I recently owned a very low mileage early cbr600f, I had the carbs off three times to sort a low speed hesitation issue. Each dismantle took an eternity. As soon as I got it running perfectly I traded it in for a later bike with fuel injection. With the current ethanol infused fuel I didn't fancy a carb strip after any lengthy lay up. The only bike I have left with a carb is a two stroke with only one which is easily accessible. So the future's fuel injection for me until we are forced down the electric route.
I am with you on the electric route. It's only matter of time!
I like that yellow. Its a bit like the old Taxi cabs in Oz, but only cooler :)

I'm with you on the Yamaha thing. I've had them in various shapes and sizes since 1975, two strokes, four strokes, air cooled and water cooled. Guess I've just got used to how Yamaha put them together. I've had other makes but always seem to come back to them and currently have four.

I all ways replace the o rings in between carbs now when rebuilding for the few pennies they are it’s just not worth the head ache. I was told this ethanol fuel obliterates the old style o rings. NRP Carbs in Manchester can supply them fast.
The frustrating bit I'd that I did replace them already, but not with the right rings as I didn't have them at the time. Lesson learned!

We all get those problematic bikes & everyone has a tendency to lean towards certain manufacturers,hence so many of them.
I feel your frustration but once done it should hold.

I know how you feel. I've got my Bandit cards off for the umpteenth time and it's such a pain to get them on.
I am quite good at these now. It's splitting them that is a pain!
Had the same with a mk1 bandit 600 aswell
It does get frustrating but will be worth it in the end.

I can't comment on your struggle with the Honda mate - I don't do carbs as you know - but I'm sure you'll prevail in the end! Oh and my GSXR1000 has got the hump - what with Suzuki not getting a mention in your "big 3"?? ;0)

I have the same problem and I don’t know how to fix it. I need not standard detail which to find it in my country is a big problem
Mine turned out to be mostly bad spark plugs. Iridium spark plugs sorted it mate.
In my case it is an elastic band between carburetors
And I cannot find this detail anywhere. But for the rest this motorcycle will beget more me and my children

nice bike tell ya what ive got a 2006 triumph speed four failed mot on 1 headlamp no highbeam been standing for a year now electrics have gone funny i cant figure it out recon might be to do with cat3 alarm but i know nothing how do you fancy a triumph prject bike lol
