I have a green PSQ. I love the gold ribbons. Wish they’d kept those instead of going to green ribbons. It’s a nice contrast.

Quentel is my FAVOURITE layout. 2 cols. All notes and references at bottom. I can read w a magnifying glass. But print of main text w font and spacing is easy to read.

It’s 8.5 font. I bought a dark green one and suppose to arrive tomorrow. 💕

Chris G I expected to really like it but I really love it! It is perfect for reading in bed, it’s so easy to hold up without getting fatigued arms. It’s so soft and beautiful and I’m glad I got the ark green.

The Schuyler PSQ is a nice bible, but after you've filled up the lined note pages at the back, what then? I'd rather have a good concordance at the rear of my bible and buy a separate journal for note taking. Give me the Cambridge Pitt Minion anytime. Also, Cambridge maps are better than Schuyler's as they don't run into the gutter like Schuyler maps do.

Guy Montag I agree. I love my Pitt Minion! It’s my everyday carry bible. I’ve got a Cambridge wide margin and love the note paper in the back of that Bible. I’ve used it for certain written prayers and answered prayers. I feel like the PSQ note paper would be better off with daily prayers or creeds and confessions rather then notes. What do you think?

Chris G I'm one of those people that are reluctant to put down my thoughts on paper. Why? I'm not quite sure. Perhaps it's because I fear someone will get an insight into my thoughts and feelings, or perhaps I think my opinions today may not be my opinions tomorrow. Who knows? I possess five Schuyler bibles - one full size Canterbury, two full size Quentels (NKJV & NIV), and two PSQ's - again both NKJV and NIV. I do enjoy reading my Schuyler's in my lap at home, but there is an exquisite satisfaction in bringing both of my Pitt Minions (yes, you guessed it - NKJV and NIV) to church and Sabbath School because of their compact size and completeness. Admittedly, the 6.75 font is small, but I find that if I am in adequate light, the small font is no problem for me at all - even though I am rapidly approaching my threescore and ten! If I could have my wish, it would be that Cambridge would publish the Pitt Minion in verse-by-verse format for easier reading, or at least print the verse numbers in bold to help in locating them for old guys like me. God bless!

I understand some people do not like writing in bibles. But at the same time, I think that lined paper would be more used than a concordance. Idk what other translations have, but with the ESV bible app all you have to do is search for the word you are looking for in the search bar and all the times that word occurs in the Bible come up. Small words like ‘the’ and ‘as’ do not work but bigger words do. Literally next to no need for a concordance in bibles nowadays.

@@nathanhopp1136 I guess I'm just old-fashioned, but if you've got a Bible app and concordance on your smart device (phone, tablet, laptop) then why purchase a traditionally bound Bible in the first place? I see a number of people in my church using iPhones and iPads to follow the sermon, but I prefer the feel and smell of paper, ink, and leather. As I said, I guess I'm just an old fogey!

I have the newer thinner version of the Schuyler Quentel, the leather over board Canterbury, and 3 study bibles. In the past, I’ve always read with my bible laid out on my desk. Lately, I’ve found that I’ve been preferring to read in my rocker holding my bible up in front of me. I want to buy a hand sized bible for that use. I don’t need a “carry bible,” as I never take my bible anywhere it seems (I use my phone app). I want the hand sized bible simply for readability holding it up and reading. I would love to add a Cambridge to my collection, and I’ve been wanting a single column lay out too. I’m concerned a little about the thickness of the Clarion, and thinking the PSQ may suite my needs better because it is a little less bulky. I wouldn’t mind adding an imperial blue psq to my collection. I’ve never seen either in person. Which would you get if you were me? Thanks,

Hey brother! :) Thanks for commenting. I think compact Bibles are a great option for the particular way your wanting to read! Cambridges are so far my favorite Bible publisher (Right now I'm using the Cambridge Topaz). As far as the Clarion goes, here is a link to my full review on that Bibe: th-cam.com/video/EXcZCaExhCk/w-d-xo.html
The Clarion is a fantastic single column layout Bible. It is just about as thick as the thinner version of the Quentel (Maybe .2 inches thicker) But it is hand sized. If I were you, I would go with the Cambridge Clarion. The thickness really isn't too bad in the hands and the format is absolutely beautiful and made for reading! :)
I have a review of the Quentel in Imperial Blue on my channel if you wanted to check out the goatskin on that one :) th-cam.com/video/EXcZCaExhCk/w-d-xo.html

I like it. I really like the references and translation notes being put next to the line that they referencing. It’s actually smaller than I thought it would be.
