    Howdy and Welcome Back! This is Matt and I love turning trash into treasure. What we do here is take Nacho Stuff and turn it into cash. You see, many people have abandoned all kinds of random treasures and toss them into the trash. We take these lost valuables and figure out a way to make a buck from them. Sometimes it is simply reselling through Facebook marketplace or eBay and other times we might just scrap it. Either way, we are turning free stuff into cash and I think that is pretty cool and addictive. I prefer the curbside scene but occasionally find myself in a dumpster or two. Join me as I try to turn nothing into something.

    I mostly consider myself a scrapper or repurposer of things that people have decided to discard. Some call it picking while others consider it a true treasure hunt. But at the end of the day, like most scrappers, I am trying to reduce our waste while lining my pockets a little in the process. Each piece of scrap metal, item of curbside treasure or piece of dumpster loot means one less piece going into our landfills and that makes me happy. The fact that I can get paid for the effort is icing on the cake. Be sure to subscribe to stay up to date with my latest hunt and possible cool finds.

    See you don't organize it you don't pack it in there right then you become you come across a refrigerator or stove or a dishwasher and then you just throw it on top here I got a suggestion for you scrap go get some scrap for 2 days take it home unload it then take one day and load the trailer and see how much of all that you can get on a trailer

    • @nachostuff
      @nachostuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Starting with a pile of scrap - I could fit probably a week worth of scrap in my trailer. Thats just not how it comes at you on a daily basis. That being said - sloppy or not - I have never left behind something that I wanted. My trailer is big enough to make up for disorganization. I also go to the yard everyday - people that scrap multiple days for a single load do not have that luxury - I do.

    By the way u can take tires with metal wheels also bc the scrap yard would take them bc cars come in with tires on them u could have taken the 3 metal wheels to scrap yard with the tires on them u can tell ur not a real scrapper

    • @montana882
      @montana882 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm pretty sure scrapyards like getting 2 tons or more of scrap in one car and deal with the tires on them. Matt is an excellent scrapper! A bit messy, but we support him! 😊

    • @nachostuff
      @nachostuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can take as many tires as you want to the yard. You are just deducted 50 pounds for each one you bring in. If I brought those 4 tires in they would take 200 pounds off my load. They probably weighed 200 pounds or less. Therefore I make nothing or loss money by bringing them. The cars also have that same 50 pounds deducted for each tire. Some guys bring them in without tires and some don't worry about the lost weight

    Also don't waste your time on crap that's not worth anything. Plastic office trailers or not worth anything. Fiber optics or worth anything. Get your old lady involved or set up an online sell and things that are not open you will find them and dumpsters. Look up the prices online sell them for half or three-quarters off. Sell them online or in yard sales. Some cities have more than one scrap yard find out which one gives you the best price for each item. Go to that scrap yard for each different item. You're right out of there with $250 to $300 each time. Don't use up all your time on just strap. Organize yourself on Specialties. Number one wire number two wires. Copper Brass Motors batteries have it all sectioned out into different totes to where they don't have to do a thing clean up your metal to make more money do it yourself so they don't have to make that money. All it cost you is time. Get your kids involved it's free labor. That's what chores are for. I want to live under your roof then clean that metal strip them wires.

    • @nachostuff
      @nachostuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do many of those things. And I think I use my time pretty wisely. Most the yards here are pretty much the same. Some have a better price on some things and others on others. You just have to learn the tricks of the trade.

  • @rickhamons6710

    How do you get away with dumping all that plastic and all the other stuff that has no metal on it or very little metal most scrap yards dock or won’t even let that stuff off the truck that’s just ripping the scrap yard off you seem to do a lot of that

    • @nachostuff
      @nachostuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      i bring what they allow. I have always asked what they take and what they don't take. if they take it - I bring it. Every yard is different - my yard is very flexible,
