but I want to hear your opinion on that one..
I love it more than Kouros! Has more beautiful dry down, and it isn't animalic like Kouros!
Art
This is the cologne of Eighties
No fragrances is too strong or potent if you only use one spray.
Best 👍
This is the least blind buy worthy fragrance on the planet, I've had or tested everything from Kouros, Anteus to Amouages
For 40 plus.Millenials stay away....
