Hej hallå from the north of Sweden! Great series! Love the car and the look! I have a 66 amazon! It has been my daily driver for 10 years and is still going strong!
Great video. I have a 66, 122 that was delivered to me on a forklift from a junkyard. Every expense has been spared making this car roadworthy. It is now and I don’t think I’ve invested $3000 in it Excluding tires and fluids. I had to do some welding And went to a shop class for that. The car is now roadworthy, but not pretty. Used parts used to be cheap. What a great experience. My kind of channel
M41 output shaft seal, search: Volvo 472258 Consider injecting fresh grease into the u-joints with a grease gun while under the car and working on the driveshaft. The same recommendation for any suspension parts (ball joints, tie rods) which are not sealed and have grease nipples. Other trick with replacing the center bearing is to put the driveshaft in the freezer for a couple of hours and heat up the bearing in the oven (150-175 Deg F) before installation.
@@DeanofMachines The alternator is for sure good to go putting out 27 volts. But the compressor is still slow according to the guage. But all the guages are inacurate. Why not the air pressure one too.
Geee, why didn't you order a new appropriate drive shaft bearing and rubber in the first place, this one didn't sound so good either and besides that, its going to be a double job when you decide to fix it up for real????
"For a car that doesn't go anywhere"
Well I know what I'm annoying you to bring to MountainMeet this year.
It would be the one Id want to drive hehehe

Thank you for the kind words! I'd say 3k is about right for this car. We've nearly gotten it to a drivable point though!

Thank you very much!
So frustrating getting wrong parts! Did you decide what to do with the paintwork?
Oh the paint is easy. Its staying as is for a while. No response from the parts seller. We just watched your 945 turbo video. Bummer to see it go.
No more Chewbacca noises! 🎉
Heck yeah borther!!
I fixed a Volvo just yesterday. It was a 1996 A30C 6x6 Haul Truck. I put a new alternator and air compressor for the brake system on it.
If it's fixed it's good to go!!

Wait, did I hear you correctly? It has an overdrive in it? M-41? may have misheard.
Correct. It has the p1800 overdrive. The tail housing on the OD unit is leaking
@@DeanofMachines Wow! guess I missed that in an earlier episode. That's a huge plus!
Ha! that's my kinda style😂. Why use new parts when old do trick🤣.
I'd use them if they would show up!!! LOL

Its all gotta come out in the future. Keep watching!
