You two are exactly the kind of people that should be raising children. Thank you for sharing this part of your lives with us. It makes me feel so good!
Getting in the habit of reading to your son at bedtime is the easiest way to start a routine at night. And reading to him at any other time is terrific! He'll graduate from university next year!
We haven’t read to him at bedtime yet because we are very lucky he falls asleep straight away!!! But some have said we should still anyway so we are going to start doing that 🥰
Reading and talking to your babies gives them the best start to education. Reading exposes them to broad vocabulary, helps them learn problem solving and understand concepts of maths and science (colour, shape, measurement, time, environments, animals, weather etc). Reading is PROVEN to be an indicator of higher academic achievement and success in social relationships. Babies understand more than we realise. The routine, the comfort, the contact with dad, the time…. It is so special. Read and speak in bath languages, it dies NOT confuse a child…. They are capable to learn two languages from birth.
@@mytinyestateyou can include reading as part of the play routine too. Even tummy time, have a book (board book… hard pages) that will stand up by itself. Then talk and point to things in the book. I’m now a grandma but I read to our babies every day, they are gorgeous memories to create.
@@mytinyestate I love watching kids with messy play - sand, water, gardening, stones, shells and dinosaurs are just a few of the types of play I introduced to my children ❤️
I’m so happy for you both! Danteo is gorgeous. Don’t worry about forgetting the baby milk. I once left my daughter in Sainsbury’s! Made it out of the car park before I remembered! She survived. Saskia is 29 now. Take care darlings. Charlotte x
Baby like Daddys has expensive and aesthetically beautiful taste! You always need to take fruit off trees to get good fruit, if all is left on then fruit will lack flavor. Your gardens are beautiful! So much work, it is good the two of you to help each other, and soon a third set of helping hands! Little ones grow up so fast! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
Just love you two….now three……..you have a wonderful relationship and this now includes your beautiful son. I love your taste and style in your beautiful home. Dante’s will thrive surrounded by your love for him and each other.
@@mytinyestate Congratulations to you both on the new addition to your family. I am sure it's hard to put into words how much you love Danteo, and I know he will realize as he gets older how lucky he is to have such great parents.
Danteo is gorgeous, congratulations again to you both. We read to our daughter since birth and she has always loved stories and reading herself (nearly 10 now) she’s always had a great way with words as well, it’s great bonding as well at bedtime and relaxing. Enjoy ❤
I read to our daughters from birth until they wanted to read on their own. Now, I read to our grandchildren. As a teacher, I know that sharing the love of reading makes children keen to learn, opens their minds to a world bigger than their own and encourages lifelong. Danteo is off to a great start. Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
If you give them the joy of reading you give them a gift for life. And once they start school, if they can read …they don’t just enjoy reading books… they will be able to read maths/science/geography questions and information etc too. it’s a gift that keeps giving. But with that said… don’t panic if they don’t immediately take to reading… it will come when they are ready. Don’t pressure them…they’ll be learning all sorts of other skills in the meantime. Listening skills, understanding the pictures, comprehension, how to behave when reading (page turning/sitting and listening and asking questions). And of course the bonding time between child and parent when reading is priceless. Encourage them and let them to go at their pace…make the experience a positive, loving one. X
I had to smile when you said it’s hard to get work done with a baby……being a Mom of 2 I saw it coming. It’s hard to believe how much time a baby consumes. It’s all worth it. Just breath…..
Well, gear up, with a precious little soul, you will be giving him all that you can for (let's see) about 18 years +. There is nothing greater in the whole world. Wonderful job, and remember to enjoy even the difficult times. They are all worth it.
That response b/w baby & adult is called the "serve & return" response and is so essential for bonding & for baby's brain development (as per your comment when sharing a book). Please read to him everyday, even at this little stage of his life. So wonderful to witness your loving nurturing of your precious bubba. Enjoy!
I’m loving seeing you thriving as a family already just like your beautiful gardens. Writing his story and milestones will be such a wonderful gift for you all. ❤
@mytinyestate each garden you have can incorporate a little play area, next spring Donteo can have a large playpen you can move into each area, by autumn he will be exploring and you will need eyes in the back of your heads 😀 xxx

We see you both have the "baby sway" down pat! isn't it amazing --the gentle rocking / swaying when standing, even when talking to another adult--it just comes natural! What lovely parents you both are.
I was a head gardener at a private estate, what we did was create a master list that we called a parking lot! Once a month we would update this list by walking around the estate gardens and either creating a new list or add to the old one. Once a week the owners and I would pull from the main parking lot to create a list of things that need or we wanted to get done in the garden that week. Depending on the time of year or if we were opening the house and gardens for tours or many other things! Gardens will always keep you busy :)
It's so amazing watching you both on your journey with your beautiful baby .Loving the House & the Gardens look incredible,so good at everything you turn your hands to & baby in toe love it .Truly insperational . 🙂💜🌱🌼🌹🌳🌾🍐🍎🍒🍓🥬
Just pick a room and stay there with Danteo . You could get an actual bassinet which is bigger than the basket and that way you can have right by the bed. The first 4 weeks are exhausting. I’m so happy for you he’s so adorable. Look forward to more videos of Danteo.
Now, I love tuesday as a new episode coming...is it sign of addiction 😂😂 Actually it's pure joy and happiness !! Nice to see you along with Danteo in the garden etc...

I laughed out loud when Borja said he Gogled "can we die from jet lag"....I totally relate.😅 I often think Danteo has a story book come to life to play in as he grows up. And so many places for hide and seek! I think of you all often and fondly. ❤
Welcome to parenthood! The best rule of thumb is to spend time with your son. Let him hang around (safely) as you work. The baby wants to be around you too. Don't worry, you will find your family-work rhythm. You are great parents!
Thank you both for sharing your journey as new parents. When Borja said he loved Danteo before he was born melted my heart and when Dean said that Danteo was making baby sounds while he was reading ti him, oh the tears of joy welled up. Can’t wait to see what’s next, we all know that reno’s are going to take longer and I for one promise to be patient.
So glad to hear you made it home safely. I hope everyone here in America treated you well. You will find a routine and rhythm. Thank you so much for sharing.
You need straight hydrangea grandiflora Annabelle always has big and heavy heads. You can also easily increase the plants you have by layering them. With the yew hedge by the greenhouse, it’s a good idea to cut it eight inches lower than the ultimate height. This means you will have a nice fluffy hedge top not a twiggy looking one.
Congratulations on your gorgeous son's safe arrival 🎉 I really enjoy watching your projects and adventures. Wishing your new family wonderful adventures now and into the future ❤
So nice to see you both enjoy parenting and still taking care of the garden with the little one enjoying the fresh air outdoors. Lots of love from South Africa
We missed you! So nice to have you back! Pretty sure I love your gardens more than you do! 😂 Danteo will absorb all the skills from you both and be an absolute genius renovator in the future! Chamomile tea at night and lavender oil on your pillow should help with sleep. 😊
you too deserve everything you have. So happy for all of you. A lucky little boy. Reading to him is the best. He'll love reading and it will help him be a good speaker. Greetings from Canada . So love your property. Those hydrangeas made me drool. My fav.
That little one looks so good on both of you. You can see the joy in your eyes. I am a grandmother of nine and a part time mother to two of them. I still struggle to get my timing right and I have been doing it for 40 years 😁
Hi there You talked about it being hard to get rid of the garden waste, maybe buy a smallish but not to small, chipper! Use the mulch on all your gardens. Cheers from Australia
You Dads are so lucky to have such a good little soul. You seem to be in a routine already all 3of you. Best wishes for an extremely happy life to you all. ❤️💙❤️
Thank you for sharing your journey. I am really enjoying the restoration process but the peak into your lives with your adorable son just makes it better!
Awwww...so excited for you guys as you expand your family! It is so wonderful you live in a time when you can make this happen! I wish you years and years of happy adventures together as a family....Congratulations!
First, congratulations on your lovely child. After losing you from HGTV, I'm so happy to discover your videos. Seeing you become a family is more special than seeing you restore the estate, but both are wonderful to share and love. Best wishes from this soon to be great-grandmother (Nana the Great). Also, if you come back to the US, join us in the Seattle area. It has the UK climate with a unique American vibe.
You guys will never have to worry about saying "shhh the baby is sleeping" because he'll be so used to sleeping through you talking through your videos! Good on you guys❤
Congrats on making it safely home with your baby! Relax, breathe and enjoy this time. It goes by far too quickly! He is your lifelong project. Everything else will get done when it gets done. The prize is your boy. Keep refocusing your eyes there. Raising a fine human is more important than any other project. 👨❤️👨
How about either making some raised brick planters like you have for the hydrangeas, close but not touching the wall or getting a few really nice very large pots and place along wall for planted vines . That way they'll have soil to really grow in and close enough to climb onto the wall.
Glad everything is going well. The garden is looking amazing, may I suggest you get a volunteer garden crew. There are lots of older people retired but love to potter and do gardening. Someone to prune roses, hedges, weeding, mowing, painting.. pick one to coordinate, im sure there would be a lovely small team who can meet, garden, and have a cuppa and socialise. Bathroom first 😊 planter boxes against wall, instead of digging
You both are amazing! Starting as you mean to go on, having him with you as you work and travel is such a greta way to go. Thanks for continuing to share!
I am so thankful that you are sharing your experiences with us. My Mother and I watched Saving The Manor twice. Now she watches your vlogs with me. We are always impatient for the next video.
I read to my son every night from birth to 12yo. It only stopped when we went on holiday and I forgot to pack the book we were currently reading. When we got back he decided he did not want to continue but he did take up doing it himself before bed (he already read at othertimesoftheday). When he'd moved on from early childhood books I decided to read him the older classics children's books that are fabulous stories but the 'older' English and style of writing can be challenging for young readers. He loved them.
Hi Dean & Borja, I found myself some-what distracted, while watching the video today by a small baby,Danteo 😍he’s absolutely, adorable! Who doesn’t love a new born baby ! I think you both deserve a well earned break, just to enjoy some time together! 🥰

I ❤ it when you 2 are laughing together 🎉 . Thank you for sharing your stories ! Awesome video. (:😊
Ahhh thanks 🥰
That little one looks so good on both of you. You can see the joy in your eyes. I am a grandmother of nine and a part time mother to two of them. I still struggle to get my timing right and I have been doing it for 40 years 😁
Aww yes , well we are finding what have to adapt depending on the day 😬😆
Danteo is gorgeous❤❤❤❤
Thank you 🥰
Hi there
You talked about it being hard to get rid of the garden waste, maybe buy a smallish but not to small, chipper! Use the mulch on all your gardens.
Cheers from Australia
We had a chipper but you really need an industrial one to but super efficient with time!
You Dads are so lucky to have such a good little soul. You seem to be in a routine already all 3of you. Best wishes for an extremely happy life to you all. ❤️💙❤️
Awww yay thank you 🥰
You two ar such wonderful dad's. What a lucky little boy Danteo is. I look forward to watching as he grows and develops into such a loved child ❤
Aww thank you 🥰
Danteo is gorgeous ❤
Aww thanks
Dante’o is going to have the BEST playground growing up!
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for sharing your journey. I am really enjoying the restoration process but the peak into your lives with your adorable son just makes it better!
Thank you so much!
You guys are sooo cute together 🥺🥺 pls take care of Danteo
Aww thanks 🥰
Awwww...so excited for you guys as you expand your family! It is so wonderful you live in a time when you can make this happen! I wish you years and years of happy adventures together as a family....Congratulations!
Thank you!! 💙💙
Aww thank you so much 😊❤️
Definitely read to your baby as much as you can and he will grow up knowing what books are and what "doors" they can open!
Oh most definitely
You guys will never have to worry about saying "shhh the baby is sleeping" because he'll be so used to sleeping through you talking through your videos! Good on you guys❤
Haha that’s very true haha
Congrats on making it safely home with your baby! Relax, breathe and enjoy this time. It goes by far too quickly! He is your lifelong project. Everything else will get done when it gets done. The prize is your boy. Keep refocusing your eyes there. Raising a fine human is more important than any other project. 👨❤️👨
Totally agree that’s our main and most important project right now 🥰
How about either making some raised brick planters like you have for the hydrangeas, close but not touching the wall or getting a few really nice very large pots and place along wall for planted vines .
That way they'll have soil to really grow in and close enough to climb onto the wall.
I know but you know when you have an idea then it becomes a full scale big job hahaha
Yes I know we really must look into that … it’s a great garden to ponder around 🥰
You both are amazing! Starting as you mean to go on, having him with you as you work and travel is such a greta way to go. Thanks for continuing to share!
Aww definitely he’s got to be immersed with what we get up to 🥰
When Danteo is with you outside, you might consider draping a netting over the pram to keep flying bugs out. He’s a beautiful little boy.
Yes ! That was the first recording when we got home and I was like I don’t trust the bugs hahaha so we got one
So lovely to see the joy you feel with being Danteo’s parents.
So much so 🥰
I am so thankful that you are sharing your experiences with us. My Mother and I watched Saving The Manor twice. Now she watches your vlogs with me. We are always impatient for the next video.
Ahh love that 🥰🥰🥰
I read to my son every night from birth to 12yo.
Ahh that’s so interesting yes we are reading to him but not at set times at the minute we need to create that as part of his routine 🥰
Hi Dean & Borja, I found myself some-what distracted, while watching the video today by a small baby,Danteo 😍he’s absolutely, adorable! Who doesn’t love a new born baby !
