    Beautiful! I have to say the vibrator is freaking hilarious and genius at the same time. I wouldn't have thought about that to get the bubbles out.

    Another great video Tabitha and team! Like you, I’ve fiddled with freeze and fuse before but not enough to be very good. You (and others I’ve seen recently) are inspiring me to reconsider it. Though I’ve used an electric toothbrush before, you have me wondering if I should buy my very first vibrator! 😂 When the Amazon package arrives, I’ll tell my wife that Tabitha made me do it. 😁

      Oh, I hope your wife has as good a sense of humor as you do ;) It's always a good laugh when you take it out and start buzzing with it. We all tend to giggle like little girls ( we're not very mature around here). Let me know how your Freeze and Fuse works out. It's such a versatile technique, and I really don't use it enough.

    I love doing freeze and fuse but often forget about it, so thank you.
    Yes I had a good smile and giggle about the cheap vibrator, had to have hubby watch too.
    Have a great Christmas and thank you for everything you do for the glass community.

    Tabitha, I giggled like a middle-schooler when you brought out the vibrator. Then I thought, "THAT, is pretty damn innovative!" LOL! I LOVED that piece, it gorgeous! I have seen freeze and fuse but never fully understood the process as it made no sense to me because I knew it would make steam in your kiln which I thought would ruin your kiln. Clearly I never watched a complete video! I am in my late 50's, my grandmother who was old when I was only 5, used to make gorgeous glass figurines, I think they were actually delicate ceramic. My point is that she used to make these beautiful dancing ladies in these incredible lace dresses, and that is what the freeze and fuse reminded me of. Anyway, thank you as always for being so down to earth and a real girl, with a hint of maverick thrown in! I love your creativity! 💖😊👍

    I recently wanted to try this technique, never have before. Saw that very mold for the largest heart (with all the tiny flowers on it) and thought how pretty that would be, but was scared to try it because it looked possibly too deep. So glad to see that it worked! You've given me courage to try! Such a beautiful project! 😍

    I just love this video and have watched it a few times. I have bought all the molds and my flowers come out nice BUT I can't seem to get a good red. What powder is the large rose heart?

    • @TabithasGlassEmporium
      @TabithasGlassEmporium  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. I know the color can be tricky with the Freeze and Fuse. The rose heart was just Red Opal 0124. I try to use lighter colors as they will go slightly darker. Happy fusing!

    HiTabitha, I love your tutorials, thank you. Because this is so labour intensive, how do you go about pricing something like this? In another life I was a florist and the ‘rule’ was 1/3 product, 1/3 studio incidentals, and 1/3 time. I try to apply this now, but what do you use as the criteria….if you don’t mind me asking.

  • @rjkrane

    I finally was able to get my flowers to not be a blob but they are dull, does anyone know why? Tabitha's are so shinny.

    • @TabithasGlassEmporium
      @TabithasGlassEmporium  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is difficult to say what the issue is, but I would assume you need to fire the flower on a bit higher temperature. You just have to experiment, as all the firing schedules are so kiln dependent.

    Hi Tabitha. You are AWESOME. Ilove learning from you. Quick question, if I may. Does the firing schedule for this technique work with 96 COE also. Thank you so much for all you share😊

    • @TabithasGlassEmporium
      @TabithasGlassEmporium  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My main experience creating art is with Bullseye glass, so unfortunately I don't know the firing schedules for 96COE. I would suggest joining Freeze and Fuse Facebook groups. You will get much more details on the technique and the firing schedules for 96COE glass.

    When you draw the heart on the glass, what kind of marker do you use?

    • @TabithasGlassEmporium
      @TabithasGlassEmporium  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Black Sharpie is the best to use for glass, as it will burn off the glass. For cutting it is good to wait for a minute or so the sharpie to dry, and then to top it off with some kind of a lip balm. This way the line will stay on the glass and it will not float away with water.

  • @brucebickel9400

    Love your videos. When filling the candy molds can you use fine frit or does it have to be powder? This is actually Patty not Bruce:) My husband and I share an email.

    • @TabithasGlassEmporium
      @TabithasGlassEmporium  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use a bit of fine frit, but it should be mostly powder. As I said in the video, I'm not an expert in the Freeze and Fuse technique. If you want more info on this, I would recommend you join the Freeze & Fuse Glass Facebook Group. You will find a lot of information on the technique there.
