Here we go! Your next 20 lunch breaks are sorted, courtesy of losing last season of FlounderFest 🤣 Congrats to all the players who chase after getting the best time on all CTGP CTs throughout the years. These records truly deliver after reacting to all of them. I picked up so many strats and I look forward to learning them for my own gameplay. As always, thank you to Mr. Bean, Chadderz, everyone who helps maintain CTGP and all the talented CT creators in the community. And yes, a few days later I finally learned how to successfully solve my first Rubik’s cube. 😂
Hi, creator of Windy Whirl here! Making a CT is a tremendous amount of work and I don't know if I'll ever have it in me to make another one, but I'm always delighted to see that my little track is so appreciated and living its own life in the community. Awesome video!
Another council member here, there’s a lot of extra information I want to share for this video! I'll be adding to this as I get further into the video. 28:46 Ha, so this shouldn’t really be a non-shortcut run. There is actually a tiny hole in the arrows (it’s more noticeable when you’re not driving), and it was meant to be a shortcut for when you’re shocked, but it turns out that if you drift holding full left or right, your hitbox is short enough to just go through those holes. This was used on Sky Grove back when it was in CTGP. That track used to have Honeycoupe be the fastest vehicle before the drifting method was known, as the Honeycoupe hitbox was short enough by default. 31:07 It is off-road! However, it’s Grumble Volcano off-road, so it doesn’t slow you down as much as regular off-road. You’re still able to drift in it because you’re still above 55% base speed (~48.2, notice how Funky is going at 50 in a drift). 1:35:11 You can do that corner cut with Funky/Flame, but it is MUCH harder. Even with Baby Daisy/Bullet Bike, which has an even easier time with that cut, it’s still not free, we tested for a long time and someone barely got it with Baby Daisy. Daisy is absolutely used to make that cut more manageable, which you seemed to realize lap 3. 1:42:24 The water current at the beginning is actually quite fast, fast enough to push you at the cap of 120, so going over the boost panel doesn't do anything. The speedometer CTGP uses is engine speed, and not XZ speed, where it would be more obvious. Same thing happens in Undiscovered Offlimit. 1:45:43 I don’t think the track was scaled down, at least it’s not mentioned in the changelog. Maybe the edges of the road are making it look smaller? 1:47:50 This happens on a lot of tracks, and it’s known. The flickering boost panels happen due to their textures being corrupted, and they flicker when racing or watching a ghost. 1:48:43 Oh boy, this respawn cut. It should have been in the shortcut category, but it's not. It saves roughly .4 or .5 over doing the cut inside the building again. 1:58:00 It's still considered quite hard but I don't even know if it's top 10 anymore. The consensus seems to be that Castle in the Sky is the hardest now, as BKT is only 1.3 seconds faster, and the BKT was set not long after the track's release, so it hasn't even been pushed down. 2:20:08 Yeah, this respawn also should have been a shortcut... Funny because we're not fully sure if it's even faster or not, to the point where it either saves up to .1 or is straight up slower according to a TAS of the track. 2:26:06 Festival Town also has the flickering boost panel glitch. It's a lot more common on older tracks, like this one and Desert Castle Raceway. 2:43:25 Local man amazed by mundane off-road cut. Nah, just teasing, but it is funny how you were amazed by that cut. I'm biased because I was the one who found it to be part of the shroom strategy. :P 2:46:01 That cut is still very much a thing. If everything was coded right, it should be its own shortcut category on the leaderboards. 2:47:40 Garden of Dreams was added Christmas update of 2020. Makes the track even more impressive. 3:00:32 I had the pleasure of doing the expert ghost here, and I gotta say, this is probably my favorite track in the pack. That strat that you just watched is a TF input + early uptrick (you want as much air as you can get here) and midway through the trick you move the control stick from left to down to get more air and a better landing. It saves about .2 over going around normally. Knowing that the BKT essentially used the same strats I did (minus the wallride at the end because I couldn't get that) makes me feel better that I was able to come up with the fastest strats on my own. 3:02:28 What happened here was a lowtrick landing on the wall and into a wheelie. Landing on the wall allows for the trick boost to come out faster so you get more of it. The lowtrick is only faster lap 3 because you want the trick boost to help you realign for the first turn, whereas on lap 3 you just want as much of the boost as possible. If you don't get the lowtrick, the next fastest thing on lap 3 is just not tricking at all. 3:06:03 The Flame Runner BKT is 2:11.552. Funny, because the expert ghost, which is Wario/Flame Runner, is a low 2:14, so it's within that 6 second guess. 3:40:53 This is another shortcut that shouldn't be in non-shortcut but the leaderboards weren't working. Sigh. 3:42:33 Checkpoints extend infinitely vertically, so that's why they were able to finish down there. I would go into a long explanation of the checkpoint system, but I don't have room here. 3:43:29 Doubling back, yeah, those 1:57's should be the shortcut runs. The 1:56.6 is just the same thing you watched driven better. As for the glitch category, that's specifically ultra shortcuts, or runs that don't hit every key checkpoint. Sometimes they're slower, this is a perfect example of that. The ultra is something completely different. 3:59:55 This is yet another shortcut that should not be in non-shortcut. Boshi actually theorized this cut, and I was the first one to pull it off, but I didn't do it nearly as cleanly. The reason this cut is possible is there is just a hole in the invisible walls over that one spot, it's very funny. The hole isn't even normally shaped, there's just two invisible walls that intersect yet leave a hole underneath, and it just happens to land on the platform below. It saves like 4 seconds if done well. That hidden room you talk about lap 2 is the end of the left path. 4:04:42 Yet ANOTHER run that should be in the shortcut category, there were some issues with tracks with split path checkpoints and this happens to be one of them. 4:07:07 Hell Pyramid was removed from CTGP, remade, and readded a while back. This isn't all that recent anymore but it is a "new" version compared to what we had. 4:23:21 Magikruiser did used to have the record, and it still does by 0.8 seconds, but it used a shortcut that I believe skipped the spiral so it was moved to shortcut category. The leaderboards there are still scuffed because there are Flame Runner times in the shortcut category and a Magikruiser time that's in the no-shortcut category. 5:31:17 The left turn has a tree root that you can trick off, the right turn does not. 5:38:47 Funny timing: an update to that track is getting in soon and it's going to make the OoB in the shroomcut much clearer. 5:55:36 He did that strat lap 1 but not lap 2 because it's hard. The strat done lap 2 is significantly safer and easier, though it could be an alignment thing. That being said, this run is outdated and the new BKT does that lap 1 strat all 3 laps. 6:20:42 There was some debate on if that shortcut should be its own separate category or not. I guess it either ended up not happening or this is another shortcut run in a non-shortcut category. I think it's the former, as there was an update planned and the category would be created then. 6:48:14 There is but it's the shortcut category; you go left at the start. It is faster, and the expert uses it, so it's one of only a couple of required shortcut categories for gold stars. 6:49:49 This is another shortcut that should be its own category but isn't. It uses a "glitch" called slow wheelie glitch, which allows you to bypass vertical OoB planes if you go at a specific speed and initiate a wheelie. That's why he bonks into the wall, to be able to go the right speed for the glitch, which is roughly 38-46 but varies. 7:52:34 tarsa129 also helped out with the visuals on Toad's Temple, so shout out to them! 7:57:53 Actually, the reasoning behind that is that shortcut is closed on lap 2. It would actually be faster to do that cut on lap 2 and not lap 1 if it was open because you could just finish to the left and cut off even more. 7:58:57 Twin Peaks advertises itself as home of the ghost cow, and the objective of the ghost cow is to block that 2-shroom cut off lap 3. I found that out the hard way, as it's not clear to people who haven't played the track before. 8:06:15 The shroom is used early so you get the full mushroom boost, as opposed to lots of trickable boost panels that set your speed at 100. 8:06:45 There's a gate that opens up lap 3 for that cut. 8:12:06 This is where key checkpoints come into play! The game only loads the checkpoints in between the key checkpoint ahead of you and the key checkpoint behind you, so while the checkpoints overlap if you look at a checkpoint map, they're oriented in the right way to where only the correct checkpoints are loaded during a race. This is why ultras are possible, as the last key checkpoint is loaded when you're in the starting line checkpoint, and why no lap counts happen, where you leave the checkpoints altogether and the finish line checkpoint isn't loaded. There are also other rules but they're complicated. 8:15:16 Daisy saves a lot of time on these turns as she does take them significantly tighter than Funky. She also gains a lot from there being a plethora of miniturbos each lap. 8:22:54 The paths don't change on Windy Whirl, I guess it's just that the shroomless variant of the ending cut is hard so people don't really go for it. 8:26:42 Yet another run that should be a shortcut category but isn't. I even updated this track to do make that its own category but Bean was unable to make it at that time. It's a wallclip like a lot of ultras and glitches, but you just barely land into a checkpoint further ahead. Manual isn't required for wallclips like that. 8:30:29 The mountain ride was patched out because it saved so much and it interfered with competitive gameplay, as Yoshi Lagoon is a competitive staple.
New comment because I think I hit the character limit, of course it's on the very last track. 8:35:20 This is τ-Cryovolcano (τ as in the Greek letter, cryo as in cryogenic freezing) and its gimmick is that the volcano erupts with ice and causes terrain changes. The water current and grass are all changed to Sherbet Land ice. The BKT uses that extra shroom lap 2 because of this change, where it wouldn't need to shroom first turn lap 3, but interestingly the BKT doesn't use the actual fastest cut, which is using the side of the road at 8:35:26 to gain massive air and skip the halfpipe, but it's jank and not easy to pull off. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask or reach out and I'll try to answer them as best I can, or direct you to someone who can answer them!
Also wanted to mention that, for Daisy Hillside ( 1:30:30 ), the reason that the shroom isn't used on the left canon path is because IIRC, it drops you into the grass. That's why people online will take it -- they usually have triple mushies or a star or bullet, etc.
@@FlyingPhoenix277 there's a video on TH-cam with timestamps showing every WR, but it's like 2 or 3 years old I don't even recognize some of the tracks on that one
Hi! Creator of GBA Luigi Circuit. I love the joy you bring to these reactions and seeing you talk about how each track plays. The fact you even knew the timesave between flamerunner and magi on gba lc is super cool and really does motivate me to make cts for people to dive into. Appreciate the videos and the love!
You did a fantastic job of making GBA Luigi Circuit! I really enjoy playing the track. Was definitely aware of the difference between FR & Magi for the track :) thank you for the support and thank you for putting your own time to make amazing tracks. Looking forward to future ones that you may create!
Nick - as one of the Track Council admins who work with authors constantly and manage new additions, it's truly heartening to see you get so excited about all these tracks. I know that when you were playing them during FF a few weeks ago, you said (perhaps in a classic MKWii-style moment of frustration that only this cruel, beautiful game can provide) that you think most of the tracks in CTGP don't belong in the pack, but I think that your true appreciation of how cool all these tracks are really shines through well in this video. I've always been pretty stauch in my belief that any of CTGP's issues that stem from its tracklist really stem from a few bad eggs having a majority of the negative influence, but I do believe the vast majority of our tracklist is incredible and represents the best of the best from CT Authors. Incredible video, man, you're the best.
I can definitely say I have a new found perspective and appreciation for the current tracks in the pack after sitting down to watch every single track driven in the proper way. I always appreciate the effort that all people involved put in for CTGP, and with this I really look forward to putting some more purposeful time to learn these tracks and actually get all the gold stars finally after all this time :) keep up what all of you are doing, we all (myself included) really appreciate it!
@@NMeade By the time you get them tracks will be removed and then new ones added. Is it really a grind if the progress is constantly always going to be disrupted?
I'm almost 3 hours in, and it's nice to see another Forest Creek enjoyer! This has been super nostalgic so far. Haven't played CTGP in years and it's super interesting seeing all these old tracks still kicking about and the crazy strats that come with them. I'd love to see you watch 200cc or maybe glitch category records. I always find the latter to be super crazy.
I love Forest Creek!! Glad to hear someone else is an enjoyer of it as well :D glad to hear you've had some good nostalgia checking these out after not playing them for that long. After seeing several comments I'm definitely open to putting some time in the future to do both 200cc records for these and their glitch category counterparts and see what they have to offer
@@NMeade Forest Creek and Kinoko Cave were always my go-to picks in CTWW haha. I think for 200cc and glitch, it's fun seeing wacky uninteded shortcuts you never knew existed even if they may not be that optimized. At least that's how I see it. Kart WRs too. Lots of fun ideas to spend eons downloading :)
Well, you'll never lose to Troy on another custom track ever again lol. Thank you so much for this legendary video Nick. This will actually fill up 8.5 lunch breaks for me, they're 1 hour long.
Hey NMeade! Mad props to you for actually making this entire video, I would not have been able to do this at all! I was the discoverer of the path switch strategy on Bowser's Fiery Fortress (3DS Bowser's Castle), and I'm really happy it's used in runs and you got to see it firsthand by yourself!
Thank you! And incredible stuff with finding that path switch, that was so cool when seeing it. I look forward to learning that myself, that makes that section way more fun than just going through the narrow pathway and the split path after. Keep it up and maybe we'll see you discover other strategies!
“Can i just finish this video?” The video: I’m so impressed you actually pulled off making this, so excited to watch this over the course of the next few weeks!
This is actually a great resource. The other video on YT with all the CTGP world records is like 3 or 4 years old, and a lot of the tracks have changed or are just not there anymore. This is an amazing thing you've done, and the veteran commentary makes it even better.
I appreciate the kind words and support. There's really so much that all of these tracks offer after watching every one of them and I'm glad to have been able to run through them, giving my own thoughts and commentary for them that people find engaging and interesting enough to watch!
Ok I’m 2 and a half hours in so far, and can I just say I’m so impressed that you actually went through and occasionally added little noclip demonstrations of parts of the track you’re talking about - this video must have taken an _astronomical_ amount of time to edit!
Thank you! No kidding honestly... took forever LOL but I loved to put the small touches and context for different things to make the viewing experience that much better especially those that go out of their way to watch a significant amount of the video and/or the entire thing
Thanks for the kind words on my tracks :) and nice to see that you learned so many new shortcuts and strats! Very enjoyable video (or should I say movie? :p)
You're welcome! Thank you for the support as always and thank you for making such top tier tracks for so long now. Can't wait to play them some more and really get good at them with time. Looking forward to future tracks that you may create!
8:33:25 Thank you too Nick. I got really sick yesterday and needed something i could bingewatch while at home. I wish you a speedy recovery as well! I can't imagine commentating for hours while being sick. Thank you for your dedication
I appreciate your support, I hope this got you through that period of time. Took me forever to get completely normal but doing much better now, and thankfully we got everything done for this video 😎
7:33:15 Never would I have expected to hear this amount of appreciation from you, Terra Ursae had a lot of personal motivation, I put as much effort into it as I felt I could and I'm glad you enjoy it. My past tracks didn't resonate too well within CTGP, so I'm happy the track that means the most to me gives a positive impression. Thank you for taking the time to review our tracks along with the ghosts Nick, it's much appreciated, even if it was a punishment 🫶
I LOVE your track!! One of my top favorites in all of CTGP and any CT I've ever played. Theming top tier, execution of track design and visual details top tier, all around very impressive. If this track is any indication, you can really make incredible tracks and should try some more creations in the future if you choose to do so, being a very talented CT creator. I look forward to doing some TT sessions down the line on this track :)
28:45 This is actually a very precise strat! You don't go through the wall, you actually go underneath it, which is only possible if you're at a hard right drift while also being completely perpendicular with the wall. The recovery after making it through the wall is also difficult as you have to react very quickly to make the following turn. This is very rare to see done online even at the highest level. Also, very common misconception I see on daisy hills. The left path entering the cannon is always slower (even with shrooms)! This is because the cannon is longer on the right path, so even if you have to take the turn wider you are propelled at cannon speed for a longer period of time. 1:35.00 this is nearly impossible on flame! It can be done, but as a relatively new discovery that this can be done shroomless, its not surprising to see that no one has attempted to make that 3/3 on flame runner yet. The delfino island update kept the track almost the exact same (i.e. the scaling was untouched). The roof cut can be done shroomless (as well as some other creative ways to get over that fence), but using the shroom there remains the fastest. The zippers flickering just kinda happens when viewing TT runs on some tracks. Infernal pipeyard is getting a visual overhaul into ctgp next month! I recommend checking out Inferni Umbra by Echo
That's actually amazing that you're going underneath the wall I would have never guessed LOL thank you for explaining that to me! New found appreciation for that in the record now. I've definitely learned the Daisy Hills meta from your comment and several others now, that reasoning makes perfect sense. Also really interesting to learn how that strat is almost impossible with Funky Flame, I definitely got the impression it'd be much harder after watching that back a few times. Thank you for clarifying Delfino Island as I was pretty confident I wasn't misremembering that being able to be done shroomless, good to know it's still faster overall shrooming. I look forward to the Infernal Pipeyard update! Hopefully the zipper flickering could be intervened in future updates for CTGP. Thank you for all the insight!
FINALLY FINISHED! Thanks for the EPIC amount of content, this has been a treat to come back to every so often over the past several months! So awesome to see the incredible amount of passion, skill, and knowledge this community holds.
my girlfriend just said, are you going to come to bed too, honey? then we can go to sleep. just watch one more video because i'm going to take a shower first. me:
Finally finished watching! This was truly an experience and I loved seeing your reaction to Cryovolcano. The extra editing, even several hours in, does not go unnoticed. Thank you for making this!
Just finished watching this video in parts over a month. It was a pleasure to watch this podcast wardrobe-changing mario kart wii custom track time trial reaction video 🙏🎉 Thanks for all the years i’ve been watching since 2018.
I finally finished it. You weren’t wrong, you filled my lunch breaks for a month. Big props for you, especially as you were ill for the last 30ish tracks!
3:38:43 ayyy its me, yessir! And yes you pronounced the mii name right haha. Really proud of this run, bridge tricks are what make this track so excruciating to play, as the trick KCL is quite thin and bounces like you mentioned can be pretty detrimental. Can go down to a 1:34.1 but for now im satisfied
what an absolute treat! always loved watching your tt breakdowns in the monthly wr updates, but this is a whole other level. hope one day you might feel up for bringing that series back, but in the meantime this is amazing, and I definitely wouldn't mind seeing your 200cc reactions!
7:10:49 I loved hearing you think trains are cool! I too loved the polar express as a child, I remember watching the movie all the time around Christmas. Great Video! I have been watching almost an hour of this video a day for a week now, and I think a 200cc CTTT reaction video would be awesome!
Hey Nick! Wanted to say this earlier but couldn't cuz every time I was watching this video was in breaks between work haha. This is really a treat for me man, I appreciate you so much for the effort you've taken to bring this to us. It's going to take forever for me to watch this so I can only imagine how long it took to make. Really grateful for this, you're an absolute legend brother, thank you so much!
I know this video idea originally started as a joke, but I think this video will be more memorable than any of this season's FF episodes! Can't wait to watch it all!! 😂
I've been waiting for you to choose to make this video. You're so kind to decide to make this reaction. You definitely weren't forced. XDXD But fr, I'm excited for this! My lunchtime is filled for the next 8 years
I have tried to like this video at least once per hour because something has come up to make me want to hit that button. Amazing records! Amazing commentary and insights Nick. Can't wait to see more.
I enjoyed your commentary for this, even when you don’t know the strats for a particular track, you’re able to give entertaining and valuable info about the game Seeing this video also makes me want to try CTGP again, last time I played it I felt like there was a lot of generic circuit tracks, but I’m now seeing there’s a ton of variety
A much needed appreciation video. Ever since my tracks got added to CTGP the amount of toxicity and hostility that has emanated from its playerbase towards them has been really saddening, so it's cool to see someone actually show some love for the CT creation community
Hey Strobenz, just wanna say that a great majority of the player base greatly appreciates and respects the effort you guys put into the creation of these amazing tracks. It doesn't get said enough and the toxicity is more prominent because it isn't said enough. The tracks you make are simply amazing and the effort behind them does not go unrecognized bro, don't let the small number of poopyfaces get you down
I'm sad to hear that you had that reception with getting your tracks within CTGP. Some can be very harsh in numerous aspects and simply failing to realize there's another actual person on the other side of their interactions and doing things for free on their own time for others to enjoy. Always try to stress those points from time to time in videos or streams. People can have their preferences and styles of tracks they like, providing objective, thoughtful constructive criticism is much different than pure toxicity or negativity. Hopefully you still feel motivated to make future tracks/creations and try to give little to no weight to interactions/messages like that which aren't based in anything with positive constructive criticism or feedback. Also, just checked your Wiki and I didn't realize you created Helado Mountain! I really enjoyed that track when it was still in CTGP.
For some reason I saw this and didn't even consider it being the FF punishment because I have literally been wanting a video like this for the past 2 years, thanks nick!
I just now realized what kind of cruel punishment this was... I'm impressed you still pulled it off. Now i got something exciting to watch for the week, thank you❤
As an absolute Mariokart addict I actually finished this in under two working days by watching this while working side by side….Keep up the good work man ! Cheers !!
Amazing! I appreciate the dedication XD I appreciate you going out of your way to watch it in its entirety, more like this coming in the future later on this year.
It took four days of microdosing this video while doing house chores to completely finish it, and it was totally worth it. Thank you for all of your effort from the beginning to the end! :)
I really appreciate you watching the entire video! Really had a blast going through all of these despite it taking so long 😅 I hope you enjoy future ones like this that'll come out in the future.
This is an amazing video Nick! I am facing a lot of Health issues and this video is going to be awesome to get my mind off of the situations that I am going through!
Can relate a lot with going through health issues in the past, can be very draining in all aspects if prolonged for extended periods of time. I hope this has been helpful to be a positive distraction from whatever you are experiencing, and wishing a speedy recovery for your health 🙏🏻
Big express city shortcut that you were confused about - it is not intended, there is a tiny gap between the fence and the floor, its the same as the sky grove ending cut if you remember that. also the flickering boost panels, halfpipes, lava, water textures etc that you see on some tracks is due to texture corruption. This is almost exclusively an issue with older tracks in time trial replays.
Dude this is awesome! Not even gonna lie I didn't even realise this was a flounderfest punishment, I was genuinely happy to see a CT wr video because I can't find them anywhere on youtube!!
what a painful ff punishment for Nick, but such a wonderful feast for the fellas! In all seriousness, this is an awesome video and I'm really excited to watch you react to all these tts over the next couple days! Thanks for the amazing content Nick!
8:25:42 You can do this glitch with Spear auto, carter has a 1:34 with it. Lawrence has the glitch WR on Manual but only because he found a faster setup or something I believe, auto is like a second faster driving wise. It seems like some glitch times got moved to the glitch leaderboard while others like Viroxs time are still on the no-sc leaderboard for whatever reason. Wish theyd fix it.
Nearly at the end of this video and your reaction to strobenz desert illusion is honestly one of the best moments in this video so far for me! Not sure if you’ve been told or found out, but this track is made by strobenz, the same guy who made the original very old track (strobenz desert). I think he took a break from making CTs for a while but came back with some of the most visually impressive CTs ever like this one, but also tau-cryovolcano where the whole track turns to ice half way through (which I assume you’ll react to later in the video but haven’t got there yet!)
Huge props to you for making such a long video, you deserve so much more attention for your dedication to this game! You’ve kept me coming back and I could never complain
After finally watching the entire 8 and a half hours of this video, I can safely say this was a great watch and an incredible feat to have analyzed every single record in here. Great job Nick, I know it was a long ride. Can't wait to see you get back at Troy this season!
Finally finished the video 😅. As a mid div ct main, I learned so much alongside you Nick, so I can assure you that you did not go crazy missing some strats. Thank you for the wonderful video, and I'm certain it will serve as a learning resource for anyone looking to get into cts themselves
Gonna be watching this for the next couple of days still. Currently halfway through the video. Its been a really fun watch so far seeing you react to all these crazy strats. Keep up the amazing videos!
at 8:10:45 you were talking about needing a “well done” counter, but the whole time this video went on all i could think about was how you really needed an “in any event” counter. i had never heard anyone say that phrase before hearing it 45 (!!!) times in this video (according to the transcript and using ctrl+F)
I don't understand how I managed to watch the entire thing already but alas. Took me like seven hours to realise the mini cuts here and there (increasing in frequency towards the end) were you cutting off coughs and sneezes. Crazy that you actually watched the whole thing back yourself to do that and the extra mini overlays etc. after having put so much time into recording. Guess I'll watch the new FF episode next then...
I really appreciate you watching the entire video! Yes, I spent quite a long time manually cutting out probably 95% + of the sneezes/coughs/clearing throats when my last few recording sessions were when I was a lot more sick on those days. If people are willing to invest significant time to watch a video like this I wanted to make sure that was not going to be very distracting, occasional coughs or clearing throat is normal for people but being sick pushed that overboard of course 😅 and yes, adding the extra overlays and other smaller details took their own time, but felt good to put a proper job into my longest video ever. I hope you enjoy future ones like this!
I'm gonna be so real the 200cc strats for a lot of CTs differ GREATLY from their 150cc counterparts so in my opinion it is extremely interesting to compare and contrast the two. I know its a lot to watch and get through so I'm not saying to do it, but if you ever have the time you should definitely do it.
Never been more excited for NMeade to lose a season of flounderfest! An epic video with a crazy runtime, my lunches this week are covered. Thanks for giving us more high quality content!
No way! Epic! I can’t imagine how long this must have taken to prepare for, record, edit and upload. The dedication is insane Nick, major props to you man I thought it was a joke when it was revealed that this was the FF punishment lmao
amazing video im still watching days later bro, some of these WR are insane and bro some cuts i did not know about!, you learn smt new everyday brother lets goo!
1:31:07 so, if you go on the left, you have to shroom out of the grass once you exit the cannon. It can sometimes be useful when you're racing against other players online
Looking forward to see what you think about me and others' bkts, it's definitely interesting for you to be in the ct space, and I'd definitely want to see you go for a bkt one day 🔥
This is absurd lol we got a fun Sunday ahead! 1:48:41 ???? bruh what how much time does that even save? 3:40:50 that entire sequence with double checking the cut/no cut category times was hilarious LOL 4:04:40 that's insane
lets go
Best FlounderFest punishment ever

Punishment for your rival, but a treat for us viewers :)
Very appreciated Troy ❤😁😂

8 AND A HALF HOURS?! Really the biggest FF punishment ever, and I’m here to watch it all!
Hi, creator of Windy Whirl here! Making a CT is a tremendous amount of work and I don't know if I'll ever have it in me to make another one, but I'm always delighted to see that my little track is so appreciated and living its own life in the community. Awesome video!

@@NMeade o/
2:46:01 That cut is still very much a thing.
8:30:29 The mountain ride was patched out because it saved so much and it interfered with competitive gameplay, as Yoshi Lagoon is a competitive staple.
you're goated cobalt
This is gonna be a hell of an epic resource for anyone who wants to learn the fast strats
True but someone gotta do time stamps fr
@@FlyingPhoenix277 there's a video on TH-cam with timestamps showing every WR, but it's like 2 or 3 years old
I don't even recognize some of the tracks on that one

You are the GOAT I love that you included the rubik's cube intermissions and wardrobe changes LMAO
@@ALocalYTUser Why not? Having 4-8 new tracks to grind every couple months sounds like it'd keep it fresh if anything
“Can i just finish this video?”
The video:
I’m so impressed you actually pulled off making this, so excited to watch this over the course of the next few weeks!
WTF!?! You're insane! This video gonna take me weeks to watch but I will watch every second you've earned that!

This is mad! Props for actually making this. Must’ve taken so much time, I can’t even imagine lol
7:33:15
Never would I have expected to hear this amount of appreciation from you, Terra Ursae had a lot of personal motivation, I put as much effort into it as I felt I could and I'm glad you enjoy it.
@@NMeade No worries, thanks for giving CTs some light on your channel!
FINALLY FINISHED! Thanks for the EPIC amount of content, this has been a treat to come back to every so often over the past several months! So awesome to see the incredible amount of passion, skill, and knowledge this community holds.
my girlfriend just said, are you going to come to bed too, honey? then we can go to sleep. just watch one more video because i'm going to take a shower first. me:
4:04:43 The chain of shortcuts after this is WILD, also the “Wait there’s more?” is hilarious 😂

2:38:35 this is the best track in history of the game thank you so much nick
Just finished the full video! Thank you so much, Nick. You've been great company this month (and for many years).
I know this video idea originally started as a joke, but I think this video will be more memorable than any of this season's FF episodes! Can't wait to watch it all!! 😂
I've been waiting for you to choose to make this video. You're so kind to decide to make this reaction. You definitely weren't forced. XDXD
But fr, I'm excited for this! My lunchtime is filled for the next 8 years
Me: looking for a good video to watch while eating
Nick: Drops an EIGHT HOUR VIDEO
Me:”A blessing from the Lord!”
I have tried to like this video at least once per hour because something has come up to make me want to hit that button. Amazing records! Amazing commentary and insights Nick. Can't wait to see more.
2:20:00 this shortcut is so epic. Thanks for putting the time into this video it's so fun to watch!
Possibly the most excited I've been to watch a video on YT in maybe forever! CTs, TTs and commentary from the GOAT!!
I enjoyed your commentary for this, even when you don’t know the strats for a particular track, you’re able to give entertaining and valuable info about the game
Seeing this video also makes me want to try CTGP again, last time I played it I felt like there was a lot of generic circuit tracks, but I’m now seeing there’s a ton of variety
I really appreciate you explaining some specific action the player did like you did on DS Mario Circuit
3:59:50 “so do you go right or left here?”
“both”
For some reason I saw this and didn't even consider it being the FF punishment because I have literally been wanting a video like this for the past 2 years, thanks nick!
I just now realized what kind of cruel punishment this was... I'm impressed you still pulled it off. Now i got something exciting to watch for the week, thank you❤
Nick, this is insane. I have watched one hour, 7 and a half to go
Doctor: You only have 8 hours left to live.
Me: *watching this video*
As an absolute Mariokart addict I actually finished this in under two working days by watching this while working side by side….Keep up the good work man ! Cheers !!
Amazing! I appreciate the dedication XD I appreciate you going out of your way to watch it in its entirety, more like this coming in the future later on this year.
IT HAPPENED, IT FINALLY HAPPENED
How to talk like Nmeade:
"In any event though..."
"That is sick!"
Absolute classics to the NMeade soundboard/glossary of terms XD
It took four days of microdosing this video while doing house chores to completely finish it, and it was totally worth it. Thank you for all of your effort from the beginning to the end! :)
I watched the whole thing. You had the best reactions when the time trailer did crazy strats lol! It was fun watching this video throughout my day!
I really appreciate you watching the entire video! Really had a blast going through all of these despite it taking so long 😅 I hope you enjoy future ones like this that'll come out in the future.
"WHAT!? I never knew that was possible!" - The movie
Nick what the hell have you done to yourself???? 8 and a half hours????? This video is absolutely insane and I can't commend you enough here
what a painful ff punishment for Nick, but such a wonderful feast for the fellas!
Me 6hrs into the video: “I should be close to down now
The video: still has another lord of the rings movie amount of time left
LOL
I’m so excited to watch this over the next couple weeks. Props for putting this together 👏
Huge props to you for making such a long video, you deserve so much more attention for your dedication to this game! You’ve kept me coming back and I could never complain
we love custom track shortcuts *maniacal laughter*
8 days after you dropped it and I just finished the whole thing. GOD DAMN that is dedication. Also I’d be curious about a “in any event” counter
THE VIDEO IS HERE🔥🔥🔥

THANK YOU!! Absolute LEGEND
yes
Finally, finished this monster of a video, great work Nmeade!!
Took a few days to watch the whole vid but it’s worth it! Lots of love Nick ❤
No way! Epic! I can’t imagine how long this must have taken to prepare for, record, edit and upload. The dedication is insane Nick, major props to you man
I thought it was a joke when it was revealed that this was the FF punishment lmao
amazing video im still watching days later bro, some of these WR are insane and bro some cuts i did not know about!, you learn smt new everyday brother lets goo!
Incredible video Nick! Props to you commentating while under the weather as well!
30:58 I assume the only reason that's faster is because he used shroom for the grass cut afterwards, but it really doesn't feel like it should work.
Finally finished watching the full video, it was really interesting to see all the different strats!
I can't believe I just watched an 8 and a half hour video on time trials but I loved it. Great job on this
props to you Nick what a madlad, go hydration nation!
1:31:07 so, if you go on the left, you have to shroom out of the grass once you exit the cannon. It can sometimes be useful when you're racing against other players online
Now this, this is an epic video moment, big ups NMead!
Looking forward to see what you think about me and others' bkts, it's definitely interesting for you to be in the ct space, and I'd definitely want to see you go for a bkt one day 🔥
All of your times are amazing, you’re one of the kings of CTs after watching all of these 😎 would definitely enjoy going for one again down the line!
That Crystal Plains shortcut blew my tiny mind
