You guys got an all around solid player it helps that he was a four year starter in college so he has a lot of experience and knows what to do on the court
I don't get why people didn't expect this. He's a European player. We know, from basically every prospect that's came out of the Euro leagues, that they all have extremely good basketball iq. Dude just needs to develop a shot and the hawks have a guy that they can pair with Young to have a super good young core. Don't be sleeping on the hawks. OO, JJ, Hunter, Young, and now Risacher is a mean young core.
Kolek will make an All-rookie team. He is very similar to Brunson but not quite the finisher and better passing. He will be highly efficient backing up Jalen. He understands the game
While this is just summer league and things can and most likely will change, Sarr is looking like a prime example of the idea of a player being better than the reality. Sure, Sarr’s physicals and mobility are amazing, but those things distracted people from the fact that Sarr has a ton of weaknesses currently. He’s a bad shooter, bad rebounder, isn’t physical, finishes poorly at the rim, etc. While he has potential, many fans, including myself, focused strictly on potential and ignored all his present flaws to crown him the top prospect of this class.
@@sprintstothebathroomdaily2429 I agree that we need to give him a few years before we make any final judgements, but I disagree that bigs take more time than other players comparatively speaking. While Sarr is an exception bc of how raw he is, bigs typically have a smoother transition into the NBA especially compared to guards. @@Entity_-db4js agreed, but on paper Sarr isn’t the rim protector or rebounder that Lively was coming out of the gate. He also got to play next to an elite facilitator in Luka and Sarr won’t have that. Not saying Sarr can’t provide what Lively did last year, but I don’t think it’s likely
@@treymatthews3353 best case scenarios for sarr is he gains enough confidence in the paint to score there because he can’t be jacking up jump shots all game with the combination of athleticism and height he has, but without a proper facilitator anymore we’ll just have to see, if they kept avdija maybe they could have worked well together but we’ll never know
