I’m all for saving a few bucks… but this is definitely a place to hire the right truck. This is almost insane. I love it.
You definitely make it look easy. I think this is one of the few things I’m quite happy to spend $500 on to not deal with the headaches and frankly gross mess 😅
Chuck, your versatility and positive attitude can even make the "cruddiest" day into a sunny one. Love your videos.
I have been thinking of pumping out my own tank but did not know what type of pump to use. Now I know as its a "Mud Pump". That is great info and thank for the video and all of your info.
Just what I needed to watch early in the morning.
Did you enjoy your breakfast ? Lol
As always I learn something valuable from your videos. Thank you for sharing!
Wowzers. You sure find some adventures Chuck! Thanks for showing us this. Next up: Sausage Making😀
You have to admire how unfazed Chuck is doing this work.
I’m on city sewer thankfully, but if I was on septic this is a chore that I wouldn’t have thought twice about hiring a septic professional.
My 1000 gal tank cost 250 to pump out. I clean my effluent filter every few months myself, but I would never do this. So you have my respect my man lol
This is exactly what I've been searching for and the clip will be saved for further use..
First I'm going to use a septic cleaning product called Septic Plus so I can pump out the tank and dump it at our council RV and bulk dumping point.
Can u all imagine the smell in there and around there? My deepest respect to this man pumping it.
Awesome, thanks for your tips !!!
This is a fascinating video. Thank you. I never realize this was the way the septic tanks work. I thought it was just a closed container that periodically got pumped out.
Another Great video Chuck thanks for sharing and you gave lot of good tips,
There are female products in every tank!! I just pumped mine out after 32 years for the first time. I still didn't have a problem but called to have it pumped anyway. It greatly needed it. Pumped it out and I'm operating ok after two months. I added copper sulphate first and a couple weeks later, I'll start adding the yeast every month. I do know now, it's best to do it every 3 or 4 years and you shouldn't have any worries! It did cost $360. I've lived in this house alone for most of the time, that's the only way I could've went this long without a major problem and I'm a man.
That was a easy job I have to dig to get to my lids😅
Pump & hose, container, gas for truck, land fill fee....lotta time and trouble I think.....jesayin.
I'm glad you didn't recommend renting a pump. Thanks goodness! Most rental yards do not allow for their trash pumps to be used for sewage.
On a side note, my former coworker is a licensed plumber. He described those 'pits' as "Liquid Gold".
Can you show a video of priming it and pumping start to finish, I tried doing the same thing and it wouldn't prime I bought the same pump to do what you are and it wouldn't prime?
In my Area the cost of pumping a tank out is 150dol to 250 dol not that much money I think . Jobs not for everyone
Thanks Chuck
Makes me grateful for my sewer. Everything I flush ends up miles away.
I have always been taught not to flush anything down the toilet that isn't TP since I was little. I worked at a restaurant where we would get our tank clogged up and we (the employees) had to learn how to unclog it and it was just horrible. When we found out someone flushed down their applicators, she said she never knew she couldn't. Like everything else, it's important to educate others. If they don't know, how will they know?
Awesome Job! did you take the waste to a treatment facility (local rules are that here) or a dump? I would DIY, but can't justify owning a large tank at the house when it would be done every 4 years. I do take fatburgs out every year since the family loves the 3 ply stuff.
Name and brand of pump please ? Thanks
Is the sludge a name for dookie??🤔
Is the drainfield failing because there’s a lot of black water above the outlet 6:29
when you disposed of the effluent at the dump, how did you get it out of the container? And was there a specific site or hole or field at the dump that you were required to drain it into?
Good thing there were no wipes!
When a septic company comes out, are they supposed to pump out both sides or just one?
We service ours every 5 years. Just had it done.
how much does something like that cost u
@@traviswwilliams7171Depends on where you live, we live in Central Michigan. It costs three hundred and fifty dollars
@@traviswwilliams7171In South Central Indiana 150 to $250 not bad as far as I'm concerned . Helped 2 friends do it I won't be doing that Just like this fellow nasty Big Time.
Worth paying someone to me. Septic truck will just suck it clean. Your still going to have those hard products in there that could cause problems later
That for confirming that the $300 is well worth it to have a professional do it every three years.
Helped a friend pump his out Lots and Lots of cigarette buts from his daughters in tank cloging up hose with screen on it . and female products .I get the professionals to do mine .
Did it smell bad in there? 🤪
Would have charged her double!!
Great video, but 🤢🤮
Someone's gotta do it!
that stuff stinks ! (I almost thought I was watching " the view " when I imagined smelling it. )
That poor shovel
no way this is a 600 gallons tote
Women just don't seem to get how easily blockages are made in pipes... Yet they want equality 🤣🤣
They can have equality by getting out there and sucking out that tank with Chuck.
That looks more like a 330 gallon tote.
Don't drop your camera !
I don't believe I can do that,... I do believe I can pick up the phone and call a pump truck.
Your not permitted to say female anymore, you have to say birthing person lol
How about Tampon person. does that work? lol🤣
Hell with that! "Male and female He made them!" From the Old Testament Genesis.
Lol "female tenants" ditzs
I would've made the tenant do this .. seriously
