      I imagine that good sized portion of the movies reviewed on this channel were some sort of money laundering scheme. I know Uwe Boll for sure was doing it but not so much to launder money, they were making those movies in German and Germany had a reimbursement plan to help artists and that includes movie makers so even if they lost money they still made money off the government. I don't know the details because this stuff was talked about several years ago and one of the reasons Uwe Boll is no longer dumping bad movies into the cinema ecosystem is they fixed whatever he was exploiting.

    These hopping Vampires are actualy called "Jiangshi" and come from China. They are reanimeted corpses like zombies but normaly hunt at night like vampires. So yeah, the people who made the movie fucked up the day time, when they normaly attack people by absorbing their "Qi" (chi) and not biting them and drinking their blood or even eat them. They begun really strong with their mythology and ended up with a generic monster who scares nobody anymore. Just like Hollywood did the same with Werewolves, Vampires, Mutants or something else. But surprisingly Zombies never lost their scariness. I don't know how they doing it. Maybe it is the cause of a zombie outbreak or how they behave. Yeah this is it, I think. @@Ming1975 I'd start with the Star Wars prequal trilogy... follow up with Ghostbusters 2016, then all the 1984 version of "Dune".
      Waterworld, The Postman, Ishtar,
      Catwoman with Halle Berry The Charlies Angels movies, Josie and the Pussycats...
      ALL of the Mission Impossible movies [I have the original series on DVD so I'm hyper-critical of the utter dreck Cruise put out], The Twilight movies... Oh the Cr*p list is endless.
      Utter garbage all
      Now, I have the Star Wars flicks because I'm a completionist, so... Yeah, but I've not looked at another Star Wars movie since, NOT when the prequals made the Star Wars Holiday Special look incredible by comparison, and I Ripped a copy of Ghostbusters 2016 and re-burned it with the Plinkett review shown BEFORE the feature for purely educational purposes [he dissects that movie brutally and there is not a single unfair criticism in the lot] but the rest, I'd have to borrow.
      One of the WORST though was Divergent.
      A friend pirated it off the net, burned it to DVD and we watched about 35 minutes of it, Looked at each other, stopped the film, pulled the disc out of the machine and binned it. He looked at me and said "I just STOLE that movie, and I still feel like I'M the one who got cheated".
      I agree completely.
      Now if you want an endurance test, try "Death Curse of Tartu" 1966.
      It took me six tries to actually watch the whole thing, I'd usually turn it off about 20 minutes in.
      If you want REAL pain, watch it in double feature [as it was originally presented in theatres] with "Sting of Death" 1966
      The monster in THAT movie is worth every minute of the agony you will endure to get to the "Big reveal".
      I never laughed so hard in my life.
      I was literally in tears for about 15 minutes.
      Yeah... when it comes to movies I COULD hurt someone....

They're reanimated corpses that hop around due to their bodies going through rigor mortis and they actually feed on 'Qi' (which is like one's lifeforce), they're called 'Chinese vampires' but they're not really vampires in the European sense nor do they share the same weaknesses as European vampires. • @MrNetWraith
    @MrNetWraith 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    In fairness, whilst this is a legitimately bad movie on its own merits, the behavior of the "vampires" actually does make sense; this is a Chinese film, and those "vampires", are Jiang-shi, a term that more literally translates as something "Stiff Corpses". Despite their tendency to be translated into English as "Vampires", in their mythology, they're actually closer to zombies, and are usually the product of evil Tao sorcery. So, yeah, the corpse-like appearance and running around in daylight are actually mythologically accurate, which is surprising for a movie like this.

    • @macdeus2601
      @macdeus2601 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      "Chinese water torture" is also real (supposedly, or at least it's in other literary sources, not something the people who made this movie came up with themselves), but the idea is that you keep someone restrained for a really long time, and the repetitive, slightly annoying thing combined with the prolonged inability to stop it will *eventually* make them depressed or angry enough to be desperate for release from it.
      Not that anyone will actually be in pain from a little bit of water dripping on them.

I was just so relieved Robo survived his "short circuit". Also the gondola explosion stunt looked insanely dangerous. Followed by "Nobody gets away from me." Who the f**k is he? At 19:48 did Robo just like pull a hop & hover? He just floats there? I feel your pain Tenfold. Anyway the blonde actress looked so bombed. Everytime she's on screen she behaves like she's ripped, definitely high. It's too bad Robo didn't turn the flamethrower onto all the film stock. Well that's all I got let me hop away.
