- Taking a look back at the career of referee Hugh Dallas. Despised by Celtic supporters primarily for his performance in a May 1999 derby game vs Rangers, Dallas is one of the most controversial figures in the history of Scottish football.
I was at that game, without doubt the most disgraceful, dishonest and sectarian display of refereeing I have seen.
Dallas the defrocked referee came to my uncles funeral many years ago,he was a free mason,they stood about in little groups with there heads together, PATHETIC

6:47 I seem to be the only person who remembers this. On the morning of this cup final, BBC ran football show where they had interviewed Dallas in his home. His son was running around in the background in a RANGERS kit. His son is Andrew Dallas who is now a grade one referee and awarded rangers four penalties in one match.
I remember thinking at the time that it was either stupid or arrogant for the cup final ref to allow his son to be filmed wearing a kit, whether it be rangers or Celtic. I personally think it was a fuck you to Celtic.

4:40 when they were about to take the free kick I said to the people I was watching with that he’s going to give a penalty as soon as the ball comes in. It was that predictable.
9:06 A couple of days after the Dougie Dougie incident, Dalls went live on Clyde 1 football show to give his version of the incident. He repeated everything that Dougie had said, and said he hadn’t spoken to Craven. Days later Craven gave his version and said he’d spoken to Dallas the night of the game.
So he’s lied on air about the incident.

There was a midweek League Cup tie at home to Dundee in which he sent off Mahe again for even less than THAT Rangers game. He couldnt have made his bias against Celtic more clear.

Important correction - McDonald did not hire the specialist to investgate Dallas, he hired the specialist to work out what happened that day as there was serious unrest. The specialist pointed out that Dallas showed Dallas showed very friendly body language towards the Rangers players, the body language to Celtic players was in marked contrast to his approach to the other side.
