Yeah, I ordered one and am still waiting as well. Not your problem, don't take any of the heat personally. Also, still waiting on the strat pickup change vid, I remember you saying you changed them out but was unable to find the pickups online.
The issue is that Positive Grid is charging people before the product even ships I've pre ordered guitars before and have never been charged for it till the item ships and I receive tracking info. I understand the complaining and the floods on feeds and video reviews because Positive Grid is not replying and giving enough information on shipping or ETA'S on the amps people have paid for in full. At least stop taking orders till you can get caught up not keep talking peoples money and having them wait months on end. And till keep prompting its as if they're running a ponzi scheme....

@@gosman949 it was a pre-order at the time but arrived within 3 weeks. It’s probably much quicker now. What do I think now? I love it, though it’s advertised features aren’t perfect. The play along system doesn’t work well enough to use nor does the tab feature. However, I don’t care about those anyway. The sounds are awesome (you may want to dial down the bass) and there are many amp options. I was surprised by how good the effects were too. The univibe is my favorite and the reverbs sound fantastic. There are lots of features and knobs to these fx. Especially the reverbs and delay. What’s great is that they’re all using the same interface/knob set up. So you learn one you’ve learned them all. The Bluetooth speaker is really nice as long as you eq your device with lower bass. But I’d rather have to much bass and dial it down than not have enough. One issue I’m having is the Bluetooth dropping in and out. Though this could be my iPad or my room? The price point I can’t comment on. There may be other comparable amps at this price but I wanted a small amp that sounded good. And this fit the bill, plus 40 watts is nothing to laugh at. It can get loud! As an amp I’d give it 4.5/5 stars. If I were to use it as a learning tool I’d give it a 3.5/5. You’ll find easier apps on your phone or tablet for learning. Im guessing future software updates will fix those issues though. Best of luck!
@@michaelsnydermusic if it isn't a good learning tool, then other small amps like the mighty amp may be better and cheaper!? The big selling point for the Spark is the play along system. If that doesn't work and they haven't improved it yet, I say it is a no buy for me.

@@gosman949 also, I should have been more clear. The feature I was referring to is where you come up with a riff and the spark tries to put bass and drums over it so you can play along. That feature works for simple 12 bar blues type stuff. Anything slightly complex and it’s a mess. The other feature where you learn songs is better. I just didn’t care for the way it displayed tab but I don’t do well with playing along with tab. So my opinion isn’t one to trust on that. I will say I’ve played many practice amps and never heard one that sounded so good.

Finally someone showed the feature that will add a dynamic bass and drum track, had to watch so many reviews to find someone who finally did, plus did such a better overall review and demo vs just showing off playing 5 minutes of solo speed metal. Thank you!

I ordered my Spark amp on Jan.30th. Been waiting.....and waiting...….and waiting. I just got a text from FedX on June 19th……….my Spark amp will be here within the next 4 hours ! YES !!!
My order was placed Dec 4. Saw someone the other day who ordered mid Nov, and received his. Hoping mine comes soon. The wait has been pretty bad, but they gave me a code for Bias FX as a ride me over, which was a nice touch.
It's frustrating how all the musicians have got there hands on this amp!! I ordered mine December 14 2019, and still have not received the Spark amp yet!!! They are blowing it with this ridicules waiting period!! I'm happy to see you got your hands on one !!
My thoughts too. It is tone deaf that they hand these out for marketing (nothing against the musician at all, he did great), and make their paying customers wait so long.

I ordered one off the back of this video. I like the idea of an amp with a whole panoply of built in effects and amp models that I can have at my fingertips when i'm just at home jamming away and writing music. Thanks for the really clear and articulate video Bea!
@@gosman949 I bought one and just got it a few hours ago. The bass is very high, especially with the volume turned up. I am kind of disappointed. I always thought guitar rig on the computer with monitors was the best digital sound and this amp in my opinion isn't even as good a biasfx or biasamp. I'm not sure if there's an equalizer after all the effects and amps to remove the bass but it is overpowering.
Thanks Rabea, this is the best run-down of the Spark I've seen yet. Particularly as you've covered all of the features in detail rather than just show a few tones. Seeing the smart jam function is great. I expect to get mine in the next 10 days 🤞(been waiting) and can't wait 🤘

I finally received mine, took 5 months, not complaining (now that I have it ;) .......One thing that could have been great to have was some sort of built-in battery pack to be able to play outside the studio. like a basking amp with the lot. btw man you come across like a sincere humble person and talented, that combination is hard to come by. This unit is totally awesome for the cost. It is a Jam ON machine! Granted I am no pro. I've been playing for 40 yrs and this thing is is one of the top 5 buy's for my guitar playin ever.

I just opened mine today (4-31) and (like all guitarists, I assume) turned it on and started playing. The sound really caught my interest. It wasn’t boxy. It has a beautiful low end without the fizzy high end that modelers are often plagued with. Then I installed the app on my iPhone and connected. I randomly tapped on a jam video and my head nearly exploded. it was so good playing with it. Chord changes and key are right there. Then all the other things you mentioned in your video... this may be the best money I’ve spent on my guitar habit in years. Awesome product!
Great little product. I got back into guitar mid-2020 after 10+ years off and eventually picked up a Spark as an alternative to the old Boss GT3 I was using. It blows the GT3 away in terms of the quality and range of the tones it can produce and I was amazed by how far things had moved on during my time away from guitar. The youngsters starting guitar with this kind of kit available are lucky! Aside from the tones, it's great to be able to hook it up to the computer for recording, to play in music / backing tracks via the app for jamming along with, and also the metronome is really handy. Something I'd say about the amp is that for me it sounds much better when playing through good headphones or using as an audio interface. The sound coming from the amp itself, for me, isn't great.
I recently bought a Spark. And being a bit of a "butterfinger" type of guy with very little knowledge on it and... buttons in general, this video was great. I learned all i needed about Spark thru' here. Thank you for that 👍😊
This amp rocks for it being a guitar amp AND a bass amp, i have never heard such a nice guitar amp AND bass amp all into 1 package while maintaining composure at crazy high volumes, glad the video helped, but the tones are incredible especially when you take into account at such a small package it really packs a punch holy moly!!!
I just ordered one of these (May 2020) because after 30 years of playing guitar, my practicing has absolutely stalled to “can’t be bothered to pick up the guitar” most days. I’m interested in seeing how this can inspire me to get back in to playing, and jamming along with songs or backing tracks.
Vince P. - not much of an improvement. I used the amp a bunch in the first 2 weeks, then less often. Having trouble with interference and my phone keeps disconnecting from the amp, so just using the interface to tweak a preset tone, then just using that tone and ignoring the rest of the amp’s features. But my real rig sounds much better, and is 8’ away from the Spark, so often I just plug in to it instead.
@@stephen3164 , thanks, that's valuable insights. For me, the best chance of picking up the guitar (which I want to, but it always gets de-prioritized) is to make the setup part as simple as possible. These kinds of desktop amps are ideal for that. I have a Vox Adio Air GT and I think I will stick with that. I like how it sounds and the only possible improvement in the simplicity direction would be a wireless plug (I think the Boss Katana Air does that right). Also, I don't like devices in which the "companion app" can do more than the physical knobs and buttons. If the vendor stops maintaining the whatever app, it may make the device useless.
I ordered my Spark Amp Dec. 31st and received it mid June. Was it worth the wait...yes! This is a great video that I am going to study to make sure I am trying out everything the Spark practice amp offers. I have hooked it in to Spotify and play along with songs since it reveals the chords. It's been pretty seamless so far. It is so much fun that I actually continue playing till my fingers hurt (a couple hours) and then wait and go back for more. Is it a lesson in patience - yes - did I ever imagine I would be on summer vacay before it arrived - NO. If you are not a patient person just don't order it.
It's very rare to find any negative review on this thing. The many friends that I know that ordered it, are blown away. Everyone saying how they are many levels and realms they still feel they can explore. It's vast. Totally jealous. Great review.

So I have watched a lot of Spark videos as I was leaning towards getting it but just wasn't sure. Yours is the 1st video where I can actually see and hear what it truly is capable of. I ordered it and it will be mine on Wednesday! woohoo thank you
I'm excited to get my hands on these. From a production world it makes sense that the TH-camrs get the product first. There are usually a handful of first articles that are more proof of concept (These often kept internal). Many companies will do a small production run to test their facilities. These are the devices that get sent to youtubers. It helps drive up interest and I must say for this product its absolutely working. I think this will be well worth the wait.
I ordered the amp in November 2019. At that time I was told delivery would be the end of January. I'm still waiting. People have a right to be pissed off. They can't fulfill my order but have a truck load of amps to give away. All I've received from @positivegrid is excuses and lies. This while taking my money on the day that I ordered the amp. The fault here is theirs not mine.
The problem is that EVERY review up to date has been one that has been paid for by Positive Grid. And it's all just small to medium sized channels, the bigger review channels like intheblues, etschpi42 or Pete Thorn never even mentioned this thing. So far there isn't a single review by someone who actually bought this amp and there isn't a single comparison to the Boss Katana or the Yamaha THR. That makes me highly sceptical.
The excellent video and comments below confirm two points that I've seen on other videos: 1) it's a great practice amp and I want one; 2) it's a fantasy because, for those of us who live outside TH-cam world, they don't exist. For the makers, this might also become a problem because folks like me just won't bother ordering one at least until they've sorted out the supply and by then (a year later?) my thoughts and cash will have gone elsewhere as better alternatives are likely to have emerged.

I hate to say it (as a programmer) I was playing around with the app for months, but learned more off watching your review, THANK YOU. I love my SPARK, opens so many doors for cheap! $250 and I have $2.5 million worth of options.. If you are contemplating a SPARK, JUMP IN the water is awesome!

Listened to a lot of reviews before buying my Spark... and still look at reviews. This is one of the most comprehensive and easily followed overviews of the Spark's features I've seen. A little long playing some of the samples perhaps, but that's half the fun of this amp. You find a new tone and just can't stop noodling with it. And that library is effectively limitless.
@@gosman949 I ordered early last fall and the slow delivery was already well underway. Asia was awash in COVID and clearly they'd underestimated the demand. It took a couple months to arrive. I've no regrets for the choice or the wait. For my purposes it's a great little amp. I don't perform, just a living room player. The app works great (Android version) and gives me essentially unlimited tones to play around with. I wish I could same more than 4 to the amp, but using the app isn't that much of a hassle... other than finding my glasses to be able to see the screen on the phone. HA
ordered mine 5 months ago ( uk ). waited waited waited nothing. then got my notification, in germany. five days later booom on my door step. i know its a ball ache waiting , but its worth it. great bit of kit for the money.

Still waiting, but Positive Grid has generally been very transparent and communicative about the delays, especially now with the pandemic and they gave me free Bias FX which was great. Thank you for restoring my faith in this company PG. I've been enjoying a few of the the vids reviewing the spark but generally from the cats who can actually play. Many who are beginners don't do the cool features of this amp any favors. On top of the bad press over PG taking the $$ and taking over 6 months to deliver to some has created uncertainty in the market place. Now having said that, I've been very much interested in purchasing one but don't want to wait forever so I've kinda takin it off the menu for awhile and I'm waiting to see how the company performs in the coming weeks. Now I very much need to say again thank you so much for not just this great review and how efficiently you manipulated all the features, but what a great player you are and soulful human in your presentations. You are extremely talented and very well spoken so it's very clear you're an artist one wants to pay attention to. I live in sunny California in the good ol USA and have been a pro musician for a great portion of my life. Fortunate to know and hang with some of the marvelous musicians here in the LA region. Sadly the world is so far off its axis in the last few months the music and performance scene is a bit vague to say the least. Being an old dog in the fight I've been slow to dive into the wealth of possibilities in the world of social media primarily TH-cam. I'm a big fan of channels like yours so I'm frequently inspired to get in the race but have been going at slowly and learning as I go. Observing your casual and friendly method of sharing so much valuable information and having so much fun doing it has totally sparked ( no pun intended) my desire to become more involved on TH-cam. Being a creative I'm seeing more and more that this may be the last frontier for some of us to continue our musical journey. Combining music with a visual experience and sharing it with the world through any and all platforms of social media seems to be the only method of survival left at this moment in time. My order was placed Dec 4. Saw someone the other day who ordered mid Nov, and received his. Hoping mine comes soon. The wait has been pretty bad, but they gave me a code for Bias FX as a ride me over, which was a nice touch.

It's frustrating how all the musicians have got there hands on this amp!! I ordered mine December 14 2019, and still have not received the Spark amp yet!!! They are blowing it with this ridicules waiting period!! I'm happy to see you got your hands on one !!
All reviews on this amp have been paid, only youtubers got it, people who ordered it 5 months ago still have not received anything but promises.
My thoughts too. It is tone deaf that they hand these out for marketing (nothing against the musician at all, he did great), and make their paying customers wait so long.
@@realegt Geeze...you guys need to settle down lol. Products are handed out to reviewers ALL THE TIME. And it's not just TH-cam people. They obviously weren't prepared for the demand and yes, that is disappointing, but maybe remember this all is happening in the middle of a freaking pandemic.

@@gosman949 I bought one and just got it a few hours ago. The bass is very high, especially with the volume turned up. I am kind of disappointed. I always thought guitar rig on the computer with monitors was the best digital sound and this amp in my opinion isn't even as good a biasfx or biasamp. I'm not sure if there's an equalizer after all the effects and amps to remove the bass but it is overpowering.
@@journeytree yes they came out with an equalizer a few months back with a firmware update. Be sure and update the software! I love mine!
Thanks Rabea, this is the best run-down of the Spark I've seen yet. Particularly as you've covered all of the features in detail rather than just show a few tones. Seeing the smart jam function is great. I expect to get mine in the next 10 days 🤞(been waiting) and can't wait 🤘

Never trust a gear review with Rabea. That guy could make a Stagg BC Rich copy going into an old Line 6 Spider on the INSANE channel, with a Metal Zone in front sound epic.

I finally received mine, took 5 months, not complaining (now that I have it ;) .......One thing that could have been great to have was some sort of built-in battery pack to be able to play outside the studio. like a basking amp with the lot. btw man you come across like a sincere humble person and talented, that combination is hard to come by. This unit is totally awesome for the cost. It is a Jam ON machine! Granted I am no pro. I've been playing for 40 yrs and this thing is is one of the top 5 buy's for my guitar playin ever.

I just opened mine today (4-31) and (like all guitarists, I assume) turned it on and started playing. The sound really caught my interest. It wasn’t boxy. It has a beautiful low end without the fizzy high end that modelers are often plagued with. Then I installed the app on my iPhone and connected. I randomly tapped on a jam video and my head nearly exploded. it was so good playing with it. Chord changes and key are right there. Then all the other things you mentioned in your video... this may be the best money I’ve spent on my guitar habit in years. Awesome product!

Great little product. I got back into guitar mid-2020 after 10+ years off and eventually picked up a Spark as an alternative to the old Boss GT3 I was using. It blows the GT3 away in terms of the quality and range of the tones it can produce and I was amazed by how far things had moved on during my time away from guitar. The youngsters starting guitar with this kind of kit available are lucky! Aside from the tones, it's great to be able to hook it up to the computer for recording, to play in music / backing tracks via the app for jamming along with, and also the metronome is really handy.
Something I'd say about the amp is that for me it sounds much better when playing through good headphones or using as an audio interface. The sound coming from the amp itself, for me, isn't great.
I recently bought a Spark. And being a bit of a "butterfinger" type of guy with very little knowledge on it and... buttons in general, this video was great. I learned all i needed about Spark thru' here. Thank you for that 👍😊
This amp rocks for it being a guitar amp AND a bass amp, i have never heard such a nice guitar amp AND bass amp all into 1 package while maintaining composure at crazy high volumes, glad the video helped, but the tones are incredible especially when you take into account at such a small package it really packs a punch holy moly!!!
Just purchased one. I love it. Worth every penny and is only around $250. Great amp features and sound are awesome.
I just ordered one of these (May 2020) because after 30 years of playing guitar, my practicing has absolutely stalled to “can’t be bothered to pick up the guitar” most days.
I’m interested in seeing how this can inspire me to get back in to playing, and jamming along with songs or backing tracks.
Stephen E keep practicing you’ll be much better by the time you get yours, most likely in about half a year from the day you paid.

Vince P. - not much of an improvement. I used the amp a bunch in the first 2 weeks, then less often. Having trouble with interference and my phone keeps disconnecting from the amp, so just using the interface to tweak a preset tone, then just using that tone and ignoring the rest of the amp’s features. But my real rig sounds much better, and is 8’ away from the Spark, so often I just plug in to it instead.
@@stephen3164 , thanks, that's valuable insights. For me, the best chance of picking up the guitar (which I want to, but it always gets de-prioritized) is to make the setup part as simple as possible. These kinds of desktop amps are ideal for that. I have a Vox Adio Air GT and I think I will stick with that. I like how it sounds and the only possible improvement in the simplicity direction would be a wireless plug (I think the Boss Katana Air does that right).
Also, I don't like devices in which the "companion app" can do more than the physical knobs and buttons. If the vendor stops maintaining the whatever app, it may make the device useless.
I ordered my Spark Amp Dec. 31st and received it mid June. Was it worth the wait...yes! This is a great video that I am going to study to make sure I am trying out everything the Spark practice amp offers. I have hooked it in to Spotify and play along with songs since it reveals the chords. It's been pretty seamless so far. It is so much fun that I actually continue playing till my fingers hurt (a couple hours) and then wait and go back for more. Is it a lesson in patience - yes - did I ever imagine I would be on summer vacay before it arrived - NO. If you are not a patient person just don't order it.
It's very rare to find any negative review on this thing. The many friends that I know that ordered it, are blown away. Everyone saying how they are many levels and realms they still feel they can explore. It's vast. Totally jealous. Great review.

I'm excited to get my hands on these. From a production world it makes sense that the TH-camrs get the product first. There are usually a handful of first articles that are more proof of concept (These often kept internal). Many companies will do a small production run to test their facilities. These are the devices that get sent to youtubers. It helps drive up interest and I must say for this product its absolutely working. I think this will be well worth the wait.
I ordered the amp in November 2019. At that time I was told delivery would be the end of January. I'm still waiting. People have a right to be pissed off. They can't fulfill my order but have a truck load of amps to give away. All I've received from @positivegrid is excuses and lies. This while taking my money on the day that I ordered the amp. The fault here is theirs not mine.
The problem is that EVERY review up to date has been one that has been paid for by Positive Grid. And it's all just small to medium sized channels, the bigger review channels like intheblues, etschpi42 or Pete Thorn never even mentioned this thing. So far there isn't a single review by someone who actually bought this amp and there isn't a single comparison to the Boss Katana or the Yamaha THR. That makes me highly sceptical.

The excellent video and comments below confirm two points that I've seen on other videos: 1) it's a great practice amp and I want one; 2) it's a fantasy because, for those of us who live outside TH-cam world, they don't exist. For the makers, this might also become a problem because folks like me just won't bother ordering one at least until they've sorted out the supply and by then (a year later?) my thoughts and cash will have gone elsewhere as better alternatives are likely to have emerged.
Rabea you're every manufacturers dream. I literally have never heard you play anything and sound bad. Could play through a match box and I'd buy it.

Listened to a lot of reviews before buying my Spark... and still look at reviews. This is one of the most comprehensive and easily followed overviews of the Spark's features I've seen. A little long playing some of the samples perhaps, but that's half the fun of this amp. You find a new tone and just can't stop noodling with it. And that library is effectively limitless.

@@gosman949 I ordered early last fall and the slow delivery was already well underway. Asia was awash in COVID and clearly they'd underestimated the demand. It took a couple months to arrive.
I've no regrets for the choice or the wait. For my purposes it's a great little amp. I don't perform, just a living room player. The app works great (Android version) and gives me essentially unlimited tones to play around with. I wish I could same more than 4 to the amp, but using the app isn't that much of a hassle... other than finding my glasses to be able to see the screen on the phone. HA

Still waiting, but Positive Grid has generally been very transparent and communicative about the delays, especially now with the pandemic and they gave me free Bias FX which was great. I CAN"T WAIT TO GET MINE....This thing could really be a game changer for these kinds of devices if it actually does even HALF of what it promises to do....

Thank you for restoring my faith in this company PG. I've been enjoying a few of the the vids reviewing the spark but generally from the cats who can actually play. Many who are beginners don't do the cool features of this amp any favors. On top of the bad press over PG taking the $$ and taking over 6 months to deliver to some has created uncertainty in the market place. Now having said that, I've been very much interested in purchasing one but don't want to wait forever so I've kinda takin it off the menu for awhile and I'm waiting to see how the company performs in the coming weeks.
Now I very much need to say again thank you so much for not just this great review and how efficiently you manipulated all the features, but what a great player you are and soulful human in your presentations. You are extremely talented and very well spoken so it's very clear you're an artist one wants to pay attention to.
I live in sunny California in the good ol USA and have been a pro musician for a great portion of my life. Fortunate to know and hang with some of the marvelous musicians here in the LA region. Sadly the world is so far off its axis in the last few months the music and performance scene is a bit vague to say the least. Being an old dog in the fight I've been slow to dive into the wealth of possibilities in the world of social media primarily TH-cam. I'm a big fan of channels like yours so I'm frequently inspired to get in the race but have been going at slowly and learning as I go. Observing your casual and friendly method of sharing so much valuable information and having so much fun doing it has totally sparked ( no pun intended) my desire to become more involved on TH-cam. Being a creative I'm seeing more and more that this may be the last frontier for some of us to continue our musical journey. Combining music with a visual experience and sharing it with the world through any and all platforms of social media seems to be the only method of survival left at this moment in time.
Please forgive this long winded reach out but it's meant as a true compliment to you and you're methods of teaching and inspiring. Bravo my friend.
