My son is ten and we’ve been “doing school” right along with you for a few years now. Even though we have a large homeschool community here, we homeschool very differently. In the beginning, I kept how we homeschooled a secret. Now, as we get ready for fifth grade, I tell all my friends. I realized my son loves learning and enjoys school (most days). I have seen the love of learning leaving his friends . I hear homeschool moms talk about their kids crying and about arguing every day. Thank you, for your ideas, encouragement, and confidence. If it hadn’t been for your videos, I would have felt very alone. We are looking forward to another great year!
Thank you! This is beyond helpful for me. I always feel so lost to what are they need to know, what should they do, and what I need to really focus on. They are going into fifth grade and these checklist are so encouraging that maybe we aren't as "behind" as I thought.
Jessica...you are killing it in that entry about the "target" grade checklist lol I just want to play that on loop for everyone who questions my homeschooling choice.
This unit looks Amazing! We shall be getting this. Just purchased your mini beast unit first since lots of spiders coming into our home in the U.K. 😮 and crane flies! The unit looks so much fun. Can I ask what binder do you use? Any tips? Do you have a video perhaps on a binding machine you use/recommend? Tia x
I did "one thing" last year for my kids and they picked science experiments. We had a great time doing lots of hands on science experiments. This year my kids want cooking and baking as our one thing and I am going to try to do science in the kitchen as well
Do you have a list available or pictures of all the games you have? I'd love to invest in some of them. I've seen your list of recommended ones but I'd love to see what's on your shelf. I love clip 9:39.
Girl , no judgement here . If you had a budget we would see less homeschool haul videos . And without those how would I get a million amazing ideas to get for our homeschool ? Haha
Since you don't have any curriculum that you follow day by day, how do you plan your year or plan how you're going to teach what skill and when? Do you have any videos on that?
I use the my grade level checklists to help me decide what concepts or skills I want to teach. Homeschool with peace of mind using these FREE planning checklists for EVERY grade level: www.thewaldockway.com/grade-level-checklists-2/
@@TheWaldockWay I did just print that last week. I was just wondering if you have a certain plan on teaching those or do you just go down the list that you just hand wrote and teach the next thing after the next thing?
I would love to see a homeschool room clean out and reset with all the new items you purchase for the new year.
I will see what I can do!

What a refreshing way to do planning and makes so much sense! Not the usual "this is my planner and watch me complete it" type of video 😁
I am so glad you enjoyed it!

Hello, thank you for the help and feedback. It won't let me download the checklist. Any thoughts?
Loving those skills checklists.
Always love your videos!
Can I ask where you got the wood book bins that are underneath the map?
The map ans bins are from Hobby Lobby from years ago
this was so helpful - especially those awesome check lists! thank you for making this video 😊
I am so glad you found it helpful!
Hello! I am having trouble getting the checklist. I love your videos and apprecaite all the work you put into them. Could someone help me out please?
Email me at jessica@thewaldockway.com and I will send them to you.
Where do you get the checklists from?that
For the shopping phase of planning , do you start with a budget??
I don't 🙈 I mean we don't go into debt but because I don't buy a ton of curriculum I instead use that money toward resources.

Where do you find those lists of what they "need to know or learn by grade"?
