I really like this guy! I think he has some really good self awareness which is great for him moving forward👌🏽 on a side note, my daughter had cancer twice and the second time she had blood cancer and early on got a staph infection all through her poor little body, fentanyl wasn’t cutting it for her pain, so they had her on ketamine for 3 days….holy shit😳 seeing your 13yr old hallucinate on that stuff is pretty frickin confronting😣 happy to say she’s now 6 yrs cancer free! Thanks again Mark for all you do, I love your channel☺️ sending love from Australia 🇦🇺❤️✌🏽
I got a call from a loved one in hospital and they never really explained the side effects of ketamine. They were giving it to her for severe pain after a back operation also on top of strong opiates. She was terrified poor thing This guy is so articulate and calm. I hope he's on his way up. Also from Australia ❤✌ hope you're daughter and you are doing well
@@mdstanton1813 we are thank you! She’s in second year university and doing so well, although she’s had some long term side effects which are difficult to deal with..but she’s alive! Many of her friends weren’t so blessed😓 and yes, sounds like your loved one had a similar reaction, it was very scary at the time, almost like psychosis😫
I agree. Regardless of your thoughts on drugs, addiction, homelessness, etc., you’d have to like this guy and admit he seems very much like a good soul. Refreshing on this channel
He's such a gem, but you won't let him stay with you? Date you? Share a life with him? Not trying to attack but so many people watch these vids and just go Oh they seem so nice, etc. They are all humans, capable of hurting others and having demons that don't come out in an interview.
A few things about ketamine to put right: Ketamine was developed as an anesthetic for humans, it's primary advantage is that it preserves breathing and airway reflexes. It is still used on humans when you don't want to ventilate. Veterinarians use it for that same reason - intubating an animal is more complicated than a Ketamine injection. And there's no such thing as Rhino or Human grade Ketamine, it’s always Ketamine salt dissolved in water, you just need a bigger bottle to put out a rhino. To get snortable Ketamine, you let the water evaporate and get a 100% pure drug. What does exist are two mirrored versions of the same molecule, so called isomers. In medicine they mainly use R-Ketamine a so called racemic mixture of both isomers, or the isolated S-Isomer. It should not be eaten, as this provides low bio-availability and leads to bladder and kidney damage. Small amounts and rare use promote brain health, but large amounts in regular use cause pronounced brain damage. [EDIT] While it's not physically addictive like other dangerous drugs, lacking a mechanism for withdrawal, it can still lead to intense cravings after prolonged use at excessive dosages. For me it was harmless, mostly wired, but some have a euphoric reaction to the substance. Always observe Rule #2 of drug taking: If a substance alleviates a lot of your problems, run the other way.
@@cherryblossomvanillabean1751 Yes, I'm in europe, can't get it from the doctor yet to treat depression. To play my own doctor I dug really deep to make sure that I don't take any risk.
what an absolute sweetheart x x this guy would make the most incredible addiction counsellor for others, hes very talented, wise owl. very intelligent about mental health
Nah… I don’t think he’s spun up in addiction, just likes drugs, parties, people and life. He’s the type that can get off a bus in a strange town and people are drawn to and like to help. He’s also probably very helpful too for “newbies” or someone from out of town. I bet this dude knows most of everyone somehow, where all the good parties are, and kind of bounces from scene to scene. He’s got star quality, but doesn’t need fame if that makes sense. Like he doesn’t have ego wrapped up around him, but he’s not so low, that he use the party drugs as a massive crutch. I can see him being this way when he’s 75 and moves to Key West and is naked half the time and has like 5 gal pals hanging around. And is living on a sail boat and sleeping in a hammock. And smoking a dubbie or taking some shrooms.
Yeah he’s a sweetheart. Very simple outlook on life, I like that. And when I say simple I don’t mean stupid…. He’s clearly smart and has a lot of emotional intelligence.. something that’s quite rare in people these days. He’s very likeable, considering what he’s probably been through. Wish him nothing but the best.
This guys mentality was the same as mine when I was in college in my early 20s. Took me back. He's a good dude, good heart it seems. He understands that his use of drugs is for escapism. There are lots of things that can serve that role like he says, but drugs can be the easiest way to do so. I just hope that he finds passion in his life so that he doesn't feel like he needs to escape it.
He can probably do it on his own through meditation or trance now. I learned how from using hallucinogenic drugs, and then could pretty much put myself into a trip alone with music in th er background. It's like once you've been there once in your mind. You can go there again.
100 percent …… such a smart dude ….. knows exactly what he’s doing. He just has the vale of drug addiction in his way. Once he removes that smoke screen of addiction the fog will clear, the eyes will brighten. He has a long way to go though. Been sober for 3 years I was addicted to meth heroin and Xanax
@@moonshine814 his eyes speak, he has the eyes of an innocent angel, his eyes are literally the window to his soul. And I can’t say that about everybody’s eyes.
Ketamine is currently one of the drugs being used in psychedelic therapy. Psychedelic therapy being is used on C PTSD, PTSD and treatment resistant depression patients with great success. There are numerous clinical trials being conducted now on psychedelics. Entheogenics (psychedelic plants) are currently being decriminalized in cities all across the country.
I'm very open minded and gave done just about everything there is commonly, however I do not trust these trials. Big pharma is big pharma, lsd was utilised for mk ultra. The whole thing just stinks with this backdrop.
You don't fix any mental health problems with drugs I don't care what anyone says . It's just putting a bandaid over the problem it never really fixes anything it just sits under the surface waiting festering like a wound that never heals while big pharma gets fat from all the money it makes 💔
More than clinical trials. Janssen Pharma took one isomer of Ketamine and named it Spravato, a nasal spray. Now psychiatrists can bill insurance for the med along with doctor time for administration.
@@Bebedollie these drug therapies aren’t just taking drugs. Generally speaking they’re in 1-3 sessions where the person is heavily monitored before and after the onset/comedown. You do psychotherapy during the experience. I cant say how much this applies to ketamine and the recent nasal perscription but personally as someone with severe childhood trauma and cptsd i think mdma therapy would be incredibly helpful for me to open up and process trauma. Especially with how mdma fosters empathy.

Clearly he's a fan favorite and I have to agree with every single positive message here. It's amazing how genuinely kind, smart and personable Saturn is, especially with such a traumatic childhood. I wish him nothing but the best!
For me, K was a party drug for sure. I loved it and would only say positive things about it and encourage other people to try it. I thought it was the best drug ever. Years later and now 8 years sober (and a professional addiction counsellor) I believe it is not about the specific drug, everyone thinks the drug they like is the best, it is about WHY you are using. Boredom doesn't really cut it.... Drug users are looking for connection, they are looking for connection, a way to get past their traumas. Saturn didn't know his parents and all the responsible people left him early. He doesn't know how to ask for help, to be vulnerable or to talk about his pains. His solution is drug use because that is the only thing he was ever taught. Not his fault.
I found your comment insightful. The most compelling part of the interview for me was when Saturn talked about shadow work and said, "I like distracting myself and am trying to figure out why. I'm sure it has to do with my childhood." He was making a huge connection. For some reason at that moment, the interviewer started talking about how people use drugs because they're bored. It was almost as if he didn't hear what Saturn just said.
This one is my favorite episode! I want to get this mans address and keep up with him! This channel reminds me how much I love people and the about the potential we all have to affect others with positivity even when surrounded by negativity..
He took a bus across the country after a traumatic foster care childhood and fulfilled his dream of diving into the ocean. I bet 99% of the viewers here don’t have that kind of courage and sit at home just thinking about dreams. This guy is a hero.
He's a drug addict. What's hero about that? My heroes get up off their ass every morning to go to work and try their best to pay their bills and support themselves and their families.
Not true for all of us , maybe for you. I work hard save some money, and have travelled the world. Its not hard to follow your dreams, you just need to have a plan for them to come true, not just dreaming...
Agreed. I image that Saturn's childhood was much tougher than he lets on. You're so right that trekking across the country and being in awe of the palm trees and the ocean is a mix of sweet and heartbreaking. He's surviving after a really tough childhood and seeing light in this world. A hero for sure.
I don't know what I was expecting when I opened this interview but it checked every box. Wish this guy the best, he is extremely intelligent and you can tell he has a good soul

I was able to hide my diction from almost everybody for many years simply articulating myself in a similar manner, being self-aware, and appear like a person who knows when to stop. Addicts are masters of deception and they don't just to save others but also I'm selves with lies to avoid admitting their addiction or pain, or the fact that they are functioning addict is a free pass to continue using but it's just a clever way around your own defense mechanisms. Traumatize saw a person who is also addicted to find many creative ways to do anything BUT real work. It is also very possible to seven would be fine but it could also happened he won't be, but you will not be able to tell because he's already very good at hiding hiding his own addiction, from others but from himself as well. When I was surrounded by drug users, none of them ever expressed any concerns about my ketamine addiction or that there might be a problem with it because they all have addiction issues too I noticed that sharing about my own, triggered them so profoundly that they would get aggressive some of them ended our "friendship" because my own openness about struggle and addiction Mitte uncomfortable and it was just way of reaching out to people who did not want to help me because they just wanted to do drugs and I needed help. I also noticed a pattern that people distance themselves from me whenever I did open up about addiction or admitting it to them and that I was planning on quitting and they immediately just either ghosted me or said that they do not want to have any contact with me and that I need to find help and then it's not a problem,.

I've recently started going to a ketamine clinic for depression. I got the infusions and then got a prescription for home based therapy. It has been completely life changing. I have suffered from depression and addiction my entire life. I've tried different meds and treatment without success and this was the first time I've noticed such a dramatic improvement.
Exactly, most people put all these chemicals in the same basket, but its completely wrong, there is probably no better tool for mass mental health than psychedelics, and science has finally started to backup this.
@@Beigebunnyhunny psilocybin was what helped me get off psych meds originally. Powerful and important medicine. There has been a huge surge in research about it (as well as other psychedelics) so I'm hopeful we will see it become widely available in my lifetime!

He is hurting and most of you cannot see it. Addicts and users are surrounded by other drug users and they do not want them to quit, a person can seem bright and self-aware and having things under control , and that's how Alex managed to use and even surprise friends find out who's leader that this person is addicted and they never knew. And I agree that Saturn is a wonderful soul but he's also very deep in his addiction and you can fill most of you for sure. Might even come here and read the comments and think that he's on the right track and that his life is not in any considerable danger others ketamine used is not serious enough to be addressed because some of the abundance of positive responses to his parents awareness that makes people assume that he can control what he consumes. And I'm sure that he doesn't have a therapist who would actually pointed out to him and see through it but TH-cam is easy game for him. Wish you the best. I have yet to meet truly evil drug users because deep down we're just all hurting and I'm finding ways to not feel the pain. Addiction and drug use or even manage to become a functioning addict, is a lot more easier to deal with truly addressing the problem.
I really enjoyed listening to him. He seems to know what’s right & WHATS wrong. I think with the help that Mark and his associates can do for him, he’ll get clean- with clean thoughts❣️ 🙏🏽ing
Ketamine is one of the most addictive substances I've tried in my experience. I see the potential for good, but it scares me how addicting it can be. I like this dude, he seems like a nice knowledgeable person.
As with the interview directly prior to this, the mushroom user, it’s amazing to me how different the comments seem to be. People largely saying: “he seems cool to hang out with”, “what a likable guy”, “funny”, “seems friendly”, etc… These are remarkably different than the comments I read when folks are on Skid Row and using heroin, meth, crack, etc… How interesting. It says a lot about us as a society and our perceptions/first impressions.
I've noticed this too! People are so quick to disregard someone who has gruby clothes or smells, at no fault of their own. I live in New York City, people will avoid sitting next to someone who appears homeless on an empty bench to be with seemingly "homeful" crowded area.
@Soul Fight I believe it has more to do with behavior than aesthetics. Hallucinogens / anesthetics produce sedation, generating an end product that is likely a great deal more enjoyable to chill with then say someone on stimulants or opiates, imo.. but hey, different strokes for different folks ✌🏻
That’s because the association of psychedelics compared to other drugs. When we think of psychedelics we think of the 70s when ppl were “happier” and hippies but when we think of other drugs such as crack, we immediately criminalize (I.e ppl who steal or prostitute) the people who use these drugs.
Very true. Got more psychological problems trying to mend it by various types of mind-altering subtances. True power is in bleeding out your thoughts to a very close friend or a proffesional. I'm happy now and my world has changed for the better in everyway.
I’m starting my clinical ketamine infusions next week for chronic pain and the depression that comes with it. Can anyone please explain to me what to expect? I’m both excited and frightened.
I suspect that’s something you should, you know, ask your Doctor about, not a bunch of people on TH-cam. You’re just going to internalize the comments you want to read and get yourself worked up over any bad experiences people report, which will all be anecdotal and specific to their situation, not yours. You need your brain on your side, not accepting doubt from nobodies on the internet. Good luck

I think that Mark kind of pushed the answer on him though. 1st he said he was bored than he admitted that girls and drugs were a distraction for him, and despite Mark's probing he said "I've got tons of stuff to do". So unless he can find balance or get some peace of mind from his past frustrations, he will be locked into the cycle of not wanting to think about anything, feeling bored then, then drugs. Basically it is more than boredom that stumbles him but boredom becomes the excuse.
I am a poly addict for over 17 years, and i used ketamine to get off all the other types of drugs i was dabbling in on the regular. It completely dissolved my need for something else, unfortunately it did hook me eventually (obviously i remain an addict) but i am dealing with my last battle so to speak. It is a wonderdrug to me, it does have a certain ' learning curve ' and it definitely is an acquired taste, but true addicts are pretty rare compared to other drugs. The mental cravings are amongst the strongest i've had from any drug, u can even get some light physical symptoms but it's a walk in the park compared to amphetamines or opiates or booze. I will never fully give up ketamine, for me it's like psychedelics, they're life guides, mental crutches so to speak. I'm very happy i have such things at my disposal to enjoy every now and then and will always choose it above booze or uppers, which are just pits u don't want to fall deep in.

@@ramellbrown6439you missed the point my guy, the guy isnt a role model but he’s not a total piece of shit either 🤷🏽♂️
U sound super educated on the stuff!!

this guy would make the most incredible addiction counsellor for others, hes very talented, wise owl. very intelligent about mental health
He’s very cute I like his style a lot
seems grounded
I was thinking the same thing, that he would make a great counselor. He has a really gentle spirit.
Someone who is broken cannot help others who are broken. It is obvious he himself needs long term therapy.
What a lovely guy - really pure soul.
I feel sorry for him. He started life with a sad 😢 story…
Well said.

Not for OCD? That's too bad.

K is definitely the best drug for escapism!

Xactly. Well said.

I agree. Same for the more good looking interviewees.
I've noticed this too! People are so quick to disregard someone who has gruby clothes or smells, at no fault of their own. I live in New York City, people will avoid sitting next to someone who appears homeless on an empty bench to be with seemingly "homeful" crowded area.
@Soul Fight
I believe it has more to do with behavior than aesthetics. Hallucinogens / anesthetics produce sedation, generating an end product that is likely a great deal more enjoyable to chill with then say someone on stimulants or opiates, imo.. but hey, different strokes for different folks ✌🏻
@@heatherbleu5370 I think she/he is more talking about how superficial people can be. Empathy being only for the more "chill" people.

I liked to hear Saturn talk. He seemed so kind and honest, and he has a nice personality! I hope things get better for him, because he could really help others I think!
Didn't we all just hear him talk? Are you on shrooms?
Thank you for sharing and for your hard work. It's important to not judge someone for being different or for even "talking differently". We are all human and unique in our own special ways. Thank you for continuing to spread awareness each day and for giving us the chance to learn from these interviews.
Much love to you!
♥️
I loved that I heard him talk about shadow work. It's so important to heal your soul. Especially for those who have been deeply wounded. It's incredibly hard and I have yet to try it because I fear not being ready. It's a big step.
Utilize an experienced and responsible trip doula. That makes all the difference. Safe travels
Saturn reminds me of myself when I first traveled out to California, homeless.
Sober off Alcohol for 4 years now, and going back to College for Environmental Sciences/Outdoor Education in the Fall of 2023.
We do recover.
I love this guy so genuine down to earth it's really hard talking about bad childhoods he is awesome. I also love his style he looks great. This was a great interview. Hope Saturn is doing well. ❤🙏
I like this guy! He's so super chill, seems like he'd welcome anyone as a friend. Just good vibes 100%! I wish him the BEST!
Did I miss something what's on his arm?
I can't sleep nice surprise to see 2 uploads... lucky for me..
Mark do you ever sleep?
Could be a glucose monitor with measurements available on a smartphone through BT/wifi.
looks like a glucose sensor for diabetes
Correct. My husband wears one.
Looks like it is Freestyle Libre which is a flash glucose monitor for diabetics. Would be interesting to know how well he is able to monitor his diabetes.
He has Type I insulin dependant Diabetes
From the looks of his freestyle flash continious glucose monitor on his arm. I have it too Its a shame he didn't mention this during the interview.
You can be anywhere you want to be. it's what you take with you along the way....
Don't stay back and babysit the past........I can see so much potential in you...keep us posted on this one Mark..I like him
This guy would make a fabulous counselor. Either with a degree or as a peer counselor. He’s so articulate, self aware, and likable. He’s got a realistic understanding of drug use.
thank you!
I’ve also learned that self discipline is wildly important. While continuously failing to exert any in my life.
I've never heard of ketamine. These videos are very educational. Even at 38 I learn new things constantly. This channel has really opened my eyes to the world around me. Thank you Mark.
I had never heard of it either, until someone told me that my husband was drugging me without my knowledge. So I talked to the right people, was tested for date rape drugs, and it came up in my results. And GHB. Then I researched it. For a year now, I want to get hard revenge against my husband. I wish I knew where to get these drugs. I'd dose him and get him to confess, then cruelly rape and post him on Porn sites.
@@fortheloveofdeltaco tf ?
@@fortheloveofdeltaco leave him
@@stonk1851 I've tried a few times. He has strong narcissistic tendencies. He can be pretty dangerous in so many ways. I sent him to his family but he raised hell several times a day. He used his credit card to catch the bus back.
@@fortheloveofdeltaco sounds like you're messed up too if raping him is a way to get back at him...
Chill dude would love to hear more stories about his days on the street.
Saturn, I am so sorry for everything you've been through. You've been up against so much. You are bright, insightful & have an amazing vocabulary. You seem to be in control of your drug use. That's important. I have a feeling that you have a big heart too :) I am angry about the system that failed you. You deserved better. Here in Canada, kids in care/wards of the crown are offered free education--college, university,... when they become adults. This wasn't an option for you, but I encourage you to use your strengths to keep searching for what can bring more meaning to your life, like your shadow work. Who knows what can open up from this. You deserve happiness & wholeness. You're worth it! ♥
thank you!
Love this guy so much! ❤ what a sweetie. Psychedelics are so magical and powerful when used as a tool. They have changed my life and helped me see the beauty in this life.
How great is his portrait!?
Wow
He’s so genuine. Such a grounded nice guy. Super intelligent and well spoken.
This guy has a pure heart. O hope he finds his happy place. Praying for him 🙏🏽
Saturn you deserve all the good things in life! Look around, and if you don't like what you see then change it. I feel you could go anywhere if you wanted. Manifest that life you want. Best of luck! 🍀❤🥰
This guy is awesome. Boredom is a huge part of drugs.
Devils playground
I think that Mark kind of pushed the answer on him though. 1st he said he was bored than he admitted that girls and drugs were a distraction for him, and despite Mark's probing he said "I've got tons of stuff to do". So unless he can find balance or get some peace of mind from his past frustrations, he will be locked into the cycle of not wanting to think about anything, feeling bored then, then drugs.
Basically it is more than boredom that stumbles him but boredom becomes the excuse.
@@1982Geoff1982 I get what you mean. But having plenty to do doesn't mean you're not bored. Maybe bored is the wrong word. Unfulfilled
Be careful with your bladder tho
Good on him. Partys gotta end at some point...its better if you end it yourself. And I agree with his view that some drugs can help people...but what's enlightening to someone might be poison to someone else.
Ketamine is remarkable. I used to drink the liquid straight from the rubber top vial and was transported into another space/time/reality and would emerge and had a new outlook on life soon after. Glad to see it in a clinical setting used to treat PTSD and severe depression.
Wish it was as available as it was in my rave days, no?? Lol
Love a good K hole
I cooked it. Microwave it Turned to powder then sniff it
This guy seems cool. Wish you the best Saturn!!!
God bless him and hope for a better future for him
I was doing ketamine infusions at my pain dr office for anxiety depression and pain. It was 4 hours long every session. He explained the experience correctly
