I literally logged back into FB to see if you had any camping or trail TH-cam videos since I know how much y’all do. First off seen this video, great job! What a way to show the story and talk about it. Great job and I hope you have many more experiences like this!
I don’t think finely engineered parts and electronics really appreciate the dust grime and vibration that needs to be endured to get to the epic places. 🤣
Sounds like a great day on the trails. Congratulations on getting to use your winch. It sounds like you really need to go with a highly experienced trail partner.
We’re used to taking full sized trucks to bad places, but usually have others within radio reach. It’s different when you have to extract the daily from a poor choice.
@@luckypawsgarage that's why you don't go way up and put 40's on it. Just enough to get a better break over, less high centering. If you need much more clearance, take the JEEP.
@@kurtloptien185 not at all. Any capable 4x4 could do the trail, but it’s not recommended to do it alone. Wouldn’t want to take a stock vehicle there either. Everyone’s capabilities and comfort level vary.

So the moral of the story is; good for you, a true adventure, one you will never forget!👍🏼
my starter went out a week after I was doing some remote driving above Central City ... luckily I had gotten home and pulled into the shed ...

you had the guts to try, gotta give you that.awesome.!!!
About 3 inches of lift, slightly taller tires, lower gears in transfer case should help tremendously.
True would have made it less difficult, but but this truck is used more for towing than crawling.

Fun is expensive!
No kidding! 🤣
I'm going to assume when you refer to a jeep you're using that as a general slang term for an SUV.
No you’d be wrong. It refers to a JK Rubicon.
@@luckypawsgarage so only a rubicon is capable of doing this trail?
