Forestry Mulching Mature Honeysuckle - Invasive species removal

This property has literally been completely choked out by honeysuckle, invasive species that reach this level of maturity can be quite a pain to deal with. Our goal for this job was to clear out 2 sections for the customer, one in the back yard that totaled 2 acres for a future pasture and garden area and the other area up we cleaned up for a better view from the front of the house.

Do you try to avoid the native plants like Spice Bush?

Kudos to the homeowner for controlling the invasive but if they do are just going to mow the area now? So sad. 😢

what attachment are you using are you skid?

Can you establish grass in those areas by the next season?

It depends on if your cutting hardwoods trees or soft invasives like honeysuckle. Typically with in a year or 18 months you can get grass established in areas where honeysuckle has been mulched.

Youd be in the range of anywhere from $4k-$8k all depends on job site cleanliness (rocks) and how dense it is and the diameter of material being but along with species, thats why i dont quote by the hour i quote by the job and how rough on my equipment it will be.
