Myanmar, the Paths of Freedom | Deadliest Journeys

- Myanmar, once closed off by dictatorship, now reveals its stunning landscapes, including the rare giraffe women, living freely in their villages. Some have turned to tourism for income. Recently, the government allowed foreigners to explore the North. Ko Soe Moe, a tour guide, is pioneering a new tourist route from Mandalay to Rid Hill Lake, facing the challenges of monsoon-flooded roads. He discovers a semi-free elephant reserve and a crude oil camp, highlighting the resourcefulness in remote areas. In Kalé Myo, time seems frozen, with WWII trucks still in use, alongside handcrafted jeeps, a testament to local ingenuity. Amidst these, Aung Ko, a young trucker, navigates challenging roads for livelihood, illustrating the resilience and aspirations of Myanmar's people. Ko Soe Moe's journey through hazardous Chin mountains roads, vital for trade with India, underscores the potential and perils of opening up new tourist paths.

Yap Arunachal Pradesh including Darjeeling sikkim, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan should be one country who doesn’t agree should go to India, Pakistan or Saudia Arab, Malaysia.
The fact that the narrator voices the translation instead of captions makes this documentary even more fun to watch

I😢 felt the young lady's frustration of having to wear the brass on her neck.
I have to respect any tradition no matter my opinion!... However ...how much idiot could anyone be to punish any woman by hardly stressing her body and skin healthy etc with these heavy rings etc against any that Our God / Mother Nature designed for humans to get them alive?🤔
All of the fat women in the usa should wear them around their waists

nice... good update
Beautiful documentaries
I don't regret selling my land to buy my smartphone n internet bundles... good documentary 🎉😂❤
Am from NE India and most of the drugs came from this...which is making many children addicted and dead!! Our boarders are wide open ..and this is why manipuris stated kukis are immigrant..and are fighting right now..which has been nearly a year now..
Actually if you look at the stats Maximum of Drug peddlers caught were Meiteis. And poppy was first planted and brought in by the Tangkhul Naga in 1997. I'm not saying the Kukis are Saints, and don't plant poppy. But we should keep in mind that, even the Nagas and Nepalis do poppy , but in smaller numbers. And also half of the Manipur borderline that borders with Myanmar are Naga districts, the rest Kukis'. I don't understand how manipulative Meiteis are. I don't blame you, all state media are ran by them. The Kukis are economically and Politically still weak in comparison to the Meiteis. They blame the Kukis for everything. But we don't care, we will fight for our rights.
The day is near when Zo people ( Chin, Kuki, Mizo) once again shed their egos and come together and stand under one umbrella
I love watching documentary
The narrator is doing a good job.❤

This documentary has "The Gods Must Be Crazy" vibes. It was enjoyable and informative.
Great movie reference!
Cool off roading 😎
_Thank_ _you_ for uploading another "Most Deadliest Roads", i think I've _almost_ seen the whole series but this particular episode & a few others i can't seem to find.
_This_ original series by *Tony* *Comiti* & his camera crew with this particular voice-over guy are the best.
The new episodes with the American voice-over guy are nowhere near as good compared to this.

These people are living 20-30 years back and they think it's bad life. Gradually the nation will develop and then they will miss this calm and peaceful life as we miss our old days !
Their government too corrupted. I don't think they gonna get to equal footing with even Philippines in 20years. . . Mind you , Philippines not even that develop. Much less to follow up Thailand, Singapore , Malaysia or even Indonesia or other neighbors country.
@9:05 Is that Kirk Hammet?
It's really work 😃
Most of the cars in Myanmar are from Thailand or China not Singapore

You repost videos this has been out years do you ever do new ones sick off seeing the same ones all the time
The Myanmar government needs to construct paved roads which are usable in the monsoon season.
I will never understand the logic of those who live in areas similar to those presented in many documentaries, areas where there is so much rock, stone, and the roads are just bare ground!!!
I can't understand why that stone is not used to pave dirt roads and build durable and practicable roads, either laziness is too great or indifference is at home
@@leatheraccessories646 bc put rock on sit on top don't stay long on strong weather . That need strong foundations road even needed to maintenance few years , also those road aren't near anywhere . Also poor people need more works just to feed themselves alive . They don't have time to chip mountain and put on road . If you are dumb you shut up and learn .
everytime it rains the rocks are washed away.@@leatheraccessories646
Did you actually watch this? It clearly documents how consistently hard these people work for what little they have. Governments build roads and infrastructure. They need to pay their workers. This is what taxes are for. It's a poor country, not alot the government can squeeze out of the populace. Your indifferent privileged ignorance you're too lazy too improve is shameful
apakah junta myanmar mengambil pajak dari kendaraan kendaraan tua tersebut?? salut dgn semangat hidup org disana, salam dari Indonesia🙏
