    I have this scope on a 308 and its fantastic. This scope represents fantastic value and is superior to the vortex viper equivalent in every way. I dropped my rifle directly onto the scope by accident once and it held zero and the only scar was a small dent in the objective side rim. The glass is pretty darn good, its not stupid heavy if you get the non illum version and it has held zero just fine. But what you really buy this thing for is the turrets and the reticle. That is where it stands above the vortex in my opinion. The parallax adjustment range is fantastic too. You can really dial this scope in for whatever situation you are in and have zero parallax. Eye relief is forgiving up to about 14x then its a bit tighter with a more constricted eye box.
    I didn't go out looking to buy a 6-24 but this had every feature I wanted and left nothing on the table. I leave mine no higher than 12x for shooting, but I can confirm targets and POI with the higher magnification at longer ranges which negates a spotting scope pretty well. 6x is a bit high for the low end for closer shots if you were to hunt with this. Long distance hunting in the mountains or flat prairies this could serve well. Pick this optic up at the store and it is very confidence inspiring, it doesn't feel cheap in any way and after playing with the adjustments you know you are holding a quality item.
    I wish Bushnell would make something with this feature set in lower magnification ranges like a 2.5-10 or 4-14.

    Really would like to see how it looks through the scope at range at max power out in the sun and stuff. That is what really makes the difference between a good and bad scope most of the time.

    How will it handle Recoil ? I had a Millitte go belly up on my Lapua 338., Bushnell sent me this one, Your Thoughts.

      So how did it do on your .338 Lapua? I want to know because I’m getting ready to take a package deal optic off my son’s Howa .300WM I’m just researching Bushnell’s current line of optics to choose the best optic for his uses and have room left in the budget for good optics mounts. He can afford a more expensive optic but No need to have a $2000.00 optic on a long range hunting rifle that gets knocked around some. I use Bushnell optics on all mine for forty years. Very satisfied. I just don’t know how this particular scope handles recoil. It has the options I’m looking for for longer range hunting.

    I put it on an AR 10 in 6.5 Creedmoor, ant it is fantastic from the bench. I eventually want to use it for hunting pigs. Right now, I had rotator cuff surgery so I'm going to have to wait a few months to be able to carry a 10 lbs. rifle and scope combo on the field.

    Looking forward to see how the glass looks and how it tracks. Please don’t do the typical 2/3 mills up. Right. Down. Left. Up. Most scopes do decent but the true test is on the upper end to max travel scopes have a hard time doing that due to reaching max spring stretch. I’m sure you’ll come up with a good way to test tracking. Good video. This will prob be my next purchase if it Fares well.

      I can tell you that we went from shooting it on a 22 doing nrl22 courses to putting it on a 308 and taking it out to 1050 yards. we dialed the elevation to the max and still had to hold over on the reticle 3 mil. and it did just fine.

      You prolly have one by now... I think the glass is fantastic. It's even more amazing for the price. It tracks really well and the detents are deliciously definitive. I love the huge eye box that stays the same size throughout the magnification range. Bushnell surprised me with this one.

    What mount is the best for this particular scope?

    • @MrBryanJollie
      @MrBryanJollie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly it would depend on the gun. If it was an ar style rifle I would say a one piece offset mount. On a bolt rifle definitely a good set of rings.

    Air rifle rated?

    • @MrBryanJollie
      @MrBryanJollie 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. We shot it on 22, 223, and 308. An air rifle shouldn’t be an issue.

      Thank you.
      There’s a reason why some scopes are air rifle rated and some not- has to do with different forces acting on a scope- some air rifles cause some scopes to fall apart, others not.
      That’s why I was looking for a knowledgeable, authoritative response.

      Thank you for your input. We silly air gunners would appreciate being made aware of your credentials, such as a degree in mechanical engineering, or, at the very least, how many years have you experienced shooting scoped firearms and airguns, and whether or not you are a professional gunsmith.
