You are masterful at beautiful brushwork, Jeannine. My heart is in my mouth watching you blend away your exciting mark-making and amazed at your fearless obliteration of what would please me no end. Thank you for another valuable video.
Thank you so much, Ann! I must admit that it’s still quite scary to do. But the more often I paint over things I like and get a better result, the more confident I get that I can do that again and again
You are amazing. I don’t have the courage to go further when I love one work. And if I did, and it is ruined,it is finished for me. I got so discouraged completely. Love your process ❤
It’s still scary for me! But the more I do it the more confident I get that I can still make a good painting out of it. And if you’re discouraged, put the piece away for a while and look at it with fresh eyes
Jeannine, I'm learning a lot from you and gaining confidence with painting. It's starting to sink into my brain why layers are important and how they bring energy to abstracts. Thank you so very much for sharing your process and thoughts.
Thank you! I’m so happy to hear you are learning from my videos! I don’t think I’d be able to paint without layers. Too much of a commitment to get everything right the first time. And luckily they also add depth in the meantime.
Hi Brice! It's a slow process, so there is often just a little bit of fixing compositions in a lot of my videos. These might help: th-cam.com/video/FltqSbDu8eM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/Ep1bogaEO-Q/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/lDiNpyWw1tg/w-d-xo.html
Greetings from Montreal , Quebec . I truly enjoy the fact that you bring the viewer with you as you try and developpe an idea in vivo ! Your choice of colours are very earthy and the energy and motion of your creation real . I like as well that you take chances ! Thank you for sharing your struggles and discoveries . À bientôt . Are your mixed paints fluid or thick acrylics? When I do the paper wth fluid I end up with a blob 😂 Happy I came across you today because I am in my novice painting rut
I am beginning to understand why layering works. You haveused so many techniques and much products. Do you have an idea of what you are reaching for or just intuitively?
I have a few very vague things in mind that I want to achieve, like having spacious areas paired with energetic marks. But during the process I don't think about that all the time. Also, often I veer off course and try to embrace that.

This is fascinating, I love hearing about any artists process ☺☺
Thanks, Chantelle! A lot of it is just figuring it out as I go along 😊

Jeanine I just loved this video. Your art is fantastic!❤️
Thank you, Kascia! Your comments always make my day 😊
You are so organized! It’s almost disturbing lol!
Your work is amazing!
Haha, I’m glad it’s only ‘almost’ disturbing 😂
Thanks so much Patti
Definitely want to see more completing composition stages. Fixing the messy middle etc

I walk away from my disasters, work on something else and revisit with fresh eyes later.😂
Revisiting with fresh eyes is so powerful. That’s why it takes me so long to finish work
Love watching you work, i learn so much. Thank you
Thanks Melinda!

Hello Steve! Thank you so much, I love sharing my process, especially if I can encourage others! Merci beaucoup
I can’t post a picture but I definitely se a little horse face in the early stages 😊
Haha, interesting!
I hide it in the corner and to make it think about what it’s done! 😉😂 The beauty of working with acrylic is that you can just paint over it.
Lol. Sometimes the paintings deserve to spend some time in the corner

Haha, yes blobs can happen with this 😄. They are a medium body (Daler Rowney System 3), but I dilute them with some water and fluid medium.
