I feel like each of them are reflecting on their journey in the rap game from their own personal perspective, but each perspective is a different stage of the same journey. Taj starts it off from the perspective of one who has just started to see success and he's starting to wonder what success really looks like and if it will change him. Then Ras comes in from an earlier stage of the journey. He's just starting and he's evaluating why he's really getting into the game. He wants love and he understands that being a succes can be a double-edged sword. It can bring women, but quantity is NOT quality. He can get women through the game but is he really willing to show the vulnerability that love requires. Then here comes Eric. The married man. He's comes from the perspective of the one who has been established. He's pleased. He's comfortable and now he's grateful. Finally there's Rio who's coming from the perspective of the one who's just starting and dreaming of the potential that this game can bring, but still close enough to his roots, his upbringing to actively remember and reflect on it, and use it as motivation. All of these perspectives are about their relationships, not just with the ladies or their families, but also with the music. This is truly high art.
"The only things I would have changed IS being broke". If he made 'things' plural to include the bars that followed that, he would have said "are being broke, losing hope..." I think he did that intentionally to make broke a double for broke, as in lack of money, and broken. Rio gets counted out a lot as one of the strong lyricists of Coast Contra, but if you really take a close look, he's a monster. Great reaction!
Rio is so important. For all the immigrant and third culture kids around the world. And while he's not the loudest in the group, I think he's actually often the most thoughtful, measured and precise verses
I too always has to remind people how to tell the twins apart by the specific attributes and style of lyrics.. It’s easy and obvious to me by now after watching all their content to realize which is which 😉 ..To me Taj 🧑🏾🦲seems like he is the first born twin than Ras🧑🏾🦱 emerged from the whom next.. I was very shocked to hear Mama TEEDRA with a Currensy ft on the first song I heard from her the other day..I decided to actually go check her out because I’m already very familiar with POPs (RAS KASS) for decades now but I didn’t remember ever hearing Teedra Moses.. So it was only right to go catch a vibe to her music and a vibe it was.. she’s a beautiful Talent.. Shoutout to the Whole Coast Contra Family Household🙌🏽

You need more potter man he’s got too many bangers of all different styles, “Toy Story” is a great story you can full imagine it start to finish. “Purpose” is a banger and has some good messages for the young people involved in the streets. “Lemon pepper” is just a banger and “Hungry little fucker” is another.
