After 8 perfect days of Bright Lines, (my first 8 ever), I am on vacation. I did so well the first 3 days of vacation eating, but crashed and burned yesterday. I am suffering today from relapse - and truly suffering. Thank you for your honesty and insight. I'm going clean today because of your words, your love, and your support. It's amazing how badly I feel today, compared to how I felt just a day ago!
Take loving care of yourself, Diane. Vacation is a challenging time and you're doing your best. That said, I'm impressed that you're going clean today. I know it's not easy. You can do it!! xoxo
Already booked a family activity - horseback riding for Thanksgiving. Trying to make the holiday about sharing moments and making memories rather than eating. Love only-
Thank you so, so much for emphasizing the “why”. I WAS starting to consider options for holiday treats. Mourning a little. Of course it’s hard to let go of traditions, and my brain wants to have a tantrum. So here I am. Thanks for standing beside me and holding my hand. Grateful.
You have a way of articulating how I have felt my whole life in a way that I’ve never felt understood and not crazy. Thank you for your intellect, courage, and everything you do ❤️
I think the quote you referenced was one by Kayla Itsines on Instagram. It really struck a chord with me as well.. "Discipline is when you choose between what you want now and what you want more."
Susan - thanks so much for the thoughts on holiday eating! After 4 months of bright, clear lines I have achieved so much peace and automaticity. I do NOT want to jeopardize it. I'm thinking 4 oz of turkey and 14 oz. of veggies will be fine - just like every other day. I've learned from BLE friends how hard it is to get back on track after a break - that's not a lesson I want to learn for myself. I plan on playing games with my kids and enjoying the day without all the heavy food that would leave me feeling bloated and miserable! Hope everyone has a bright and shiny Thanksgiving! We are Unstoppable!!!!
This is my experience, too. Thank you for sharing and helping me to see the inequality of what I'm giving up and what I'm getting when I turn to my addiction. A quote that helps me by Matthew Kelley is "The only way to say no to anything is to have a deeper yes." This vlog helps me remember my yes. Thank you.
You should have prefaced with.... I don’t know who needs to hear this right now. My 🖐 would have gone up. I’m feeling so good without flour and sugar, cravings poof gone. Keeping bright lines is easier than getting bright lines back. I’m planning now on what I can eat for Thanksgiving to keep my lines bright.
Hey, if I wrote a book and published, I'd want to watch it rise to NYT Number 1! Important timing with this message. Thank you. (Those first days of rezooming is difficult enough to me smack that sabator, and not cross a bright line, during the holiday!)
Susan- I feel that I would have been so intimidated by you if I thought wow 🤩 10 years perfect I can never join that navy seals quality. It’s like going to a church and everyone is perfect and no one talks about real messy human stuff they may feel or have done ✅ So although I know it did affect you badly to break your lines -it makes this movement more human and relatable. That being said ... I will know that if I ever break my Chrystal vase 🏺 (17 days in BLE) then I have hope it can be done to pull up and use my lessons for good to myself or someone else like yours has.❤️
Started BLE last year right before Thanksgiving and made it through all of the holidays without any trouble whatsoever. But I didn't survive my wedding in March and have been struggling ever since.
Rezooming can be tough; especially after a long period of time. I've found that support is KEY. Having a person with whom you're accountable daily (often multiple times a day) can make all the difference! That said, timing is everything... If you feel ready. Really ready. Then line up your support and start with a beginner's mindset--just like you did the first time last year. I know it's not easy in the beginning. You're not alone. You can do this! xoxo

I love that quote, another one that really got me through was....... I didn't come this far to only come this far......
That's a great one too! 💙
