「メーテーン郡中心地から北東にある最大の寺院 ワット・バンデンは1894年に建てられ、かつては、村の丘陵地に位置していました。1988年3月にお寺の状態が酷かったため地元民から寄付を集め、復興事業が始められ、高い丘の上の場所で、新しいラーンナー王朝の伝統的な様式で建てられました。」

涅槃像驚くほどの大きさですね、目の前で圧倒されたのでは。屋根の造形的な様子は結構好きな印象です。いろんな動物？の象もとっても興味深いです。日本の寺院と違った美しい景観です。

横になっている仏様は、本当に大きかったです！！圧倒されました。
ワットバンデンは、様々な表現を近代的に再現された印象でした。
タイの寺院は、日本と全く違う景観で、被写体として大変満足させていただきました☆
