Question - when you tightened the side rails down and now that it's installed, is it putting excessive pressure on the inside of the bed caps on either side, causing them to lift up on the outside near the bulkhead? A few weeks ago I ordered and installed a Truxedo pro x15 on my new Tacoma TRD Sport. The siderail installation is almost the same as this one. Like you said you did, I put a good amount of downward pressure when installing the side rails to get a good tight fit and seal. However, within a few hours I noticed that it was putting so much pressure on the inside/bed side of the top cap, that the outside portion of the bed cap was lifting creating a good 1/4 inch or more gap. Not happy at all and hated the way it looked. Uninstalled and returned it and have been looking for a replacement. Although the Truxedo was a roll-up cover which is what I was looking for, I'd be willing to switch to a tri-fold if it sits better on the top cap and doesn't cause any lifting or deformation of the plastic top bed cap. Thanks
Will this work with a Sport Premium (or Hybrid) model? They have a cubbyhole on the back left of the box, and most tonneau covers I've looked at block access to that cubby. It has the power adapter and USB ports in it.
I prefer to use a soft rollup tonneau cover. I had an OEM trifold on my gen 3 Tacoma TRD Sport. It looked good and kept all of the moisture out but I l lost a sizable portion of my bed. If I could slide something under the part next to the cab it was fine but the third fold prevented any item taller than the cover. I’m looking to use a rollup cover built by Access because I had one on my 2009 GMC pickup that lasted in perfect shape for 12 years. The Velcro was absolutely water tight and performed flawlessly. It was a $700 cover(including installation) though.
Looks like a pretty nice tonneau cover Rob, not sure if I spelled that correctly but whatever it does look like a nice outfit let us know how it holds the water out it does look pretty nice, doesn’t stick up very much and I like that, I just have the threefold Mopar thing on my truck which is fine but it does look pretty sweet👍
Heyyy, that was my recommendation on FB!! Hope you enjoy it. Mine has been solid so far . I agree, super easy install and for the price, its a great cover. Ive driven in some hard rain, very minimal water inside bed… small amount in tailgate area but like I said minimal.. items in bed stay dry.

This is the cover I've been eyeballing.

I would check with the vendor on that.
