      US and European companies are polluting and exploiting Amazon resources and Brazilians are to blame? I'm Brazilian and this documentary is very superficial. It presents a part of a road in the far reaches of the Amazon.

    Really intriguing.
    Sadly, for most of these people the only option to make a living is related with illegal activities. Yet, every attempt to bring development to the region only caused further deforestation and destruction. The Belo Monte Power plant is a good example.

      Muitos desses lugares são próximos de fronteiras, e muitas dessas pessoas são descendentes de imigrantes dos países vizinhos.

      Já viu o documentário onde franceses vão pescar na Somália, o povo da Somália mete bala nos barcos enormes de pesca dos franceses e pegam de volta os peixes e tudo que encontram?
      Os franceses chamam eles de piratas, mas eu os chamaria de pessoas sensatas, já que os franceses já acabaram com praticamente todos os recursos em terra de muitas regiões africanas, e ainda estão acabando com os recursos marinhos.

      At 17-20% those are large tracks of desflorested land by any measure.
      The Brazilian Armed forces need to increase its effective with boots and equipment on the ground to deter this advancement.
      Larger defense budget here is justifiable , as Brazil historically has not deployed its armed forces to invade other nations.
      This is the only measure to deter the ongoing destruction of the country’s barely inhabited frontier outposts.

    This channel only shows the difficult side of countries. Don't think that Brazil is just that. This is a region of the Amazon rainforest, so some sections are difficult to navigate.

      You've got that WAY WRONG! Today, April 17 2024, there are only 493,284 views and 3.4 k likes, or 3400. Neither of those numbers are unusual. They're actually good for a show that's only been up for 2 weeks!
      I think you mistook subscribers for views. The channel has 4.67 M subs. Probably 4 million when you wrote your comment 2 weeks ago, at which point the video had only JUST been posted. Maybe it was 1 day old at that time.

    Á Rodovia br 230 á transamazônica foi iniciado em 1969 e terminada em 1972 com a extensão de 4632 Km , inicia na cidade de cabedelo no estado da paraíba e corta o Brasil transversalmente até a cidade de Labrea no estado do amazonas perto da fronteira com o Peru , ligando a região Amazônica até o Atlantico , mas por descaso politico foi deixada se deteriorar e não toda pavimentada , que pena .

    As the people create there world they may learn the before and after , but in this case moving to other areas when one becomes ruined . leaves them with an attitude which is not helping them selves . removing tribes and people from there homes with out compensation those who managed the resources better than the future occupiers not good. I suggest a slow down of work and these developments. people and family propertys protected. and good fruit and vegetable food, good prices .thank you good documentary
