This is incredible as always: such pure, raw emotion, and her vocals when she sings 'burn it down' throughout and 'I feel down' near the end gave me chills ... thank you, Daughter, for continuing to make such otherworldly, hauntingly beautiful music.
Etiolin It sounds quite different from their previous works. I hope they will release a new album soon at least as good as the two they have so far. And yes, the raw feeling in the "burn it down" sounds haunting, bitter and beautiful.
FodderRev It does sound quite different from their previous works, but equally as wonderful, I think. I too am excited to hear more of their new work and am curious to see how they are evolving. Though they experiment with different sounds in different songs, in all the songs I've heard from them, that rawness of emotion and sincerity comes through.

I think this song really helps personify Chloe's fury. You literally can feel the transformation of her world breaking down around her as she becomes consumed with anger and despair. Serious fucking chills right now
The kind of bridge between ~ 1:58 and 2:18 is absolutely gorgeous. Can't explain why, but the layers of melodies are just perfect. Like in one or two songs from Alt-J or Arcade Fire, but definitely not everywhere...

When I've noticed this, for really short moment I literally stopped breathing. My favourite things together. Thought it would only be Numbers in Before the Storm trailer, but whole new song...? Wow. I'm speechless. This is so great.

Ya, I can see how anybody would say that. It is a really good fit for the game's atmosphere. I have songs and covers from the original. But I think Daughter's OST for the new Prequel may get a lot of plays on my list.
Seriously, Daughter is so underrated. Anything that is created for LIS by daughter is a masterpiece..
I´ve been having some really hard times lately. This past year has been nothing but a last attempt at learning how to breathe, learning how to make my heart beat.
Even though your music never really makes me feel happy, it does something much more important for me. It makes me feel understood. It makes me feel like even though I, myself can´t quite describe my emotions, my pains and struggles, I always have somewhat of a safe place in your music, a place where all the walls are painted grey, where all the furniture is covered with shreds of my mistakes and bad decisions, and even though it crushes me, and suffocates me, I know it is real. More real than anything I have ever felt in my life. More real than the days I spend at school, more real than the people I talk to, more real than the room I sleep in. It´s not one of my stupid dreams that I never learned to ignore, that I always try to live in. It is real and hazy and dim, and the only place where I feel alive. The only place where I feel.

Nina Thorson Right? I was actually shocked when I realized how simular Chloes story is to mine. Lost my dad in around the same age and had a very bad relationship to my step dad afterwards. I were used to keep away from home though my mom was worried and I knew it. I also LOVE science (and will probably study chemistry). Also weed was my best friend (which is alright since I have an official medical reason now).
Never thought a videogame could handle this topic so authentically.

This song was such a strong auditory piece for the Junkyard scene with Rachel....I felt so much agency,panic and shock when the scene played out, I felt so much fear for the characters and the music was just such a parallel reflection of the sadness in the scene,the music uplifted the scene and made it stronger,absolutely amazing from Decknine!
