These tricks are what I have learned in years from other amazing simmers out there and also while playing in-game and I want to share these cool ideas with you guys.

There are two types of counters in game, one that the simmers can sitt by and eat, that one you can shrink, the other counter you cant ❤️🤣 i forgot to mention that sorry 😐 😅

I wish I had talent when it comes to building, the things I struggle with the most are the layout and the roof. No matter what I do, the roof looks plain and boring, or I end up with six squared rooms connected to a hallway. Could you do a video on how you come up with your ideas for these kind of things?
Lucy Autumncamp try making a house you know in real life to start out, might take time but it will get you started :)
I use to have trouble with that too. The best thing you could do is imagine yourself in the house your building, what type of hallway with rooms connected would you wanna see everyday. It’s hard but you can also play around with it, tear walls down build them, if it doesn’t look right do it again just differently it takes time an patients it don’t happen in 5 minutes it take majority of people like a hour or so to get a decent layout don’t let these speed builds fool you😂 the layout is my biggest downfall but with time it always ties together.
I just look up floorplans and make them in the game. It feels good to see the finished product when its all decorated

You'll have to use your imagination what is your dream home? Think about it. Build houses while using your imagination
With the bathtub and half wall you can also put a spandrel over the half wall and add a curtain of choice and it makes it look so cute! I wish TH-cam would let me post a picture of what I'm talking about lol

I did the same thing (not with half walls though) with a bed in a 3x2 room inside of a bedroom and it looked really cozy :)

Tips: USE DEBUG ITEMS
Sadly when I use that my game glitches and I can’t bring the walls down (like how you can see inside the house). It’s so annoying.

I'm new too! My kids have been trying to get me to download it for a while, because I enjoy designing. I would watch my son play and we would go back and forth on ideas. All four of my kids play and they all range in ages 10-21. So, I finally gave it a go and it gets my creativity flowing. Now we just need to convince my husband to jump on board!😂

Hello there! Just a quick question: after adjusting the fridge, what's the key you used to move the objects to a "higher" place? Like you did on top of the fridge!

When I try to place the kitchen cabinets backwards I can't place them on the floor, they "hover" over the ground. Does somebody know how to fix this? I know how to use the ALT-Key and also have all the cheats on.

@@miggydelarosa I found it out. It does not work on the highest wall height. Just use the lowest one and they will perfectly fit so they touch the ceiling and the floor. Also there is a mod called TOOL mod which could help with this.

Edits: the alt key is the control key on most of your keyboards. Also, press the 9 key to make objects rise and the 0 key to make them go down.

Xbox: press both triggers + up/down.

how far does the footprint need to be from the cabinet so the fridge works? I've been struggling with it a lot

How do you move your objects up and down? I use the cheats and I tried everything but the only thing I achieved was to move the objects to another floor.
press 9 to move up and press 0 to move down
And then alt to move it how you want
Alt works but 0 and 9 don't work on my computer.
Elisavet Mergiali try to type in both testingcheats true and then bb.moveobjects on. It should work, But some objects (very few) cannot be moved up or down :/

how do you rotate the items in any direction you want? like i know the 4 normal directions but how did he do the items on top of the fridge by the drag rotate?
if you have a computer then use your keyboard number 9 to raise an object and 0 to lower an object. to rotate an object use the comma or period keys
MalinDesigns thanks sm girl. but at 5:10, you rotated an object by a dragging type and i tried that with the , and . but they just went in the average directions. idk how to explain it haha

Great tips! I don't understand why you need the red shelf and can't just place objects in the air or use one of the shelves from the game?
Paulina Waszak some objects dosent go automatically to the regular shelfs. Thats why this red shelf is so good, and it also makes that the objects dosent fly Over the regular shelf.

if you want to come to the debug menu make sure you write the cheats in the right order. Write first: bb.showhiddenobjects press enter then you write bb.showliveeditobjects press enter and then you go to that little search box and write DEBUG

Hey love ur videos🤗 hopefully you will see this because I couldn’t find any info about it. I can’t make objects bigger or smaller I do exactly what I’m supposed to do but it doesn’t work my perspective just goes away from the building that I am working on. It’s really annoying because I love to build but it’s been a problem for long, I’ve even bought a new keyboard but still have the same issue, hopefully you’ll see this and you’ll understand what I’m taking about.
