Thanks for this! I just ordered mine and I can't wait to rewatch this when I finally have it. I love that you mention about being "lazy" as much as possible with finger motion, my dad taught me that when I was learning guitar too. So helpful!
Hmm, I was excited to see this video on the McNally Strumstick in G, but it's a little more complicated to play than I thought. One thing I don't like about it is that the spacing of the frets aren't more even, like on a ukulele. I have to look down on the fretboard to hit the fret just right as some are so far apart than others. Plus, my fingers can't spread that wide. I thought I could play this thing with one finger, but I guess not if you want to sound more sophisticated. I'll go over this video a lot slower to see if I get it better. Thanks for posting all these vids!
The spacing is very different from a chromatic instrument. Has to be to skip the half steps. I find the grand McNally’s to be a really big stretch that makes it pretty challenging. Start slow, you’ll get it!!
